All these tactics of paying some hungry almajiris who cannot read or write in English, then handing them placards bearing inscriptions like “Tinubu Must Go,” are archaic, childish, and rather amusing.

The funny thing is that instead of reducing President Tinubu’s popularity in the North, this kind of stunt may actually be having the opposite effect. People are not fools; they can see when a protest is being staged for the cameras.

I have lived in the North, and I know what I’m talking about.

This was neither a political rally nor a political gathering. It was chaos that broke out at a fun gathering. Yet, in their desperate attempt to twist the narrative, some Obidients are claiming that a musician who was singing in support of President Tinubu was beaten.

I thought the spirit of lying descended only on Peter Obi; I never knew it had spread like a virus to some of his supporters. 😂

M.K.O' s Decca Records' handling of Fela's royalties and contracts with other artistes (like the Lijadu Sisters) back in the day showed me exactly why he would have turned out just another Tinubu failing woefully in office.

As I recall, baba Fela managed to gain access into their damned office, locked himself in and tore out the sham contracts the company made with artistes who were literally working like elephants and eating like ants at the time.
And of course, MKO fought him back using their regular zombies, the Nigeria Police Force.

MKO ain't the knight in shining armour that most of my people think he was and one term with him in power would have proven it - just like we are seeing with his friend, Tinubu, today.

He's no hero of mine!

No one was misleading anyone here. It is quite obvious from your previous post in the thread that you were simply trying to downplay the efforts of President Tinubu in improving the welfare and working conditions of military personnel.

You are entitled to your opinion, but the facts should speak for themselves. The military salary consequential adjustment has been in the news for the past two to three months. So, your statement suggesting that people were celebrating the presidential intervention as though an additional ₦1 million had been added to their salaries was unnecessary and reeked of bad belle. People were simply acknowledging and appreciating the intervention.

Yes their was increment, but not all soldiers are paid the 80 percent increment. Private to SNCOs are 80 percent that means a staff sergeant before now who earns like 130 will be earning 320 or so.

Officer cadre, officers from lieutenant to LtCol are 50 percent that means an officer earning 250 before now will earn like 375 or so.

Senior officers are 30 percent, that means a senior officer who earns like 600 before will step up to 780.

Don't paint a picture like it's millions. Increment. Its between 150-200 on average.

Well, he knows the governors knows they don't like him. That's why their body language recently is not encouraging to the party's hierarchy.

The carrot method is not working, now they want to bring out the big stick. But how many governors can you oppress?

Most are thinking all-night no how to pacify their electorates and retain power. Thimey are at that junction where they have ti make the most difficult alliance of the political journey.

But the governor's chances of trying to work with Tinubu and retaining their sits next election is diminishing by the day.
