chidindufrank: for 35 solid years all your past leaders left the road to rot,but GEJ is fixing it today yet, you're not grateful. When would you and your types learn how to appreciate good things so that goodies would continue to flow? GEJ is working and he deserves all the thank you sir we are saying to him.
Okay you did not only sell your vote, I guess you are also on his payroll so if I will ask how much is he paying you?

Where were you when Obasanjo did some renovations on the same road you claimed was untouched for 35 years. FYI federal government have been budgeting gruesome allocations annually for the renovation of the same road including the goon you are celebrating.

He only needed to justify the 3 billion dollar loan he is acquiring from china which is why he is deceiving goons like you on this project.

Moreover, it is yet to begin, why not wait until he finishes the road. Oh I remembered he said the construction is going to take 4 years which means another 4 year tenure he is indirectly requesting for you all to keep licking his assessment.

I wonder how you guys reason

here comes another Jonadatft ass licker. How much did you sell your vote in the last election? You need to stop displaying your bigotry on nairaland.

He is not doing nigerians any favour it is rather his responsibility

And some goons will come out here to keep praising a sinking ship nd a sinking party. Nigerians keep electing leaders who have no idea of what it takes to lead a team.

They keep selling their vote to elect thieves. Jonadatft is far worse.

Hezron Lorraine: exactly.let's cut Buhari out already cause his own Muslim Brotherhood party,a.k.a APC is a goner.
I still don't expect Nigerians going to polls in 2015 based on promises of I will provide good roads, good electricity.its time Nigerians stop being overwhelmed with all these 7 points agenda as they'll always present.
If I were to run for presidency,I would have words like this as campaign:
"Fellow Nigerians.I do not seek your votes because I believe I will provide the good things in life for you,I do not seek your votes because I have solutions to our problems,I do not seek your vote because I believe life would be made easy for every Nigerian citizen.but I seek your votes because you and I can build this nation.I seek your votes because you'll lead me,show me what to do.the government isn't for me but for us all.with you by my side we shall have answers to the failures of this nation. "
My bro, you are on point here, but one question that comes to my mind is who will we have come out and say such when it is the same criminals in the name or Gosfatherism are imposing leaders on us.

They bully the minority party because they have the media and thugs on their pay roll.

A maximum exodus is needed in this country, we cannot keep patching and thinking all is right. We need fresh brains in the affairs of the country, we need people with vision of leadership, we do not need people with degrees, we need people who know what it takes and means to transform lives. Unfortunately all we have at the moment is crook.

Let me ask you one question, how do you solve a compuelter system that have been infected with trojan virus, malware, rootkits even got your task manager disabled, it does not allow antivirus to be installed because it have taken control of the computer?

I guess the only solution is to reformat the computer and reinstall a new antivirus while taking your time to analyze the files again before puting them back in the system.

That is like the solution to the mnace in this country.

Do you know the number of nigerians trooping out of the country everyday just because of the hardship? Our youths have majirly ventured into cyber crime, while our girls have gone into prostitution. Parents now encourage their children to make ends meet for themselves at all means because they need to survive. The administration from 1980 have failed us all. We needvto reformat nigeria. Pastors are also included.

This is the only way we can restore the hope of our unborn children, or else they will be slaves for the resf of their lives or they will have to migrate to another land neglecting and forgeting their heritage.

Messi j: - wht are u hiding in ur post, was Joe suppose to have elected D service chiefs without D lawmakers? If u stand 4 this then let D Egyptians Be. 4 one person, we cant mortgage our future. GEJ is nt that important, no it is the ppl. Lets stop this reverence of political ppl
I don't think you guys get team picture. Morsi killed himself from the beginning, he saw himself holding a hot spots position in which the West and middle east will be finding alliance with, he decided to build his own empire forgetting that some people voted him there.

It was not about islam or whatsoever, the chief of defence has ties with the Muslim brotherhood. No one betrayed democracy, then only wanted improvement in their lives and they voted him out just as they voted him in.

He (morsi) greed killed him, he never declared his interest either going West or East he was living a do blend standard life.

Buhari cannot declare sharia in Nigeria because even the Muslims know iis going to be the end of what is called nigeria. That is not part of his agenda.

We Nigerians should stop voting for religion, religion have been a barrier which have been separating us, we should vote for someone with our conscience rather than our stomach

Hezron Lorraine: It starts with sustainability of an undying and determined spirit of the citizens to hold the govt accountable for its actions.
I'm glued to CNN and Aljazeera right now,and this protest are deadly,3 already dead, dozens wounded.serious protests by both factions.in a Nigeria uprising like this we can't bond together to demand what is right or expected.the fuel subsidy protest was hijacked by opponents of GEJ and turned to fun-fare where they called musicians for performance and fed the protesters.the Egypt case is different, many slept in the rain, heavy desert sun beats them.the squares are locked as limited movement due to heavy congestion of the protesters.

We start from putting in the right person, but at times we vote the best person who isn't necessarily the right candidate.Egypt is a case study.
Regarding the fuel subsidy issue, I already saw it dead on arrival. Our media and journalism was poor.

