I wonder what Eke has been doing on the bench? Really baffles me.
He's the Mikel Obi regen, him along with Akinsanmiro are the future of our midfield

This is a good team, if the boys can work on their finishing I see a very solid team that will go far in the world cup. There are quite some exciting prospects that will surely transition to the senior NT.

Oh makes sense now, all the best to Akpabio then. The South South haven't had the SP before so there's no question about them getting it this time.

I initially thought Akpabio will be a wrong choice for senate president before until I checked the 2023 presidential election for Akwa Ibom State.

He really tried for APC. If Akpabio and the APC structure in Akwa Ibom can deliver this percentage of vote for him in a state where Udom is almost like the campaign DG to Atiku, then we should give kudos to Akpabio.

He is truly loyal compared to Orji Kalu that couldn’t deliver APC even after he won his senatorial election. The only vote he gave Tinubu still turned out to be an invalid vote with him snapping it.

Atiku — 214,012
Tinubu — 160,620
Obi — 132,683
I don't think any Igbo person cares about Orji Uzor Kalu, if anything we're hoping and praying APC retire his political career for good cause he's absolutely irrelevant to the interests and goodwill of the Igbos.

I personally think Oshiomole would have been a better SP candidate, Akpabio who is a PDP fugitive still has a corruption case on his head which explains why he's fighting tooth and tail to be on the good side of Emi lo kan. But wetin concern me, na South South people go decide wetin dem want.
Politics / How Popular Is Akpabio In The South South by mancoconut: 12:37pm On May 05, 2023
Considering that the South South is a multi-ethnic enclave with dynamic and unique sociocultural and political interests that vary amongst all its ethnic components, does a possible emergence of Akpabio as SP under President Druggies' "govt" represent the general interests of all the various ethnic nationalities in the SS? I hope the Ijaw, Delta-Igbo, Urhobo, Itshekiri, Ikwerre etc will accept him as the sole representative of all their interests as a people? I don't know much about the popularity of Akpabio as a person, but I know for sure he's definitely not the popular/or charismatic figure from the South South region compared to maybe Wike.
Politics / Pregnant Woman, Husband, Son Allegedly Killed By Herdsmen In Osun by mancoconut: 2:26am On May 05, 2023
Pregnant woman, husband, son allegedly killed by herdsmen in Osun

From Lateef Dada, Osogbo

Suspected Fulani herdsmen allegedly killed a pregnant woman, her husband, and their son, along Iragbiji road in Boripe Local Government, Osun State.

Findings showed that the incident happened on Tuesday night when the family was returning home on their motorcycle. A source told Daily Sun that the incident happened around Idi-Ogogo, a village along Osogbo-Iragbiji road.

A relative of the deceased, who identified herself as Saida, alleged that Fulani herdsmen killed the deceased.

She said: “The deceased was attacked by Fulani herdsmen. What we heard was that the herdsmen were angry over the killing of their cow by unknown people.”

She explained that the baby in the pregnant woman’s womb was brought out through a cesarean section at the University of Osun (Uniosun) Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, before they were buried at a Muslim burial ground, along Iragbiji, yesterday.

A resident in the village, who pleaded anonymity, alleged that there were attempts to cover up the story.

He explained that he was returning from where he went to watch a football match when he heard a gunshot before they later got the news of the deceased.

He said: “When we got to the landlords’ meeting on Wednesday, and they said a Fulani child was involved, I asked them to show me where the child was, but nobody could show me till now. I asked them why there was a gunshot and no response was provided till now.”

The spokesperson of the state police command, Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the incident, said the police gathered that the deceased was on a motorcycle when they ran into the cattle and died in the process.

Good showing from the boys, you can easily tell they're genuinely kids. Loved to see the good passing, beautiful transition plays and good awareness from the defence.

Nduka is doing well but he needs to make his subs more timely.

Election is over so real governance has started.
This is apparently a good move by the LASG, but wetin concern "ipob" with the report? cause I fail to see the correlation, except you're implying that Igbos are the ones who own all the structures and properties in Ajao estate?

Lol, Muslim North and SW own Nigeria (FFK though an idiot was actually right when he affirmed it). I don't know about the South South, but it's time for Igbos to forget the colossal joke Nigeria's "national" politics has become and focus on the SE sociopolitical dynamics, the industrialization happening massively in the East lately is very encouraging- thanks to the likes of Innoson, Ibeto, Seplat etc...Igbos have survived and fared just fine without Nigerian politics for decades, we will always be fine.

If "presidency" was the yardstick of achievement aside from shallow ethnic bragging rights, then the North should have been Dubai of Africa today, Nigerians are crude tribal animals with the lowest IQ out there. The only intelligent Nigerians are the ones born or raised abroad.

I believe it's written in the stars for Osimhen to win the scudetto and leave Napoli, cause I don't see this Napoli team replicating their amazing seria A run next season. Even Kvaratskhelia seems like an overrated player to me to be honest.

If this was APCs way of "getting back" at Obi for how their druggie sick gorilla got exposed ans trended on a more global scale, then this clowns have to be the biggest idiots ever grin grin cheesy I mean with all the resources at the disposal of APC, this is the best they could come up with? Obi's name has long been cleared because he has a clean record (unlike the drug baron of Iragbiji),and he's back enjoying his return to Nigeria since Easter when the incident happened.

So why are APC pigs rejoicing like they got one back, it's not Obi who is globally trending for shady drug links all over the world grin cheesy cheesy

If nothing else will motivate Imo people to come out en masse and not only vote out Uzodinma come November but also defend their votes ALL AT COST even if it means death, then I don't know what else will motivate them. APC tyranny in Imo ends this November gubernatorial elections, it will be bloody cause Uzodinma will fight dirty, but one man can't defeat a community. If it means hiring youths with guns to defend every polling units then so be it. The most important thing for Imo people to do is nominate a popular candidate under LP, and ensure no factions emerge, a very strong and popular candidate for LP must be selected from the primaries.

I'm just enjoying my life here in Yankee with my beautiful Russian girl, Nigeria can implode for all I care.
Politics / APC Are Smart by mancoconut: 7:38pm On Apr 02, 2023
They've completely succeeded in DISTRACTING Nigerians from the real issues of our politics- which is how they somehow bullied and scammed their way into power once again with a same faith ticket...trust me a Christian/Christian presidential ticket will NEVER see the light of day anytime soon cause the same proponents of this illegality will resist it. Unfortunately for Obi, he's the only one who has the balls to challenge the status quo and bring to the front burner the fault-lines of this nation. PDP that were supposed to be the opposition party are useless, they are now subtly cowering down while instigating from the sidelines, they've shamelessly allowed a once "structure-less" party that only gained national traction few months take up the mantle of opposition by confronting the gestapo style of government APC have unleashed on this nation. But to what end? the outcome from all of this is that Obi will remain the only Igbo politician so far who was brave enough to contest for the presidency of a nation that has unapologetically formed a power bloc sharing formula between the Muslim North and SW (as FFK arrogantly alluded himself), what this means is that Nigeria will always remain divided with disgruntled people everywhere, hate and bigotry will take precedence, and it will take divine intervention for the wounds to heal.

But in all you've got to give it to APC, they masterfully pulled a wool over the eyes of Nigerians by using Obi as a decoy to hide their atrocities by using distraction tactics to heat up the polity while the real issues plaguing this nation remain unaddressed; in hindsight, I somewhat wish Obi never contested for the office of president.
