UMU-IGBO am proud of you all and am proud to be an igboman and i will not trade my people for anything in the world.long live alaigbo, long live umuigbo, long live biafra. PLS CAN ANY PEOPLE IN OWERRI,AWKA,ONITSHA,UMUAHIA,ASABA,ABA DO THEIR OWN PHOTO COVERAGE TOO.WE NEED TO START TELLING OUR OWN STORIES TO THE WORLD AND NOT ALLOW ALL THESE NOISE MAKER TELL US WHAT WE ARE.WE NEED TO START SHOWING OUR CITIES TOO TO SHUT THEM UP.THEY ALWAYS SAY THAT OUR PLACE IS VILLAGE AND THEIR PLACE IS NEW YORK(DIRTY PEOPLE) |

I think the siting of the engineering campus in Imo was based on numerical advantage.igbos generally are inclined towards engineering and you cant talk of technology/engineering without the igbos and also proximity to SE/SS which is base of our technology driven industries like the automobile industry, aluminium, plastic, glass, building material, fabrication, fabric &drug/pharmaceutical industries in Nnewi, onitsha&Aba, oil and gas industries in d SS of Rivers and Delta, but present indications have shown that the SE will be the next oil & gas haven with shell's 3billion dollar gas refinery in Imo which is the largest of its kind in the whole of Africa and Anambra/Enugu joining the oil states with orient oil exploration and refinery coming up. IMO,it is right to have sited the business/social science campus in ogun because of proximity to lagos which is the commercial capital of west africa.so there will be high demand for business executive which Yoruba pipu like to use as a yardstick to rate education....lol(funny pipu).while that of benin is understandable tøo,nigeria's argicultural research center is in edo state and also it is close to Ondo,Kogi and Edo itself which are all cocoa belt region.do u wonder while FUTA was site in an oil state of Ondo and not Ekiti,Ogun or even Lagos.make una use una head kakulate. |

The Benue State Commissioner for Health and Social Services, Dr. Oduen Abunku, has disclosed that over 600,000 persons are currently living with the dreaded HIV/AIDS in the state. Abunku lamented that skyrocketing figure had left the state on the top of chart of available statistics of the most endemic states in the federation. The Commissioner, who spoke at the joint Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, signing ceremony between the Benue State Government, the NKST Health Services and the Nigeria Indigenous Capacity Building Project, regretted that HIV/AIDS infestation in the state was destroying and eroding the state’s capacity in the food and agriculture. He said: “In Nigeria, Benue State has for many years topped the chart of the prevalence of HIV/AIDS with over 600,000 persons living with the virus in the state. “The virus is destroying our farms, schools and churches and that is why we will continue to partner organisations who are providing services to the infected and affected in the state.” He called on all development partners in the current war against the virus in the state to redouble their efforts at curbing the prevalence of the virus in the state. In his remarks, Governor Gabriel Suswam, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Dr. David Salifu, said his administration would continue to partner relevant agencies and international partners to ensure that the scourge of AIDS in the state was effectively checked. Suswam, who disclosed that at the inception of his administration, the state had only one HIV/AIDS treatment centre, however, noted that his administration had established 20 more centres for the benefit of the infected. The governor urged the people of the state to put aside their socio-political differences and join forces against the virus in the state, adding: “We must put aside our socio-political differences and stand up against the virus, so that our people will be able to lead a normal live.

Mark’s Comment: Cold War Brews Between Northern EldersSeem like the north is beginning to get the message that the middlebelt is not with them any more on their "one north one bullshit".the comment from senate Davide mark is a silent message and if things continue like this then i think it will be right to say good morning to ndi hausa |
A standoff between the leaders of the north and of the middle belt appears on the offing to further threaten the already fragile national polity. Information available to 247ureports.com indicates that the Middle Belt Youth Forum warned Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, Prof. Ango Abdullahi to desist from labeling the Senate President, General David Mark a fool. The Senate President while at the senate retreat in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State had charged the leaders of Northern Nigeria to curb the excess antics on the dreaded Islamic terrorist group, the Boko Haram – that is living and unleashing terror in the north. Some of the northern leaders did not fancy the comments – and were not shy about letting their thoughts out in public over their take on the public comments of the Senate President. In particular, some of the leaders labeled the number three citizen of the nation “a fool”. The middle belt forum, representing the leadership of the middle belt responded to what it termed a diatribe on the part of northern leaders. The forum stated that it was unfortunate, unjustified and disrespectful against the person and office of the Senate President, Sen. David Mark for some prominent northern leaders to make such comments. Specifically, they stated that Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, Prof. Ango Abdullahi and Shehu Sani exhibited “intolerance and Lack of respect and disregard” for the office of the Senate President. In a public statement signed by the National Leader of the Forum, Hon. Jonathan Asake, it stated that Yakasai has lost all his sense of decorum for referring to the senate president as ‘a fool’. The statement continued that “This is unacceptable, the likes of Yakasai, instead of taking time to soberly ponder and reflect on the dispassionate, patriotic and courageous remarks made by the senate president which found National approval and commendation, they instead preferred to let sentiments and emotions to eclipse their sense of reasoning. We take exception to these insults on a National figure such as the senate president. The Middle Belt youth forum hereby completely aligns itself with the observations and comments made by the senate president during the senate retreat in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. There is no doubt that many of the Northern leaders have continued to pretend and played the proverbial ostrich while the bombings by Boko Haram with impunity, of innocent and defenseless people especially of Christians in their Churches continued”. The forum went on to explain that the uncouth comments from Yakasai and other northern leaders were a clear indications to complicity either directly or indirectly, or an endorsement of the activities of the Boko Haram against the sovereignty of Nigeria and the Jonathan’s presidency. |

The Living Biafra ( https://www.morebooks.de/store/gb/book/the-living-biafra/isbn/978-3-659-14179-9) is a compendium on world politics, majoring on its effects on Africa, especially on the 1914 amalgamated Nigeria of the West Africa, the indigenous people of Biafra, and its repercussive effects on a world seeking the complete enthronement of true human rights, democracy and the rule of law. It is a timely-written book which deals with the Nigerian state, her birth, existence, citizens, politics, developments, loses, consequences and history, in explanatory manners, from a new angle and with the intentions to educate, not just those bound for close to a century by this name, Nigeria, but everyone, on the needs for a detailed analysis of where we presently are, where the Nigeria of today is inevitably going in its lawlessness, and the indispensability of a Sovereign National Conference, so as to enable the different nations, bound by the ever-declining statehood of Nigeria and the woes of demands through ethnic cleansing and religious terrorism, determine through a most peaceful way how to wriggle out of an age-long stagnation and backwardness which has told greatly on us all, both in our relationships with one another as fellow compelled-citizens, and our relationship with the