There was no proper guide to what the masses were fighting for. Some were shouting corruption, while others see it as fun. Our youths need to wake up, all leaders including Tinubu as well as our religious leaders need to be given a proper measurement of justice. Our youths are still divided, our parents already betrayed their conscience for their stomachs, they will claim we should not join in the protest just because they received an unfair share.

What Egypt demonstrated was that nothing in this world when heart and mind is guided towards it. They were fighting for the same course.

Did you see protest in Turkey how did it end? The protesters won, supreme court passed the verdict, they won.

Ours here, everyone is lobbying for the national cake

Hezron Lorraine: cheap propaganda.every nation has its own stain of corruption and maladministration.this surely determines how others perceive u.
Nigeria knows where it belongs to on world matters.Nigeria is a Giant with Feets of a Dwarf.Still a giant is a giant.it needs be feared.
The cases of disrespect to Nigerians abroad doesn't go unreciprocated or unchallenge.the govt can only do little with diplomacy in most cases.
where does nigeria belongs to? The country can only be placed in the class of Bangladesh, Pakistan.

The fact is that the responsibility of taking the country to its rightful position lies in our hands and not expecting an incompetent government to do it.

The question we should ask ourselves is how do we do it?
PoliticsRe: FG Condemns Removal Of Egypt's President Morsi. by mankand(m): 6:40pm On Jul 05, 2013
Hezron Lorraine: chimp.
Nigeria's Foreign Policy as not only be boosted to support Nigeria's economy, but also we've seen Modern day diplomacy.have you seen how Nigeria plays its foreign objectives.
Libya, they were right on Gaddafi.they are delivering in Mali.nigeria is running for the UN Security Council unchallenged by any other african country, while it still pursues ambition for a permanent seat which it silently has Britain and France's support though both nations are yet to openly endorse Nigeria since there's still isn't open delberation for expansion of the council.
Nigeria keeps delivering on top level issues in UN,and its reps have provided frameworks that turn out successful on many issues of relevancy.

The other day,I was arguing here on NL when those russian sailors were released that Russia can't nuke Nigeria without starting WW3,some said Russia has imaginary friendship with Nigeria and no other superpower will fight for us.
Its just many know little of our Foreign Policy,How strong Nigeria's diplomatic corp is.
Dude you all should come out and face the real truth rather than keep living in illusion.

Nigerian foreign policy? You think your leaders care? No they are only trying to protect their selfish interest. Go to neighbouring countries and then see how they treat Nigerian passports.

The fact is that Nigerian leaders are greedy pursuing their own interest in the UNITED. Who do you think is listening to nigeria in the UN nobody.

For the records Nigerian soldiers in Mali are only running domestic errands for the French soldiers and they have not been involved in any physical combat for technical reasons.

Nigeria have long lost its glory and respect in the world.
PoliticsRe: FG Condemns Removal Of Egypt's President Morsi. by mankand(m): 6:32pm On Jul 05, 2013
Hezron Lorraine: it does matter.Nigeria is a Principal member of the AU and an african power nation.
Our opinion determines the reactions of other. Most nations wait for Nigeria,SA,Ethiopia to speak out on issues of this kind on africa.
Our voice on Africa is what canvasses vote in support or against Morsi's overthrow.
Nigeria is more influential than u think, because most of you think Influence is now determined by Obama's visit.smh.
So you still believe in Nigeria been giant of Africa?

FYI nigeria already lost its respect due to massive corruption of our leaders tainting the image of our dear country. I did not think you have been to smaller African countries and see how they treat Nigerian passports.

You only site in your room claiming giant of Africa

Which democracy did you fight for? I guess the democracy of rice and maggi. Until there is revolution there can be no change. Just because you are a coward does not means others think like you

cyco05: mankand stop saying too much!u coward...what good has the arab spring done? Reduce world population right?...if u av been a leader before then ul keep quiet! Ask the moslem brotherhood who were always at the forefronts of criticism
And what have you about been a leader. Just one word for you, "COWARD"

The Arab Spring was been manipulated by the west to bring down Libya and Ghadaffi, unfortunately it turned out to be a failure. Before the fall of Ghadaffi, all his allies country experienced regime change. It all started with Tunisia, Morsi was only a fool drunk of power for the first time, he was never ready to declare his interest in who he is going to support, either the West or East.

After one year, the citizens of Egypt looked like a fool, they craved for a change in dictatorship, a change in regime, they wanted an improvement in their lives, they needed a man of the people, The shouted at Tahir Square and Mubarak fell, Military held power for a few period in order to stabilize order, they conducted a free and fair election with their conscience, Unfortunately, the man they voted for was trying to exploit and make fool of them.

They returned back to the street and ask for his removal. If i ask you a question, you have an unperforming employee, what will you do to him? you go to your church and continue praying that God change him or remove him for you when you have the power to remove him? grin grin grin grin grin grin

I laugh in Chinese.

The different between Egyptians and Cowards like you is that they are ready to take life by the jugular, but for you you only know how to pray.

You have dully elected a leader by hook and crook and after 3 years, what improvement have he brought to your life? Only elephant promises and slow development? Even your lives and properties are not safe. You think you are better than the Egyptians?

