Charles Nii Armah Mensah Popularly known in Showbiz as Shatta Wale was recently featured on American pop star, Beyoncé’s Album. Granting an interview as to how the who collaboration came about Shatta Wale revealed that he is a big fan of Beyoncé’s music and that he had sampled her work a couple of times. He also disclosed that he was dying to meet Beyoncé as they never actually met physically to record the song. He said; “I have used her beats for some of my songs and I listen to her a lot…. The day I will meet Beyonce Ghana will not sleep for like two days, I will make noise all over the place. We all know that Shatta Wale sometimes goes overboard when it comes to expressing his emotions. It would be recalled that he kissed Stonebwoy at their peace conference a few weeks ago. Well, he has something similar for Jay Z. According to him, when he sees Jay Z, he will kiss him and polish his shoe as a sign of the love and reverence he has for him. American singer, songwriter and actress Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter has explained why she featured Shatta Wale and other African artists on her new album. According to the ‘Halo’ hitmaker, she was looking for the most interesting and talented African artists, hence her decision. talented African artists, hence her decision. Beyonce added that authenticity played a vital role in the selection of African artists and producers to correspond with the theme of the album. “This is a sonic cinema. This is a new experience of storytelling. I wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film. It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn’t one sound. It is influenced by everything from R&B, pop, hip hop and Afro Beat. I wanted to put everyone on their own journey to link the storyline. Each song was written to reflect the film’s storytelling that gives the listener a chance to imagine their own imagery while listening to a new contemporary interpretation. It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me”, Beyonce stated. Oba of Benin, His royal majesty Oba Ewuare II on Wednesday, stormed the Presidential Villa,Abuja, where he pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in the political tussle between the incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki and the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Adams Oshiomhole. The Oba, who doubles as Chairman, Edo State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, said there was need to broker peace between the warring parties in order not to truncate the peace enjoyed in the state. Heavy rains today Monday, 1st July 2019 have caused flooding in several areas across Lekki-Aja, with the problem particularly severe in Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate entrance gate. Floodwaters submerged much of the city, forcing people to wade through knee-high water, as Mandy News reports. The situation is also affecting the Lekki Epe Expressway by Abraham Adesanya roundabout. A 22-year old young man has revealed in an interview how he had sex with several girls in a cemetery. According to the young boy, he was introduced to this practice by his girlfriend at age 17 in secondary school. He explained that he was convinced by a girl who later became his girlfriend to have sex with her in a cemetery. He stated that the girl promised to pay his school fees which he could not afford because he was from a poor home and his mother had passed away. The young man added that he had no choice than to adhere to the lady’s request because he was desperate.