rest of the world. Viewing the earth as a global village, it will be correct, therefore, to state that human rights denied Biafrans is human rights denied the whole of Africa; and this denial goes a longer way to affect the global goal for peace and prosperity. After a very committed time and focus, painstaking and well-done research on the country, Nigeria, I have decided to write this book ( https://www.morebooks.de/store/gb/book/the-living-biafra/isbn/978-3-659-14179-9). My goal is not an outright discrediting of a false amalgam called Nigeria as negative criticism would assume, but as one deeply concerned with all Nigerians with whom I have shared the continued and downward spiral retrogression of this country created by the racist Britain whose only vision of/for Africa is the land of the slaves, I intend, however, to show that Nigeria, as a single country, has and still actually does more harm than good to a world which has long woken to awareness. With the birth of the Biafran nation, the pathetic stories and woes in today’s *One Nigeria*and its undeniable repercussions on the entire world would never have risen in the first instance had the Nigerian government and its ignorant and racist allies not fore-stalled the progress of Africa by supporting and standing by Gowon and his genocide machine and tendencies as he carried, even as his *One Nigeria* still does today, acts of genocide against the Igbo/Biafrans. A geographical area filled with every conceivable blessing and coated in the light of divine favors, would be expected to be the envy of all, fifty-two (52) years after its independence. A forced-country with vast history and experience (such as Nigeria is and has) should be looked upon by other smaller and less endowed nations in matters of governance, democracy, justice, security, prosperity, peace and progress. A people whose population is over one hundred and sixty (160, 000, 000) in Africa ought to be looked upon to adequately match its quality of leadership with its ever-increasing and diversified population. But it is not! This is my first book, and it’s another approach in my affirmative and emphatic stand for unrestricted true human rights, justice, equality, security, peace and progress for all. It will serve as a rich archive to those interested in the political and economic goings-on in Nigeria and how it has, for decades, affected the lives of the occupied nations, especially the Igbo/Biafra, within the compelled *One Nigeria* since independence. Students of history may also find it a helpful guide in their works. The points in this book are not new to many men and women who, at different times even before independence, had ruled Nigeria, either directly or through proxy. The details are, however, intended to give all Nigerians, especially those of Igbo nation, and those indirectly involved, a clearer picture of where we are, who we have become, and where we are evidently going with the Nigeria of today. Not denying the roles of the international community in the quests for human rights in this part of Africa, this book also speaks to the United Nations, Britain, USA, the Arab World, Israel, and all countries with stakes in this global family, on the need for exemplary statesmanship. It deals with the realities of an impossible continued-*One Nigeria*, the urgent need to integrate the republic of Biafra into the UN membership of nations as a nation which is intertwined in many ways with the rest of the world in the pursuit of justice, human rights, and happiness. This book serves, in many ways, as a collection and a picture of the continued enslavement of the Blackman as he desperately and rightly seeks for justice, equity and his human rights. Over all, it deals with the realities of the impossibility of peace without justice – anywhere in the world. As you read through the pages of this book, these works of genuine and true passion will, undoubtedly, stir a passionate reaction. For those who seek the truth, they will experience a total relief for assurances. To those who have erred but want the right way back home, they will find, within this inspired work, a willing hand to guide them home. And to those whose selfishness has given birth to an in-dwelling spirit of callousness and hell-bound arrogance, they will meet with the results of their rebellion against the spirit of truth. So, no matter from which angle you may want to approach this book of truth which contains in it our history, present goings-on, and the consequences, there is indeed something in it for you…and for everyone. The history of the genocide in Biafra can be found everywhere, however, with this book, I am not only refreshing the readers memories in a carefully pictured analysis but stating what must be, what will happen and what is eternally inevitable to the obviously fizzling Nigerian State, and the emergence of a sustained Sovereign and democratic State of Biafra, alongside other nations. I also, through this book, address nations whose love for money (which is the root of all evil) constantly fuel the chaos in the world which they know absolutely nothing of its reality. Not only will you surrender to this truth, you will see them come alive in your days. It’s my hope and prayer that, after a careful read of this masterpiece, you would agree with me that, not only does Nigeria portend several dangers to its unwilling citizens and beyond, the outright and only remedy would be a speedy and peaceful dissolution of its false amalgamation. This is the first step towards remedying Africa. Issue of why Nigeria became, Britain and its relationship with Nigeria’s immeasurable woes, the obvious failures and consequent death of Nigeria, the destiny of Biafra, Africa, America, World Powers, Nuclear race, the Arab World and Jerusalem are discussed extensively and summarized in the clearest understandable manners. The slight repetitions and images you may come across are intended to give readers, especially those with little or no knowledge on the Nigeria-Biafra conflict, a grounded root to a clearer picture of the truths and the inevitable. I have not come here to make an academic statement; I came with a message to a world of callous competition: Lose your hold or be bound! As you read, prepare your mind, at the end of it, to take a stand which will affect this generation and beyond; a stand which will unmistakably place your name on the good side of the history of world keepers. God bless you all. To The False Critic: If it were dependent on you, Paradise would be gained solely by enslaving for and paying obeisance to you; how much less of justice can man hope to get on earth with your ilk! But, thank God! Victory is not because you said so. Let the truth reign, or be drowned in your falsehood. http://247nigerianewsupdate.com/the-living-biafra%C2%9D-the-settled-answer-to-the-falsehood-called-nigeria/ |

i wonder what has come over this devil called el rufai. @ Ali Haruna: God bless you my brother! Dear Elrufai truly lack the qualities of a true leader. Irrespective of the fact that GEJ is goofing up seriously, i strongly believe you would have done no better. When you were running our state capital, what were your achievements to the common man?You have no idea how many people dont wish you well. And i sincerely pray (1) you read this message and (2) your sins (which include rendering a lot of families homeless and trying to start an igbo christian vs hausa muslim war) do not fall on your kids. Elrufai also posted a similar claim on his facebook profile claiming that Boko Haram is a Southern Christian plot to destroy the Hausa Fulani and Islam. Apparently, controversial former minister of the FCT has a beef with the Igbo people of the Southeast. After writing a back-page piece in Thisday which was full of false information on Anambra state. Amazingly, El Rufai reportedly said Anambra was the poorest state in the country, that it was educationally backward, lacked priorities and suffered from poor infrastructural development. This prompted the governor of the state to respond, also on the back page of Thisday, proving Elrufai wrong. But just yesterday, Elrufai tweeted a false claim against an Igbo man. In the tweet, it was claimed that an Igbo man had been caught trying to bomb Minna Central Mosque. (see tweet below).

