Pls does anyone have an idea of getting an apartment in Houston? It's giving me sleepless nights. Just when I think am sorted something comes up, I have contacted Soul Care, Pampered Stay and Spring of Joy, coupled with others and none seem to have the non-sharing option.

Tried Air bnb and no joy either.

I don't want to go to the other cities I have family so trying really hard to get a place, pls if anyone has an idea of what next to do, kindly drop a hint here and I can always do the followup.

Alright, regarding their professionalism they know their onions (good at what they do), the Dr. Jilla is also very patient, but it's India so pls don't expect anything fancy. I expected way too much, I.e wifi, etc, but it's just basic accommodation & all.

On safety, India is known for high RAPE cases, so I was very very paranoid and didn't go out at all, there is a Driver you can call to help get your meals or call the food companies for delivery. Eating in India was a nightmare, esp for someone who isn't adventurous with food, but you might like it. I survived mainly on Domino Pizza & KFC all through, to think I was meant to be eating healthy!

All in all you will survive it, trust me. It might not be as scary as I have painted it but all I gave written is the worst case scenario.

My doctor insisted on India because its cheaper and they offer better services, but mind you India doesn't do gender selection as its prohibited in the country.

, India is something else, Nigeria is Las Vegas compared to India, the hospital has 2 branches, one in Mumbai and the other is in a smaller city called (Aurangabad) it's a 50min flight time from Mumbai.

I used the smaller city branch because that's what my Doctor here choose, but if I had my way Mumbai would have been better, but the catch is the Dr. (Jilla) lives in the smaller city branch and Accommodation was free, my Doctor felt being closer to the Dr was better too.

The $1,200 is just drugs but it can be wayyyyy lower or higher depending on the patient, while hospital bill was $3,000 totaling $4,200.
It might be lower or higher depending on each patient.

India is known as the medical destination worldwide and I saw that from the procedure I had, with God on our side.

I had to travel to the US 5 days after the procedure so as to be with my Mum for proper care and rest, which made me use hospitals in the US for my first antenatal and sincerely I will choose Indian Doctors over American Doctors hands down as the Indian docs know their onions.

But in all God makes the final decision. I know every mother on this thread shall get their BFP soonest.

As for fluids I try to take a minimum of a liter of (ribena) as I can't stand water. The only fruit I can take is Mango and vegetable is carrot, every other fruits & Veggies I can't stand them.

I havnt cooked since I got pregnant and nothing interests me. Besides my husbands cooking which atimes I don't feel like eating. Not even take away meals from restaurants.

I guess it's a total aversion of food all round.

HELP!

I don't have appetite @ almost 20weeks , I am awake most of the night and start sleeping at 6am or later, which makes me wake up at around 1 - 3pm, then I don't feel like eating till 7pm or even 8pm, . I have NO LOVE AT ALL FOR ANY FOOD or DRINK.

I basically eat once a day, or try to force down something little to make up but I don't miss my (Pregnacare plus).

I hope it's not going to affect my baby? Thou all my scans show baby is perfectly fine.

I don't even look pregnant @ few days shy from 5months, probably because am not feeding well..

Am sorry for the late response.

If my memory doesn't fail me the cost for the ivf was between $2,500 to $3,000 (excluding drugs), which summed up to about $1,200 *but bear in mind drugs differ for everyone*

The name of the Hospital is called (JILLA HOSPITAL) you can google it up for more information.
I was refered by my doctor who is also Indian, and I reside in the middle-east, Dubai to be precise which is just 3hrs plus to India so ticket was very very cheap (about $280 return per person).

The accommodation is inclusive in the hospital bill buttttttttt it's in the hospital compound and it's not fancy, just like a normal hosp room, thou private room with attached toilet & bathroom and electronics.

Lastly feeding in India was a nightmare as I don't like Indian meals at all, unlike my husband so I was basically on fruits and fast food.

You might need to weigh your options well, I opted for it because of my Doctors recommendation and it was quite close.

I might as well share my story now here. But let me answer your question, I had (3 embiees transfered) at day 5 *blastocyst*. My hospital had initially told me they could transfer 5 and see how many will implant, anyway 2 planted out of the 3, but I had and Angel baby @ 7weeks 1day, i wanted multiples so I was very Sad, but God knows best.

Am currently 17weeks and 4days. I have my ivf procedure done in India, due blocked tubes. I tried everything in my whole 5yrs of TTC, this includes tube flushing, gui bao, nothing happened and I left it in Gods hands and went for ivf.

Like I mentioned in the other thread between ET and 12weeks of being pregnant I was taking 800mg of progesterone and 2 injections which consist of (progesterone and estrogen) daily and another 2 which I can't recall their names, totally between 150 - 200 injections so far.. Hasn't been easy but I thank God for strength.

If anyone has any question and I have an answer to i will gladly reply.

I got pregnant through my first ivf procedure and am current 17weeks plus.

I was on 800mg of progesterone also? But mine was 200mg every 6 hours. Then I was placed on the injection too for almost 3 months daily, and 3 weeks of Estrogen injection daily, in all from my calculations it was between 150 - 200 injections. In the space of 3 months, before ET till 12 week after my BFP. I also had one that had to be refrigerated and given at 45degree on the arm, and the last one on the thigh. cant recall the names of the last 2, but the progesterone & estrogen I recollect. It wasn't an easy period.

Please try not to eat PINEAPPLE because I read on the ivf thread that eating Pineapple helps implantation, but it gave me very horrible contractions even before I tested positive and I bled (blood clots) at some point.

One more thing I am still on the progesterone suppositories 200mg only at night and my doctor said I will be on it till my 8th month by Gods grace.

Try to rest very well. May all our prayers be answered.

The issue is I have tried severally to push food down my throat but I end up throwing up, that's the only time I throw up.

No food interests me at all, in the first few weeks I ate well, then I noticed I started detesting the food one by one. Am only left with beans, Eba with Ogbono and yam. Which am scared to eat because I will hate it immediately.
And this meals has to be cooked only by my husband, no one else

I hate all junk foods now, not a single one is appealing.

My doctor suggests I take fruits but I hate all them too asides mango & grapefruit.

Has anyone experienced such and hope till I regain my appetite it doesn't affect the fetus?

Thank you very much tzetzefly, i do not reside in Nig so i couldn't call the number, but i just sat on the system for 2 days and was able to get a date which happens to be the same day with mine for my husband, thou the appointment time was different it didn't matter.

We had the interview today and it was quite good, just 4 questions NOT A SINGLE DOCUMENT was asked for and had about a joke or 2 with the VO and that was it.

Interview went as thus:

US: Orlando (Husband replies) Miami(Wife replies)

VO: How long have you been living in this country
US: Xyrs.

VO: faces Husband (What do you do)

God knows i took everything *takable*, but in all we thank God for his FAVOUR and i would like to thank Nairaland, keep up the GOOD WORK..