FYI Nigerians are still trooping to the same Egypt you are lambasting. In fact lots of Nigerians are hustling in Mali and other lower standard countries you know why? They do not want to keep hanging around cowards like yourself.

duality: Seriously, I doubt if I can help you.
Firstly, Your statements tells me you are excluding yourself from Nigerians. Are you a foreigner? what is "YOU ALL" ?

Secondly, I'm not one of the emotional type when it comes to politics hence I don't pitch my tent with any political group. I look at things dispassionately and make my decisions.

Thirdly, what is it with you and the statement "I don't give a damn" Please when making reference to it, use it relative to the context it was used. Besides, when the president made the statement he used it; stating that the issue was a matter of personal principle.(public declaration of asset). The way you refer to the statement is somewhat politically skewed.

I am not a sycophant. I'm able to make objective judgement. If we have an elected leader, my personal opinion, is to give the person a chance to excel, give necessary support and suggestions, constructive criticism, and against all odds project a positive image of our society and government. If at the end of his tenure, I feel the person has not done enough, we vote in someone who we think can do better. This will not generate politics of hate as we experience presently in Nigeria.

I remember that this administration has not fully constituted its cabinet when some folks started talking about 2015. I knew then, that their was going to be problems.

Finally, In 2015 Nigerians should make their evaluations and vote based on that. Until then, Lets stop heating up the polity and focus on collective development.
Firstly I do not need your help and I am not crying for help here. This forum is presented for us to say out our minds without fear.

I am proudly Nigerian and I am not excluding myself from the demise or trying to blame others for the demise of the country at the expense of removing myself from the blame. What I am saying is that Nigerians should try put on the garment of Boldness and not Cowardice.

From 1960, we have the same set of criminals leading the country, now they are having heirs replacing them in power to rule us again. They send their children to the best universities abroad at our own expense, and what we only do is to celebrate the same criminals? Hell no. When election campaign starts, we come out to support them after receiving just 2 cups of rice and other cooking amenities.

What i am trying to point out is that they keep messing with our heads.

"I don't give a damn"? Are you sure you are a Nigerian? Your president said so on a live interview with over 80 million nigerians watching.

This administration cannot fully construct its cabinet because all we have there are thieves. They are after themselves. They do not give a damn about us. They are busy building empires for themselves

Finally like you said in 2015, Nigerians should make their evaluations. Lets hope Nigerians are ready to get it right. Let us hope they will vote with their consciense rather than the N1, 000 they received.
Foreign AffairsRe: What Are The Lessons From Egypt? by mankand(m): 2:28pm On Jul 04, 2013
take dat: Why should we look toward Egypt, a nation with no democratic experience? The popularity rating of a president may be low, but that does not mean he should be removed through unconstitutional means. The president needs a majority only when elected, not at every subsequent moment and even if at all the president was to be removed either because of gross abuse of power or incompetence, it should be by legal means except you believe that rule of law is a myth and democracy is a lie!
What is happening now in Egypt is NOT a military coup. It's the People's Revolution against a fascist, fanatic regime. 33 million Egyptians are out in the streets to kick Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood OUT once and for all.
The Egyptians have spoken out of free will to change this country around. The army is by our side to protect us and to protect our beloved Egypt.

What's happening in Egypt is a real revolution it is not a military coup and the authority will be handed as per law to the Head of the Constitutional court for a limited period till they have a new fair election.
Foreign AffairsRe: What Are The Lessons From Egypt? by mankand(m): 2:18pm On Jul 04, 2013
duality: Oh please....

"will power" is exercised through elections, judicial processes, legislative processes etc. We have not even started using effectively the powers of democracy. have any docile legislator been recalled? Recall some docile legislators today and see if the legislative houses at both state and federal level will not change. I'm surprised people will not exhaust the constitutional means of dealing with issues and they feel the unconstitutional means is best. Yet people condemn what happened in Aluu; Rivers State. Is it not the same Mob action?
You have not started using effective powers of democracy because you all choose to vote through mediocre and sentiments. You dance with them on campaign grounds to collect 2 Derica or Rice and 1ltr of groundnut oil with few cubes of maggi and in addition they give you N1, 000 to go home with.

When you have a leader that can say boldly "I don't give a damn" what do you do? You elected him there, will you keep praying to God to remove him for you when you placed him there by your own hands? God is too busy to be meddling into such errands.

You talk about constitutional means, I just concluded that you are a self centred person, you only care about yourself, have you thought about the hope of the common man? the less priviledged? Nah i think to you, they are the minority.
Foreign AffairsRe: What Are The Lessons From Egypt? by mankand(m): 12:54pm On Jul 04, 2013
duality: What the Heck!!?

What in my post suggest cowardice ? I strongly believe in decency. trust me, Mob action does not show decency or any form of cerebral development expected of human beings. Any nation that takes critical decisions on the streets is not yet ready for development. You think mob actions is what will make you and your leader accountable to yourselves? you must be joking.

Its like saying killing criminals will stop criminality.
Not mob action, but making your elected leaders understand the will power of the people. Let them be ready to be accountable and not "I do not give a damn" attitude

No offence meant at you in my post bro