This is interesting. The inclination of the Biafra- Nigeria war was as clear as the handwriting on the wall well before the war broke out but igbo leaders of then took such serious matters for granted as they are still doing today. Who today will blame Goodluck Jonathan for not trying to contain Boko Haram in all honesty. If only General Yakubu Gowon made similar efforts which today President Jonathan is making, the massacre of the igbos and eventually the Biafran war would not have happened. The writer of this peace seemingly held past Igbo leaders accountable of the failure of the survival of the Biafran dream. Yes, this is true to some extent because the igbos by then were well aware of their untenable position in Nigeria but they took it for granted expecting things would subside forgetting that the that the deep rooted dycothomy between the igbos and northerners was and still is a fault line running deeper than the fault line of Great Victoria Lake of East Africa. Change is constant. Who in his/her widest imagination believed that former Yugoslavia would disintegrate into several countries of today or that former USSR wound break into pieces to give bith to countries like Georgia, Kazaskthan to mention a few. Could anybody would have imagined that the great Ethiopia country once having a seaport would be landlocked by a tiny Eritrea. Although, some Igbos would claim that the Biafra/Nigeria war was sudden. This claim is hard to defend even on academic parlance if the Igbos do not sentimentalise the debate. Yes, the igbo leaders did not prepare as they should for such war campaign but the fact remained they took things for granted. Are the present generation any better today should such repeat itself? As events are unfolding today in Nigeria and as noboby can predict what will become of Nigeria, are the igbos still going to be taken unawares? If war is forced upon Nigeria today with eventual breakup, are the Igbos ready to meet the challenges such incidence will bring along? Some igbos reading this write up may say God forebids forgetting that change is one thing anybody cannot stop from happening. Even the old United Kingdom is on the brink of breakup and their rulers know it and they are discussing and planning about it but talking about Nigeria breaking up is treasonable when even the handwriting is already on the wall. Yes, history repeats itself. The igbos talking about Nigeria's eventual breakup in the short or long term is the beginning of planning for its survival. What is wrong about the igbos organising an academic conference about it? The writer Osita Ebiem is the few igbos with foresight to see beyond failure. Do igbos have leaders capable of taking the bull by the horn without fear of persecution or incasration by the government? Yes they have but such prospective leaders lack the substance i.e the support that goes with it. There is nothing wrong for the Igbos preparing a national structure in waiting should the time comes. Although, Nigerian government would always try to contain the eventual breakup of Nigeria but it cannot stop what is inevitable - breakup of Nigeria. The Boko Haram as an ideology would be sustained by those behind it. Besides that, Boko Haram has invested heavily on this ideology that to abandon it as an ideology would be a big loss by its investors. It will be around for a long time to come. Worst of it all, Boko Haram is wearing the country down and if they pepatrators sustain their attacks, the Nigerian government would run into a cul de sac. All in all, time will tell and as for the igbos, war can be imposed ready or not. Igbos should think ahead and get prepared for eventualities. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. |
*Biafra Failed Because The War Was Not Fought Before It Began By Osita Ebiem At this stage in their collective history it will be very naïve of any Igbo politician of repute, business investor or elite of any shade not to have thought seriously about the anticipated and inevitable breakup of the Nigerian union. The mark of the good politician or leader in any field is being foresighted. The Igbo leader is not only the one that thinks and acts in the interest of the collective, they are able to predict future events and believe in their predictions enough by making concrete efforts to prepare and position themselves, the institution and people they represent to benefit or at the least, not lose as much as they would have when the event eventually occurs. It is always better to be prepared and the event never happens than to be caught unprepared or even under-prepared. The Igbo leader is the one who is able to think of those things that may never happen like they would. Every Igbo leader or any Igbo at all alive today is supposed to have simulated every aspect of what will happen to them and their people after the disintegration of Nigeria. True Igbo leadership is all about responsibility to the people you lead; thinking and planning ahead for them and actually conducting your activities like you mean what you say or think. Let’s look at the above position in the light of the Biafra War. In the history books and the accounts of witnesses it is well known that the Nigerian state was the aggressor in the war. Nigeria with the help of Great Britain, USSR and the Arab nations combined forces and fought dirty to defeat Biafra in 1970. With that said it is true that Biafra lost the War because of the formidable forces that allied themselves against the new nation. Yet, as it is with other complex things in life, if we looked close enough we will see other reasons why Biafrans failed in their justified first attempt at Self Determination and independence. As we go on we will find an uncomfortable lapse on the side of Igbo leaders. We will see that the War was lost not as a result of lack of courage or necessarily because of the seemingly insurmountable odds against Biafra. Biafrans had all the courage they needed because someone said that Biafrans did not just fight hard and well as heroes, he said that heroes fight like Biafrans. Biafrans so demonstrated courage and bravery against odds that today people equate Biafra with, apart from Freedom and Human Dignity; Heroism!Over the years Biafra has become synonymous with those who do heroic things. Today it is believed that whoever that is a Biafran is a hero and does things that befit heroes. But fighting and defending oneself and others as heroes do might sound impressive to some, especially when a vulnerable people come under the threat of total extermination. But when we consider it by a different standard we may be surprised to see that there may not be much in it to be proud of after all. Life force is among the most powerful forces in existence. In summer time, I have seen green grasses grow almost lush in cracks in the middle of busy roads where ten thousand vehicles run on every day. That is an excellent example of the power of the will to survive that is inherent in living things. For grass existence, to endure such harsh and impossible conditions and still survive and maybe thrive is commendable. But here we are talking about human beings with higher intellects than mere grasses. Nature endowed humans with the power of the intellect that enables them to not just exist but determine their existence. Humans have the capacity to, through the power of their mind, determine the quality of their existence here on Earth. This explains