Asa, Ogun community where women travel to neighboring Benin Republic for potable water

In Asa, a community in Ogun State, residents are plagued by a perpetual struggle to access potable water.

In an exclusive interview with PUNCH Healthwise, members of the community revealed their dire circumstances, including the absence of boreholes and reliable wells.

This has led to a desperate search for water, with residents forced to fetch contaminated water from nearby streams and rivers or embark on arduous journeys across the border to the Benin Republic in search of clean water.

An investigation by PUNCH Healthwise has uncovered the devastating consequences of this water scarcity, including numerous deaths and health problems suffered by the residents

Politics / The Terrorizers Of The Nigerian Military by mancoconut: 3:55pm On Jun 01
While the brainless and low IQ Nigerian soldiers are making a colossal joke of themselves chasing 15 yr old school children around in Aba, the men who will make sure more Nigerian soldiers become cadavers soon are somewhere laughing and merry-making at the sheer undiluted stupidity of the Nigerian army.

Men mount!

Dsimmer:

Aribo is Nigeria's best central midfielder in the team because he's a complete technical midfielder, albeit Nigeria's main midfield problem is a technical holding midfielder whereas Aribo is only a box to box midfielder.

I mean talk about Aribo midfield performance when he dominated the Brazilian midfield? Or when he dominated the Ecuador midfield? Or when he dominated the Egyptian midfield in the previous afcon cup? I mean these are good-top opposition teams 🤔 yet he had no problem dominating their midfield

He's technical, agile, offensive and solid defensively.

That being said, what Nigeria need the most right now is a technical defensively astute holding midfielder.

Aribo is a good player but football hasn't been kind to him, he seemed to have fallen off after his fantastic stint at Rangers fc...not sure what happened to him when he joined Southampton, but he now has a chance to prove why he was always that player we rated highly. Right now he has fallen down the pecking order as far as the depth of our midfielders...I rate the likes of Olawoyin, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Onyedika ahead of him. Better to stop basking in the past and hope he picks up form again next season.

The Suleiman Sani kid is an exciting player, saw him up close for Akwa utd and was mesmerized at his jaw-dropping skill, intelligence and decision making, kid won't be in the NPFL for long...I'm sorry to say this but Chukwueze won't be missed (quote me anywhere). I've learned not to be swayed by shiny toys simply because a player is in Europe.

Ibrahim Olawoyin is a breath of fresh air, can play as a natural AMF and also from the wing, with Fisayo dele-bashiru and Ibrahim Olawoyin, Iwobi's creative responsibilities and burdens should be more or less over now. Smart replacements by Finidi.

This was late last month. Of course you were all quiet about it due to hypocrisy. Once it happens in the SW, you all begin to ejaculate the on yourselves. 🤡
The difference here is that the Igwes were killed by disgruntled criminal elements from the community and they were caught. Fulani bandits slaughtered two Yorugba monarchs on your own soil and dumped their bodies like eranko in the bush, they even abducted school children the same day in Ekiti...Yorubaas and APC have finished this country with their incompetence, even the FCT has gone to bandits, Lagos is next cry

Fulani herdsmen just unalived two yorubaa monarchs and dumped their bodies in the bush like pigs (talk of ultimate disrespect and desecration of yoruba culture), but yorubaa rascals here are more concerned about doing back and forth vitriol with Igbos when bigger problems are ravaging their homeland...I've always said Nigeria won't last for the next 4 years, the crisis and insecurities are just too much. Yorubaas have destroyed this country completely by forcing an old and sick drug-lord on this fragile nation, the thief is relaxing in France while the nation he was "selected" to govern now burns.

This country will inevitably implode and APC will be solely responsible for that.

Politics / Vehicle Occupants Missing After Kidnappers Struck in Ondo Boundary Town by mancoconut: 8:20am On Jan 20
Published 19th Jan, 2024

By Tola Owoyele

The occupants of two vehicles are believed to have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Iju, a border town in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Eyewitnesses, in an interview with FIJ on Friday, said the incident happened around 4.30 pm on Thursday.

“I was coming back from the introductory part of a cousin’s forthcoming wedding ceremony when I witnessed the incident yesterday,” one of the eyewitnesses, who preferred to be addressed as Bolu, said.

“For the past three years, and because of how dangerous and life-threatening the Iju road can be to commuters, I had not been driving on it.

“That road has witnessed many cases of kidnapping. While returning from that particular event, I chose to take that route with the hope that there would be no incident.

“However, as I got to Iju and was about to drive past a private school known as Ola Oluwa, I suddenly saw three vehicles coming in the opposite direction at full speed, with their headlights on.

“As the vehicles got close to me, their occupants started yelling at me to turn around because kidnappers were currently operating in the direction I was driving towards.

“I then quickly turned around in a flash to avoid being kidnapped as well.

“As we were all driving for safety, I noticed that one of the vehicles belonging to a group of people who had told me to turn around had been shot at several times by the attackers.

“The kidnappers shot at the vehicle while the driver was trying to avoid the ambush they had laid for unsuspecting road users.

“The vehicle had bullet holes all around it. Luckily, no one died from the kidnappers’ shooting.”

