Repeatedly delayed age-verification laws aimed at preventing under-18s from viewing online pornography will come into force in the UK in July, the government has announced.

Digital minister Margot James said in a statement: “The introduction of mandatory age-verification is a world-first, and we’ve taken the time to balance privacy concerns with the need to protect children from inappropriate content.”
“We want the UK to be the safest place in the world to be online, and these new laws will help us achieve this,” James said.
The age-verification measures were first introduced in 2016, as part of the Digital Economy Act 2017, and were initially expected to come into force in April 2018 before they were beset by multiple delay.

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, is willing to engage experts from Microsoft, IBM and Oracle to verify his claim that the servers belonging to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) showed that he defeated President Muhammadu Buhari by 1,615,302 votes.

According to publication made by PUNCH as sighted by MandyNews.com,

The PDP candidate said this in fresh response to the reply of INEC to his petition.

Atiku and the PDP will also be expected to tender INEC’s training manual on elections, a printout of the votes of candidates from smart card readers and a printout of the forensic audit report on INEC’s server as evidence.

The former Vice-President and the PDP claimed to have polled a total of 18,356,732 votes to defeat President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress who he said scored 16,741,430 votes.

However, INEC’s Director, Information and Communications Technology, Mr Chidi Nwafor, in his witness statement on oath attached to the reply, specifically denied the “server results” which the PDP and Atiku were laying claim to.

He said all the results were collated manually and were never transmitted electronically.

Atiku, in his fresh response, said the figures he claimed to have scored were genuine.

The reply read in part, “The servers from which the said figures were derived belong to the 1st respondent (INEC). The figures and votes were transmitted to the 1st respondent’s Presidential result’s server 1 and thereafter aggregated in INEC_PRES_RSLT_SRV2019 whose physical address or unique Mac address as 94-57-A5-DC-64-B9 with Microsoft Product ID 00252-70000-0000-AA535. The descriptions are unique to the 1st respondent’s server.”

As reported by Mandy News, the Nigeria Customs Service Recruitment (NCS) for 2019 portal has been opened for application.

According to the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Col. Hameed Ali (rtd), the Nigeria Customs Service recruitment will be carried out to fill 800 space in the Support Staff for Superintendent Cadre category.

He also noted that the 2,400 space will go for Customs Inspector and Customs Assistant Cadre in the General Duty category.

The Superintendent Cadre are senior ranking officers comprising of Assistant Superintendent of Customs.

2. Inspectorate Cadre

Firefighters are battling a massive blaze at the French capital's iconic Notre Dame Cathedral.

Flames and black smoke were seen shooting from the base of the medieval church's spire on Monday.

The peak of the church is undergoing a 6 million-euro ($6.8 million) renovation project.

French media quoted the Paris fire brigade saying the fire is "potentially linked" to the renovation work.

A Ghanaian woman identified as Elizabeth Amoah, who was born with two vaginas and two wombs has opened up on her condition.

Elizabeth also known as ‘Special Lady’, who spoke on 3FM’s Drive with Giovani Caleb, revealed she had to undergo seven medical surgeries after she was diagnosed of having sexual complications.

The UK-based lady further revealed that the scan detected she had Endometriosis: a sexual disorder in which tissues linings of the uterus grows outside the uterus.“I discovered I had a double womb and a double vagina canal in 2015 after an MRI scan, so I had to undergo about 7 surgeries,” she told Giovani Caleb.

The scan, according to her, also detected she had Endometriosis: a sexual disorder in which tissues linings of the uterus grows outside the uterus.

She explained having a double vagina means “having one vagina outside and the other inside”.

She added that the double womb usually does not come with any symptoms but rather exposes one to health challenges such as irregular periods, fibroids, irregular fainting and in some instances cause infertility.

“I had a premature baby after four years of not conceiving, and going through such health situations wasn’t easy,” she said.

Collation of the Rivers State governorship election resumed in Port Harcourt today, with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collating four more Local Governments.

As at yesterday, results in 15 Local Government had been collated.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Governor Nyesom Wike is comfortably leading with 763,603 votes while his closest rival, Mr. Awara Biokpomabo of the African Action Congress (AAC) polled 161,407 votes.
19 out of 23 LGAs announced. PDP’s Wike is eading with 602,196 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has adjourned to Wednesday morning for further declaration of results of the Governorship election results in Rivers State.

Though there are 23 Local Government Areas in Rivers State INEC said results are available for only 17.
So far results from 15 local government areas have been announced while the commission said those for the remaining two local government areas will be announced on Wednesday.

Meanwhile the Peoples Democratic Party has been declared winner of the Rivers west and Rivers East senatorial district elections as well as the Degema/Bonny Federal constituency elections.

Nyesom Wike of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has snapped eight of 10 local government areas, LGA, results so far presented by collation officers at resumed Rivers state governorship election.

Closest contending APC backed Biokpomabo Awara, candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC took the two others as the Collation team declared a break at 2.05pm for resumption at 2.45.

The results as being rolled out indicate Wike has won Port Harcourt City, Ikwerre (Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi’s LAG), Andoni, Eleme, Opobo/Nkoro, Bonny, Okrika and Omuma LGAs as Awara has taken Oyigbo and Akuku Toru.

The biggest winning margin so far was reflected in the results from Andoni where Wike polled 92, 056 votes against Awara’s 5335.

Relationship expert, Joro Olumofin, has taken to social media to scatter tables as he share a piece of advice to the guys as regards to sex and clean her.