the saying; to whom much is given, much is expected. For Igbo/Biafrans, it is not enough to fight and defend their right to life; they are expected to do more than that. When in the 1980s Nigerian Muslims recommenced the Islamic jihad on the Igbo in Kano and other cities in the North of Nigeria under the name Maitatsine; a variant of today’s Boko Haram, the Igbo after overcoming the initial shock of surprise attack, rose up and defended themselves. The Nigerian government just like today could not defend them. There were Igbo businessmen that had shops in the city that sold guns. They took a quick decision and emptied their stores by distributing the guns to fellow Igbo in Sabon Gari, Kano. Their attackers backed down when their Islamic beheading knives and daggers were matched with Igbo guns and ammunition. We can go on and list other such heroic moments when the Igbo came together and fought as one against a common enemy. Yet, as commendable as the action of self-defense is, for the Igbo to not just survive but become secure and prosperous, they must take it a step further from that basic level. They must shift their attention from fighting survival battles, and learn to come together and fight future battles before they begin. All progressive societies around the world at one point in their history confronted this truth and recognized its significance to their success. There is no nation or a group of people that has made any significant progress by remaining at the level of the reactionary. The Igbo nation of today must come to the realization that if she must live successfully in this world, then she must learn to take the initiative in all areas of human endeavors. Igbo people must become offensive and take the fight to the enemy territory rather than lead a carefree existence and only fight back when attacked. The Igbo of this generation must position their nation to begin to take advantage of the works of past generations. Again that is the hallmark of all progressive societies; the ability to stand on the shoulders of past generations rather than let each new generation start from the scratch. It is only lower animals and plants that start afresh at every new season. Even then they have the advantage of their natural instinct and self-adjusting genetic coding capability to compensate for what they lost in their lack of the ability to process complex information and stimuli and make adjustments ahead of events. From available evidences Igbo leaders, politicians and intellectuals failed to fight the Biafra War ten, twenty years before it began. Such lapses on the side of the people in responsible positions in Igbo/Biafra Land are unacceptable and must never happen again. Contrary to Igbo people’s attitude about the country, the others in Nigeria never hid their negative feelings and intentions against the Igbo long before the 1966 Igbo pogrom/genocide that led up to the 1967 to 1970 war. For any careful observer it was not difficult to see how the Hausa, Fulani, Yoruba and others fought their own side of the war long before it began. They won the War not necessarily because of the combined forces of Britain, Soviet Union, Egypt and the Arab League of Nations. (Readers who care to pursue this point further are encouraged to listen to and read what the Ahmadu Bellos and others of Nigeria had to say about Igbo people ten, twenty years before the War). The present generation of Igbo people cannot afford to allow the repeat of that pre-War mistake. The leaders must learn to think and plan ahead while calling the bluff of the frowning faces of demagogues who flaunt before them the catch phrases; “you want to break up the country,” “you want to be rebels”. Igbo leaders, politicians and intellectuals must stop falling victims of the trap of wanting to please these Nigerian browbeaters by recoiling and apologizing for their very existence. They must stop being content with just living for the moment and “safe” so that no one accuses them of “trying to break up the country”. Nigeria should have broken up long before now, anyway. The union should never have been in the first place. Anyone for that matter, but especially Igbo leaders in any capacity should be concerned about what verdict the next generation would pass on what they did or failed to do. If the present Igbo political leadership and intellectuals failed to see ten, twenty years before now the eventual breakup of Nigeria and emergence of an independent and sovereign Igbo or Biafra nation then something is wrong. By today they ought to have completed all preparations needed to run a successful Igbo/Biafra nation state, separate from Nigeria. It is gross negligence and irresponsibility on the side of Igbo political, business and intellectual leaders of today to be so concerned about what their neighbors, “the frowning demagogues” will say or just being “conscious” of the feelings of the others who are working only for their own people’s benefits, and fail to work for the improvement of the fortunes of the present and future of Igbo people. We are not stretching the truth when we say that the current Islamic Boko Haram scourge against Igbo/Biafrans would never have happened if Igbo intellectuals and leaders had prepared for it ten to twenty years before it began. If this tide of death and destruction that is continuously unleashed on the Igbo in Nigeria must be turned away then Igbo leaders and intellectuals must resolve to reverse this collective suicidal trend of only reacting after the heads of their people have been Islamic-ally cut off. At this point there may still be those who are yet to be convinced and are still bent on finding “solutions” by finding ways through which Igbo people will continue to coexist with the rest of Nigerians in the same country; that is not a problem. It is the duty of the collective Igbo/Biafran leaders and thinkers to patiently work harder still to persuade such persons. No single Igbo or Biafran will be left behind. Igbo opinion leaders, politicians, intellectuals and business people must find a way to patiently educate and persuade every Igbo/Biafra skeptic on why their only option is living independently away from Nigeria. Let them show the people why one-Nigeria is not and can never be an option for Igbo people. Igbo leaders and intellectuals must find the way to convince the residual doubters that the fault or impossibility of a one-Nigerian state is too fundamental and practically irreconcilable. The fault line lies at the center of the unbridgeable differences in the way of life of the various peoples that make up one-Nigeria. The cultural/religious diversities existing amongst the various ethnic peoples that comprise the Nigerian union are irreconcilable. It is the duty of Igbo leaders to convince the unbelievers among their people that culture and a people’s way of doing things is the very essence of the people’s being and cannot be compromised. Let them know that it is the reason why people everywhere fight to death to preserve the way they do things as distinct from those of others. It is the duty of Igbo leaders to convince their people on the fact that no matter the rhetoric on the contrary, no one will win the war for one-Nigeria. It is an ideological warfare, a cultural/religious browbeating. And to win is to begin by positioning the Igbo nation and showing the people how to fight the next Biafra and all other Igbo/Biafra wars before they begin.