TWO EMPTIED VEHICLES LATER FOUND

OSU and gender inequality exist in southeast till date, why did you people like to deceive the society about southeast custom and culture a lot? can't you people man up and be proud of what you practise for once

the rest of the rubbish you wrote is nothing to read, OSU and gender inequality exist in southeast till date, beat it

Even if Osu caste system still existed, I'll gladly take it over the barbaric and primitive ABOBAKU culture in yorubaland where your animalistic people sacrifice human beings and bury them with your dead traditional leaders as spiritual escorts in the next world, I mean that's the lowest of lows a people can get cheesy

85 percent of igbos are bastards, you have the largest baby factories in the world, you are a product of baby factory

1 in every 3 yoorogba child statistically doesn't know his father, and that's because yorubaa women are unapologetic prostitutes and baby mama's, add irresponsible men that sleep around and you have a inherent cultural conundrum of proliferation of bastards.

Baby factory is still humane enough (at least the child gets adopted and taken care of), unlike your culture where the children are abandoned on refuse dumps or used for money rituals grin
Politics / Re: Peter Obi's Political Career At National Level Is Dead by mancoconut: 4:09am On Nov 02, 2023
What a daft take, if anything Peter Obi's political career has just started after securing a strong base for himself, with Ebola's terrible administration so far and the fact that some Northerners now feel estranged from his government, 4 years can't come faster enough for APC to finally implode. PDP isn't serious as a national opposition party so Obi will be smart now to merge with some key loyalists left there especially from the North.

have millions you can't marry Yoruba ladies, Yoruba ladies hardly marry outside not just to igbo but other tribe

and igbo ladies are getting bored of gender inequality in igbo and the OSU rubbish hence the reason they're taking their tent outside East. igbo men are less romantic but responsible, responsibility is not enough to hold ladies emotions, they need the care

many struggling Yoruba men married igbo ladies very well, I got married to my friend who I dated for 10yrs while in school and she's from Abia

apparently there is nothing to hype igbo ladies, same pussy, boobs and ass with other tribes. go and verify a igbo millionaire can't easily get a Yoruba Lady except them go just chop your money

Firstly you yorubas need to drop this daft, stale and retarded perception of Osu and female inequality in Igboland, because various statistics have proven that Igbo women are the most educated in Nigeria as far as literacy goes (and I can gladly provide you the statistical data), so that fact alone proves that Igbo men happily enable and fund their women to get the best possible life and education; quit getting your idiotic facts about Igbo culture from those garbage Asaba produced Nollywood movies that you watch. Osu isn't a norm in Igboland anymore, that conundrum was banned years ago.

Secondly yoruba men need to stop this bizarre obsession and notion that Igbo women prefer to marry them, cause that's a very stupid and comical lie. Statistically Igbo women stay married to 90% of their Igbo men, and when they marry outside Igboland it's mostly to men from the South South axis especially Delta and Rivers states. It's worth stating that Igbo and yoruba inter-tribal marriages are among the lowest but gets overhyped by Igbo-obsessed yoruba losers whose only achievements in life is marrying an Igbo woman or taking one to bed (including our sloppy seconds). Igbo big boys sleep with yoruba girls all over Lagos but hardy take them as wives cause their parents just won't accept such except a handful.

Also the ONLY Igbo girls that even date or marry Yoruba men are the few ones who were born and raised in Lagos and other SW states, parents of those Igbo girls are typically less traditional and more accepting towards their Igbo daughters marrying to other tribes as far as the man is of high social or financial class, the typical Igbo parents in the East won't even hear of such...you will never see a jobless Tunde Monsuru from Ogbomosho ever marrying an Igbo woman let alone even approaching her for a relationship. Igbo women in the East don't fancy yoruba men or even consider them marriage-worthy due to the negative stereotypes of how the men sleep around and don't take care of their wives. The only very few occasions Igbo ladies marry yoruba men are when they do their national service in the SW, or when they were born in Lagos and have adapted more to the yoruba socio-cultural lifestyle. Those type of Igbo girls are only Igbo in name.

Lastly Yoruba women are the LEAST desired in Nigeria, men from other tribes hardly marry your women because they don't last in marriages and are very promiscuous, the most desired women in Nigeria as far as inter-tribal marriages are Igbo women, South South women especially the ones from Delta, Esan and Akwa Ibom areas...and there's a reason for that.

Those people you mentioned are far away in Lagos. While others are in the North. They can never step foot in Igbo Land. Cause Simon Ekpa and his IPOB terrorist will use them for target practice grin grin grin

Aboki Nama, Hausa/Fulani Goat,

You spend the best part of your already miserable terrorist-afflicted life hopping from one Igbo thread to another, what happened to your other monikers? Bandits and Boko haram have literally wiped out entire population of communities across the God-forsaken desert North and now freely operate parallel governments in those areas, you now pay taxes to bandits who freely rape any woman they see around, kill anyone who dares to challenge them and sack any community of theor choice unchallenged.

When will the North ever be useful to itself? every negative statistics in Nigeria with the worst human development indices always has the North dominating the numbers; education na una dey carry last, life expectancy na una dey carry last, multi-dimensional poverty na una dey wear the badge of honor on that one, terrorism, infant mortality rates, diseases etc all have the North distinguishing themselves for all the wrong reasons...why don't your clerics and leaders ever talk about that one? is this the One Nigeria your leaders wasted millions of lives to preserve? is it worth it when you look at how fu*ked up the entire North is today?

I only pray the North gets the Gaza treatment so every trace of Islam is wiped out from the North for good and Nigeria and finally be saved. we really need the Gaza formula in the Muslim North!
