What newspaper and what year was this published?
The newspaper is not relevant, what is relevant is the content.
The year too is not relevant either, ideological consistency is a virtue of a through-bred politician not anywhere belle face
FFK is a man patently lacking in integrity.

In his own words, in his own volition, without duress, these are reasons why GEJ must not be re-elected.

Kabiru said virtually all Arewa members had
collected their Permanent Voter Cards. He promised
to ensure one million votes for the All Progressives
Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen.
Muhammadu Buhari (retd.); and the state’s
governorship candidate, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.
These are non indigenes of Lagos, but are no shouting about not being given PVC. Only our noise making friends love playing victim to everything.

[s]People like you scare me. why? because of the assurance in your writing tone and the slight hint of desperation. This goes for the supporters of both USELESS candidates. How are you so sure your desired USELESS candidate will win? What happens when your desired USELESS candidate losses? Will you cross the divide and congratulate the loser? I do hope you realize that both USELESS candidates cannot win. The most obvious and realistic answer will be a big fat NO. First the more amiable ones among you will grumble and shout the that there were election malpractice, and more desperate and frustrated ones will take to the streets maiming and killing everyone in sight. Just because of an election. I was having a discussion last Night with a friend of mine about the Nigerian mentality. We came to the conclusion that Nigerians living in Nigeria don't even realize that their mentality is funked up. They have been so used to the rot that the current status quo is normal. Bro's cool down. It's just an election, which i will highly suggest you show your disapproval by not voting. This will alert the outside world to the Nonsense going on Nigeria[/s].
What exactly is your message, I have no time to indulge you in reading this badly constructed rants.

I can't demean myself by condescending to engage in a discussion with you. All you have done on this thread is rain expletives on people. I am certain you are about now constructing the scarthing comment you plan to make against me.

No comments. I have since moved on.

Exactly the words I use when the argument becomes tiring. Let everybody vote their choice and also get prepared to take part responsibility for whatever would happen to the country under the leadership of their candidate should they win. The thought of GEJ winning this election, really disturbs me cause I'm too sure it will be another waste of 4yrs.
You are very correct, it's as simple as that. Since we are old enough to make decisions, we should be old enough to accept the consequences of such decision without looking for who to blame.

As in the benefit they get from Lagos, what of Nigerian economy that depends on oil from the eastern part of the country? Do you think that East ends at Enugu, Anambra, Imo and Abia, all these are geographical locations. Igbo is in the blood and not location. You have not thought of the oil, economy is suffering just for it's low price how much more when we have fewer available ones to export.

The country will have too much to fight, do you think bokoharam will go that soon, think again.

Many of you need to grow up from your lopsided thinking.
Which East are you talking about? Please spare me the bullshytee. I've told you, vote your conscience and live with the consequences, same thing applies to me.

No one is betraying Jonathan, he will only reap the fruit of the politics of tribal and religious hatred he sowed.

the Igbos in Lagos should vote wisely, voting on religion and tribal prejudice can only hurt them in lagos in the long run.

I feel sorry for Buhari because by the time he gets swear into office by May 29 there will be no money left in the nation account for him to start with. I just hope he probe and arrest GEJ and his corrupt kitchen cabinet. #Never again will Nigeria vote a corrupt president like GEJ
Unfortunately you are right, the rot in the treasury will only be exposed after May 29th when a new party takes over.

mikeansy:
I have researched the constitution enough on this matter and I know the rules and I am not suprised by the decision of the court

Quite frankly I really don't know what constitution you guys read
In law and accounting, there is what is call SUBSTANCE OVER FORM, the substance is that a President cannot do more than 2 terms of 4 years each term, in the case of GEJ, there is a clear aberration amd breach of the constitution as he would effectively have done more than 8 years if re elected.
Politics › Re: The Legitimate Disqualification Of Buhari Could Save Nigeria From Crisis by ManMountain(m): 9:21pm On Mar 14, 2015
mikeansy:
the Court has established that Jonathan is only doing his first term as elected President

He however completed Yar'adua's tenure in accordance to the constitution in the case of death to a sitting President.

In the eyes of the law Jonathan has only been elected once and the court has established this fact.
It's known how the judges arrived at that judgment, but I presently don't have the constitution within my reach now, but you can go and read chapter 6 and part 1 ( Federal executive) hope I'm correct and you will come to term with the miscarriage of judgment in that decision allowing GEJ to run for another 4 years.
Going forward, no judge in Nigeria will ever use that again as precedent.

which section of the constitution are you quoting please?

provide quote of section and link please

I don't believe in heresay

The court have already addressed this so please provide evidence why we should take you more seriously than the courts!
You have the constitution ( I supposed) and you must be intelligent enough to know that as a Nigerian President you can't do more than 2 terms of 8 years in all.