in the name of fairness and true unity sakes i will want the presidency to move to the south east after jonathan.the north must wait.if at all they have any good leader, such leaders are needed at their state level first because they will impact more on their people than at the presidential level.the likes of ribadu, sanusi,el rufai should go and govern their states, lift their people out of the chains of illiteracy, diseases and idleness.then they can come for presidency. As for the south east obviously rochas okorocha(imo state governor) stands out with a ribadu as his vice,if am to chose my candidates.giving the presidency to the igbo/SE will go along way in healing the wounds of the civil war and make them truly feel they have been accepted back into Nigeria and they will have no reason to agitate for biafra again.IMO,What Nigeria needs most now is unity, patriotism and tolerance.with that will will be able to speak with one voice as a people and then we will be able to fight corruption, tribalism and injustice. That is my take |
Politic is truly an interesting and dirty game.PDP is truly the sponsors of bokoharam.while reading through,i was not much in support of how azazi way sacked because i thought jonathan was playing with the lives of Nigerians with 2015. azazi obviously knows too much and the northern powers don't want him and his strategy might spell doom for PDP as a party if GEJ gave him the go ahead to arrest some top politician but at the same time i think this silent approach GEJ use is the best cos with this new NSA the ball is in their court now, GEJ will not be blame for not doing enough to stop bokoharam which is the making of the north itself. |
President Goodluck Jonathan had once again showed that hecan bite and this time around the victim was Andrew Azazi, his erstwhileNational Security Adviser. President Jonathan understands Southerners so wellthat when he slowly delivers a killer punch, his victim will know that ‘Warsaw saw war’. However, he is yet to master the secret of striking at Northerners. The first Southern Nigerian casualty of Jonathan biting exercise was BolaTinubu, the National leader of ACN. The Code of Conduct Bureau dragged Tinubu to court formaintaining foreign account barely three months after both of them were winingand dining in Lagos and negotiating how to prevent Buhari and Ribadu from making any impact in the 2011 presidential election. The next casualty was opposition parties like APGA, LabourParty and others who sold their presidential ambitions to the PDP with the hope of being incorporated into his government. By the time he threw them out of thewindow, those party chieftains dreaming of being appointed cabinet ministers were leftin the cold waiting for the next election. His next bite victim was the subsidy protesters especiallyfrom the Lagos axis. When he sent fierce looking soldiers to the streetsof Lagos to harass protesters and teargas some elder statesmen, Soyinka, Bakare, Falana, Agbakoba and other leaders of the popular Occupy Nigeria protest knewthat there is fire on the mountain. Still basking in the euphoria of his defeat of these NADECO chieftains fabled to have pressurized Head of State Abacha to his graveyard, President Jonathan turned his full attention on Sylva and finished the suffocation project he earlier initiated. This Governor of his home state of Bayelsa had earlier threatened to snuff life out of his lame duck presidential kinsman and for that his second term governorship ambition was snuffed off despite all the pastors, bishops and seers hired to send fire in the direction of rampaging Jonathan. This time around it was the turn of Azazi to receive thebite from Jonathan. He was sacked without the courtesy of priorinformation. Jonathan was obviously fed up with Azazi. Azazi’s fate was sealedduring the long holiday that preceded the May 29 Democracy day celebrations. Thepublic protests that greeted the Mauling of Unilag delayed the announcement ofAzazi’s sack. The delay enabled Azazi to get enough intelligenceinformation that Gusau is being drafted to replace him and a worried Azazi madeefforts to save his position. He spoke with both the President and some leadersof South South over the issue and was given the impression that the matter has been suspended. Azazi’s problem with Jonathan had to do with the tactics ofarresting the security situation. Azazi believes that the sponsors of BokoHaram should be fished out and prosecuted for terrorism while Jonathan believesthat the names involved are too weighty that a political backlash could occurwhich is capable of affecting permutations for 2015.There is a reasoning that some of those involved may be handy in the next election. The names that frequently pop up in every security reports as sponsors of BokoHaram included a few from opposition party and majority from the ruling party. Azazi had sought permission to quiz people like Buhari, Babangida, Ciroma, some serving and retiredsenators, ministers and governors who have links with Boko Haram but most ofthese people were those who helped Jonathan one way or the other in the past. Jonathanwants his NSA to tackle the footsoldiers of Boko Haram and leave the sponsorsalone. This position of President Jonathan was a source of frustration for Azaziand he used the occasion of the South South summit in Asaba to vent his frustration. The security chiefs were finding it difficult cutting off the terrorists because the more they are arrested or killed, the more others join the group, and the sect has fragmented in such a manner that they have numerous recruitment, training and logistics centre and more centres are being opened up daily. Though the insurgents looks disorganised, it is obvious that the there are high level coordination of their operations even in their fragmented cells. Malam Shekau, leader of the terrorists have escaped arrest on four occasions in matters of minutes in a manner that evokes suspicion even when his territory was cordoned off by security agents. While some blamed Azazi for poor analysis of real time operations, others still believe that high level sabotage leaked information to the sect leader. However, President Jonathan believes that with all the billions budgeted for defence, the security agents have enough to root out members of Boko Haram without touching any elite linked to them. There is fear within PDP that if their culpable members were arrested, they could point embarrassing accusing fingers the manner Senator Ali Ndume recently did in his affidavit before the Federal High Court in Abuja told the court that ” the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Namadi Sambo is also aware that he was in contact with Jammatul Sunna -Walid Jihad-Boko Haram” This will attract public opprobrium to the party. President Jonathan had always maintained a chummy relationship with Aliyu Gusau despite the fact that Gusau was one of his opponents in the PDP presidential elections. The president believes that Gusau had a sort of magic wand which broke the security strangehold of the cabal that wanted to deny him the full exercise of his constitutional duties when late president Yaradua was sick. Gusau, a three time NSA was one of the few political appointees who wanted to save the career of late Senate President, Chuba Okadigbo when Obasanjo received reports that the former wanted to contest for presidency in 2003, and thus marked Okadigbo out for victimization. This attempt to help Okadigbo earned Gusau a reprimand from his boss. The appointment of Sambo Dasuki was a fast dribble on those who were waiting to crucify President Jonathan in the event of reappointment of Gusau. In addition to Dasuki being an in-law to Gusau, it was the later whoinfluenced his rehabilitation with the position of Chairman of Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company in 2002. Gusau does not defer to Babangida, in fact he is never known for pretentions and has always engaged in frank discussions with all the military leaders he served in the past including Obasanjo. His