AMINDA: If this materialises, the best Tinubu can hope for is to come second. Obi will still dust him in the South and parts of the middlebelt (if he still runs on same faith ticket) while the bulk of his Northern 5.6m votes will now go to Atiku. Obi may not do better than his 2023 numbers as he has since lost some ground, but Atiku will definitely do better but may struggle with spread. (Emphasis on "may".) Unfortunately, Kwankwaso is staying put in the ADC and will likely run for Senate to position for the Senate presidency. He has nothing to lose. he can't run for the Senate after loosing out in presidential election |

Tenses: Why are all these tinubu data boys desperate for a three horse race?
tinubu never wanted oppositions. Now all the oppositions will file out one formidable candidate that will kick him out of Aso Rock.
Be it Atiku or Obi, tinubu is a goner. one thousand of this oppositions can't scratch tinubu a bit , he is a jaganban for a reason, na Jonathan dey fear Tinubu no dey fear anything. 2027 we shall teach them another lesson about Nigerian politics. |

ADC needs to do more on publicity because that is good news and a big plus for the party. big plus for wetin the court said they should maintain status quo and not do the convention? |

Naijahero1: Lol. This guy don confuse. Better leave Nairaland before hypertension kpai you. TInubu is gone. He doesn't need liars to tell him. Go to the north where he claims he got his votes and say TInubu if they don't cut off your legs. They don't warn you already. Dare them. only a fool will take the poster of the message serious because it's no longer business as usual, the north has it used to be defined has changed so also their interest, I'm from the north and inshallah, I'll vote for Tinubu in 2027 , president asiwaju bola Ahmed tinubu only had problems with some greedy northern leaders but he is still very popular in the north, he was smart enough to have spread his dividend of democracy across all the Northern parts and Middle belts unlike his Predesessors that used to concentrate every thing in sokoto ,kaduna ,kano , kastina, jigawa and kebbi , this is happening for the first time in history of Nigeria, more also, the usual trick of delaying the announcement of the election results and collation of the certain northern states for the purpose of inflating it in order to counter and undermine any results that might have come from Southern states have casted , so president tinubu second term is as sure as sun set . |

TonyRazor: Nigerian Voters Warn INEC Against Attempt to Undermine ADC Leadership, Issue 7-Day Ultimatum
Tony Okafor, Awka
The Nigerian Voters Organisation (NVO) has cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against what it described as a “phantom de-recognition” of the national leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), warning that such actions could undermine Nigeria’s democratic process.
In a statement issued Tuesday night by Barrister Jezie Ekejiuba, Human Rights Lawyer and President of NVO, the organisation called on ADC’s National Chairman, Senator David Mark, and National Secretary, Chief Rauf Aregbesola, to remain steadfast and proceed with the party’s scheduled congresses and national convention.
Barr. Ekejiuba alleged that INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, in collaboration with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is attempting to sabotage ADC’s party structures to prevent it from sponsoring candidates in the 2027 general elections.
According to the statement, the de-recognition is “void ab initio” and lacks legal standing.
“The INEC’s phantom de-recognition is a banana peel laid by the APC, working hand in hand with Prof. Amupitan to scuttle the planned congresses of the ADC. This is an attempt to pave the way for APC candidates to be returned unopposed.”
The NVO also criticised INEC for allegedly overstepping its mandate by interpreting court orders in Appeal No. CA/ABJ/145/2026 between Senator David Mark and Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe & 4 Others, asserting that the commission acted as a “court of law” in punishing a political party involved in a civil litigation process.
Despite the controversy, NVO commended the ADC leadership for their decision to continue with planned party congresses, stressing that this aligns with the requirements of the 2026 Electoral Act.
The organisation further urged Prof. Amupitan to reverse the decision within seven days, warning that failure to comply would compel NVO to seek judicial enforcement.
Ekejiuba concluded by assuring Nigerians that NVO would collaborate with other stakeholders to resist moves that could establish a one-party state, describing the INEC action as “politically manipulated and legally void.” I knew this organization, they have just two members, the president of NVO and the secretary. |