relationship withthem was more of mutual respect than servitude. Therefore, if Dasuki were toswitch loyalty to Babangida, whom heserved as ADC, it would not diminish Gusau’s influence over his life. The ouster of Azazi and replacement with Dasuki, was a clashof tactics on how best to curtail the insurgency. The changes would have been more sweeping but the political think tanks wanted to gauge the opinion of stakeholders before any further action. The president had alreadycharged the new NSA to reign in his people who are trying to destabilizehis government or a break up will ensue. Intelligence strategiescould differ but the bottom line is result. Dasuki, being a Sokoto prince is expected to use his knowledge of fellow northerners and muslims to analyse security reports and bring in strategies capable of checkmating the terrorists. Those who still believe in Nigeria are hoping that the new helmsman comes up with fresh ideas to prevent another civil war. This is a narrow escape for Boko Haram sponsors because it is most likely they will never be named nor prosecuted but it may not be so for the footsoldiers because someone who knows them is coming for their head and the north will not blame Jonathan again for not doing enough to protect their region. |
by John O. Kalu The other time I wrote a speculative piece on the strategic importance of America designating Boko Haram and/or its members and sponsors as terrorists, a member of a closed group I belong to extracted and published it verbatim at Hope For Nigeria page. That was without regards to my caveat and/or plea that circulation of the post be restricted to Igboville. Membership rules also made it clear that materials cannot be lifted and published without the approval of the administrator and/or the author. How much “hope for Nigeria” will such behavior inspire when the convener of the group will not respect simple privacy rules in a closed group? . Be that as it may, am not deterred in publishing more notes knowing that it is only in facebook that everyone is good and want to move Nigeria forward, even if fraudulently. The truth is that I don’t say in private what I can’t own in public. But there are rules governing closed groups. Let us exercise WISDOM in our HEART. Facebook has taught me a lot about the Nigerian character and why this country is backward. As expected, everyone has a view on most issues. But most time the underlying consideration behind those views are not immediately apparent to the unschooled eyes. Given that I have associated with all divides in facebook-pro northern facebookers aka friends of the North, pro-Jonathan facebookers aka fresh air and pro-ethnic group facebookers, I can easily claim to be an authority on the mind set of each group. I have friends and have participated in all these groups at one time or the other. The group that interests me today are those I call “friends of the North”. They are mostly not from the North and cut across tribal divides. Umuigbo are well represented. To belong to this group, you must see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil of the North or her children. It doesn’t matter what the issue is, once a northerner is involved, they will jump first in defense. When Farouk Lawan bribery scam broke, they were in front defending him. When it emerged that Farouk is farouked, they changed the argument to conspiracy to cover up subsidy probe. Recently I pointed out to one of them that all the companies involved in the subsidy scandal are either owned directly by northerners or indirectly through their proxy. His argument quickly changed to a conspiracy between Jonathan and Farouk to humiliate the North. Abeg follow me laugh out loud, it is still free! Recently, they’ve been on about how some are spreading hatred against the North. Their targets are usually fellow Christians or Igbos who are complaining about the continuing killings and bombings orchestrated by Northern elements. At some point I started wondering if it is really true that I personally hate the north. It only took my realization that I have no known enemy for me to convince myself that hatred for individuals, or tribes for that matter, is not part of my DNA. I’ve never killed anybody, North, South or Centre. I’ve voted and campaigned for Northern candidates more than I’ve done for southern or Igbo candidates. So, am the wrong person to attribute hatred of the North to. If for anything, I hate killers and murderers. Only those who want to play God kill others. The stock in trade of these my beloved brethren is to dream up conspiracy theories. They will regal you with how the government of Jonathan is the one bombing the North using Igbos and Christians. Even a former Minister of this country believes that thrash and is happily propagating it on facebook and twitter. With that quality of a man in leadership position in Nigeria, do we need to look far to understand why this country never made progress since 1960? This morning, I found a piece posted by a core Northerner on the conspiracy theorists. He obviously targeted his more zealous brethren and their Igbo cheerleaders. Read for yourself: “I totally disagree with the conspiracy theorist that believes government at the centre is behind BOKO HARAM.(if you want to hang a dog give it a bad name)BH has been existing long before this government came in to power, were I fault those in power is there inability to manage the situation right from the day this movement became violent.the are so many questions to be asked, but who will provide the answer?to ponder over few of them.why have the northern governors milk the region dry and no one is talking, why are they not tackling poverty, illiteracy, hunger, unemployment.desease, polio, youth restiveness and so many more.and of cos why is Ali sheriff still walking freely.are the governors sharing their loot with the northern elders, traditional rulers, and politicians? At the expense of all and sundry.we must stop beating around the bush, this movement exit and they have nothing to do with government sponsorship, they are smart and violent, they are always ahead of our security agencies, that lack modern training and epuipments. Nobody is spared from this onslaught,Muslim, Christian or the traditionalist, the earlier we as Nigerians understand this the better.we all have one common enemy.” -Mohammed Ibrahim Saleh. Ordinarily, if I had posted the above comments, the “friends of the north” would have accused me of “spreading hatred against the North” or at best being Jonathan’s apologist. (Not too bad given that I’ve previously “apologized” for IBB, Atiku and Yaradua). But I wonder if any of them will accuse Mohammed Saleh of hating the north. Moreover, when we had serious security challenge in Abia state, all of us honestly condemned the President and Governor for not doing enough. We also condemned our people who were involved in that malfeasance. There were no conspiracy theories. Could it be that we were enemies of Ndigbo and stoking hatred against Ndigbo? Sorom chia! Why will anyone want to be an unpaid defender of everything North? The answer is easy. Out of 51 years of Nigeria’s existence, the North has ruled for 38 years and installed the remaining rulers who were their proxy. It therefore goes that the North has more capacity to dispense favors than any other bloc in Nigeria. While the Bible was clear that we should “fear not” for some of our brethren it translates to “fear north if you want favors”. Given the historical culture of servitude for favor prevalent within the northern establishment, the easiest route for favor seekers will be to stoop (bow) to conquer. In the process, Nigeria has been robbed of quality leaders and advisers. Boot lickers held sway. Those who dared to voice an opinion are promptly demonized and booted out. The survivors are whipped into line and given enough “bread” to satisfy them and then recycled over and over. “Friendship” with the North is good o!! It is this culture of “friend of the north” for favor that have dragged the North down. Non of the northern “friends” advised the extant rulers to develop the north educationally. Even with all the great brains available in the north, they are still at least 30 years behind the south educationally. It has taken a southerner to establish the first Almajirin schools for northern children. Even then, a group that feel that western education is evil are busy bombing the few existing schools and keeping the children away from school. The future is predictable as we now have an army of bomb carriers and rioters that can be used to unleash mayhem tomorrow. And the “friends of the north” are still willing to defend even Boko Haram and make sophisticated arguments on how the government of the day is responsible for the upsurge in terrorism. In their mind, Boko Haram was formed in 2010 when Jonathan became President. In their mind, the North was always peaceful and practiced a perfect “religion of peace”. Non of them will remember Gideon Akaluka, Sharia riots, Maitatsine riots, Danish cartoon riots, Miss world peagent killings and many more. Even the post election killings can be excused because elections were rigged by youth corpers and Igbos. Non of them will read Buhari’s recent assertion on why his party lost the election. Neither will it matter to them that this is the 3rd time Buhari is losing (including to his kinsman Yaradua) and yet nobody was killed, until he lost to a southern christian from a minority tribe that should be serving the North. Who are the real friends of the North? They are those who are willing to tell the north the simple truth that they are mostly responsible for the sorry state of Nigeria, having produced all but 2 of the past rulers of Nigeria. If corruption is an institution in Nigeria, the right people to blame are those who have managed Nigeria since independence. If there is no steady power supply, no security infrastructure and educational backwardness in the North, past leaders of Nigeria who are mostly from the North should answer some questions. There is just no way of excusing past northern leaders from the activities of Boko Haram. For one, it is a known fact that terrorists do not operate successfully from areas where they lack local support. Secondly, terror infrastructure is developed over time, just like anti-terror systems. Boko didn’t start overnight. That a man is ready to blow up himself for N7k says a lot about the extent of poverty and hopelessness in that part of Nigeria. Someone should be held responsible for that state of desperation and not excused or defended. It is almost satanic to use our intellectual endowments to defend those who have turned Nigerians into suicide bombers. At best, as real friends of the North, we should offer them sound advice to invest in education and forget Presidency for as long as necessary. Their occupancy of that institution has been a curse to them and Nigeria. Let us help by calling a spade a spade. If the North is up and running well, the rest of Nigeria will be the better for it, as long as we remain glued together by the wickedness of Lord Lugard. But if BH forces us apart through their campaign of “araba”, the north will still have to deal with the evils of their leaders past and present. Islamic republic of Northern Nigeria will not guarantee an end to terrorism but will surely end the near total dominance of the oil business by Nigerians of Northern origin. Without oil, they will have to steal groundnut money and Boko will surely get them. May be then their friends will abandon them and look for another group to defend to death. Friends indeed! If the North needs to hear the truth, here is it. Igbos have never led any Nigerian government, save for General Aguiyi Ironsi’s ill fated six months. They were also massacred, bombed out and deprived by the North led Nigeria. In contrast, the North have led Nigerian Federal Government for 38 years of Nigeria’s 50, as at October 2010. They have successfully installed the other non Northern President in the Person of Gen Olusegun Obasanjo. The North is also controlling the economy of Nigeria with many of her sons owning oil blocks and rights. Others are effectively in charge of critical agencies involved in Nigerian oil and gas business including the longest serving oil minister of Nigeria. Even when non Northerners are appointed oil ministers, their positions are largely symbolic as the real control remains with the Northern leaders. Ordinarily, this near monopoly of power and Nigerian economic structure should have translated to better life for Northern children. Unfortunately, it is not so. As at today, all parameters of measuring human development favours the “defeated and marginalized” Igbos against the North. Who among the friends of the North will dare tell them this truth and honestly recommend solutions to at least put them on course for redemption? The average northerner is by far worse off compared to his Igbo or Yoruba contemporary. Obviously, prolonged hanging around power has not helped the real North. It has only purchased them high priced sycophants called “friends of the North”. As long as the culture of servitude is maintained in the North, the average northerner will still not match his brothers. Not more than 2,000 northerners are controlling the wealth of Nigeria and enslaving the people of the North. They will never allow the children of the poor to get education that will enable them challenge the wickedness of the northern ruling and leadership class. Every day, this population of northerners appear before the successful thieves with plates for alms. They are given food in exchange for shouts of “ranka dede”. The more brilliant ones among them are allowed to have non functional islamic education that will further enslave their mind and make them permanently available for use as tools in the hands of the rulers. Whenever the interest of the rulers are threatened, they are deployed to cause riots and even accept to kill themselves for N7k. Imagine dying for N7k that the average not-too-educated Igbo trader will spend at a beer joint within 2 hours and still have more to take care of his family? Unfortunately, the killing and suicide mobs of the North do not know that they are as much a victim of the northern leader as the Christian/Igbo they have been sent to kill. Even the friends of the north will not tell them this because in reality, the so called friends of the north are the friends of the ruling class in the North and care little about the real northerner. The friend of the North is working very hard to also join the slaves of the ruling northern cabal in the hope of eating from political crumbs. As a friend of the real northern man and woman, I wish to boldly state that what the north needs is education and empowerment of the poor. He must be able to acquire the capacity to ask his leaders “why”. Therein lies the difference with his Igbo brother. The average Igbo man will ask Ekwueme why without blinking. He already knows that the muslims at Ama Awusa in Aba are not his enemies so you cannot convince him to kill them in retaliation. He knows that the real enemy might be hiding in Abuja, Minna, Kaduna, Kano, Maiduguri or Sokoto. If he must retaliate to maintain a balance of terror, it makes sense for him to do so in those places and not kill a fellow victim who is earning a living at Aba. The North must educate her people and build more schools and less mosques. There is no basis for any sensible northerner to demand for Presidency. 38 years of being in power in Nigeria made the North worse than those who never had power. The killer Almajirin might kill his Igbo neighbor in envy of his little progress, but he should be told that his real enemy is the big man who refuses to teach him how to fish but is ever willing to dash him fishes. Another strange part is that when the North wants to talk to other ethnic groups they look for the real leaders. The so called “tribalists”. They understand the power game and know that their so called friends are nothing more than leeches. While Ikemba was with us in the flesh, it is a known fact that whenever the North have anything to say to Igbos they look for him. Of course they don’t summon him to Minna, Sokoto or Kano. They go to Enugu to meet him. They knew he loved his people and didn’t hate the north either. He only wanted the best for Ndigbo and Nigerians. Make no mistakes about this, you cannot hate Igbos and say you love Nigerians. Igbos are Nigerians. Love for Nigeria is NOT mutually exclusive to love for Igbos, Yorubas or Hausas. Rather most people who love their tribes translate that love to the larger Nigeria. That was the case with Zik of Africa, Awo and Bello. They all loved their people and also Nigeria. They developed their areas and by extension Nigeria. It is not possible to love Nigeria while hating your people. It amounts to self deceit and fraud. Your only entitlement to a Nigerian passport is your being from one of the federating units in Nigeria. Even naturalized citizens must choose a federating unit to belong to. Let us befriend the truth at all times. At least you are guaranteed heaven if Boko mistakenly attack and kill a “friend of the North” like you. Unless you have a mark on your forehead saying “am a friend of the North”, when the next bomb explodes you might meet your maker. Those guys don’t ask questions before exploding their crude weapons of mass destructions. Fear Boko, not North. |
i have read this article before,it is as old as nairaland itself.it could have been valid if the OP posted it before ojukwu's death but after ojukwu's death, any malicious article towards the igbos and ojukwu is invalid because ojukwu have been vindicated and the so called backstabbers are the ones clamoring for true federalism or succession.hypocrite!!! |

Following the problem between Chief Victor Umeh and Gov. Peter Obi, Rochas has warned his Commissioner and aides to be careful with victor Umeh, insisting that if he could attend to blackmail the saintly Peter Obi, that there is nothing he would not do to any person. Rochas whom people thought was the beneficiary of Umeh’s fight against Obi, said that what Umeh was doing had shown him as a vicious and born blackmailer, who could even blackmail the Pope if he refused to give him money. Victor Umeh is fighting Obi because he refused that Umeh should impose his candidate, Chief Ifeanyi Ubah as the next Governor. Already, Ifeanyi promised him 500 million Naira if he delivers. Already, he has paid him N250, Million naira for the balance to be paid after delivery. What victor is doing now is part of the long planned strategy to deliver ifeanyi Uba. Read below what was posted on the net earlier this year IFEANYI UBAH SET TO FIGHT GOV. PETER OBI Today, it is no longer a secret that the Anambra Oil magnet, Chief Ifeanyi Ubah is set to replace Gov. Peter Obi as the Governor of Anambra State. He has been telling his friends that he was ready to spend whatever it will take to achieve his ambition for which he had set aside the initial N20, 000,000,000 Billion and he is working seriously towards that. To get the support of the people, he has floated a foundation through which he is supporting the poor, building churches, subsidising kerosene, helping the widow and all manner of philanthropy. Chief Austine Ndigwe, (Uzu Awka and Ozo Gidigbam Gidigbam) his right hand man said that Ubah had already secured the support of Rochas Okorocha, whom he made the Governor Single handedly. He said that the Oil magnet is unhappy that his own Governor is not supporting him, but he said they had a good weapon they would use against him if every effort to get his support failed. Uba has the support of the following, who are also on his monthly pay roll for the project: a. Chief Victor Umeh (APGA National Chairman) N10,000,000 b. Chief Austine Ndigwe, Uzu Awka N10,000,000 c. Mr. Alfred Nwosu N5,000,000 Others he feels that may be in a position to help are also on his pay roll, including some vociferous clergy men of all denominations. NOW THE WAR Uzu Awka said Ubah confided in them how Obi would kneel down and beg him at the appropriate time. How he paid N25, 000,000 (Twenty-Five Million Naira) to the former Lagos State Commissioner for Police, Mr. Marvel Apkoyibo to set Obi up. Do you still remember the $250,000,000 (Two hundred and Fifty Million Dollars) and N250, 000,000 (Two hundred and Fifty Million Naira) his people were apprehended with while transporting it from Awka to Lagos. Uzu Awka said that Obi did not know that the ADC in question, was the one Ubah used to do dirty deeds in Lagos and that it was Ubah who planned for him to be sent to Anambra as Obi’s ADC. “The man think he is clever not knowing that Anyi had already paid his former ADC, N3, 000,000 (three Million Naira) for him and his boys to spy at his every move and he succeeded.” he said. What will Obi Need him for? According to Uzu Awka, Ubah informed him that Akpayibo had already given him the entire video of the $250,000,000 (Two Hundred and Fifty Million Dollars) and N250,000,000 (Two Hundred And Fifty Million Naira) episode containing: a. When the money, local and foreign currencies, were loaded in Awka b. When the money was being of-loaded in Lagos c. Where Governor Obi was kneeling down and begging the Police Commissioner to only disclose the Naira component and allow him keep the $250, 000,000 Dollars, (Two Hundred and Fifty Million Dollars), which he agreed after he was given $10,000,000 (Ten Million Dollars) out of it. Uzu Awka boosted that the tape is with Governor Rochas Okorocha, himself, victor Umeh and Alfred Nwosu. Uzu Awka further revealed that they had got the Accountant General of Anambra State, who confirmed that Gov. Obi has one of the cheque books of Anambra State Government in his possession , which he uses to withdraw the money he changes into dollars. He said they also heard how Obi withdrew the sum of 5, 000, 000 Pounds (Five Million Pounds) he said was for the payment of Ojukwu’s hospital Bill, When the actual bill was just 500,000 Pounds (Five Hundred Thousand Pounds). Ubah, according to Uzu Awka, has documentary evidence of all the properties Obi bought in different parts of the world. He went on to name some: a. Block of flat at Dubai bought for $10,000,000 (Ten Million Dollars) b. Block of flats at Singapore bought at $12, 500,000 (Twelve Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) c. A detached building at Atlanta, Georgia at $6,500,000 (Six Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) d. A flat at Manhattan, New York, $8, 250,000 (Eight Million, Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars) e. A Holiday Resort at Bahamas for which he paid $4, 500, 000 (Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) Uzu Awka said the moment Obi knew that Ubah has a lot on him, he quickly visited him in his Abuja home knelt down and begged him not to expose him. Ubah, Uzu Awka said further, was particularly angry that Obi, in spite of his hands of friendship, is bent on handing over to a known drug courier. Ubah’s Plans Uzu Awka revealed how Ubah had concluded arrangement working with the Presidency and EFCC of how Obi’s immunity would be waived for his arrest if he does not support Ubah. He also talked about the arrest of his wife and Commissioners by the EFCC. Uzu Awka talked of how they got Obi’s Commissioner for Finance, Eze Echesi to support them, because he had been promised that he would be retained and made the coordinating Commissioner for the Economy of Anambra State. Anambra’s version of Nigeria’s Okonjo Iweala. He said he had been quite helpful, giving then photocopies of sensitive documents that they will use ti nail Obi’ As for the SSG, who wants to be the Governor, Uzu Awka said the poor man saw the force Ubah was coming with and had already agree to serve as his Deputy instead. Though the man is old, he said it would be strategic to use him and placate his people who were promised to produce the next Governor. http://nigeriamasterweb.com/blog/index.php/2012/06/04/nigeria-beware-of-victor-umeh-rochas-to-his-commissioners-aides |
