The both of you still have enough time in your hands and have nothing to worry about(you probably still get pocket money from your parents) when you both graduate reality will set in and she would realize being jealous in a relationship is not a life goal. |

Career › Re: SUBEB: My Mother Was Cheated And Harassed At Her Workplace by manny4u(m): 6:40pm On Feb 10, 2020 |
ayoadeifee: I Am writing this with my heart bleeding with too much pains, I need help!!!!! My mom has been working with the government as a teacher for the past thirty two years, she's upright and diligent and a very hardworking woman, she's the best teacher I grew up to know.
She was promoted to head teacher November last year after all she's due for it. In another school, the same local government, there are rifts and fights within that school which is school 1,2,3 which does not have anything to do with my mom, suddenly they called my mom from SUBEB, they want to transfer her to that school where they have been having loggerhead. But it's not that she doesn't want to go but my mom has health challenges. She's high blood pressure patient and the place of primary assignment is very far from our residence so she refused to collect the letter of transfer and she presented her doctor's report at SUBEB.
I forget to add that the other person they transferred to my mom school from the school they are having rifts was well known at SUBEB and was a very powerful person so she initially pointed where my mom was heading that she want that place or they transfer her back to her sch back, but my mom refused it, and since she has the back up of SUBEB, the chairman and almost everyone at that SUBEB came this morning and chased my mom out of her office saying she was suspended. They do not only cheated her but they also humiliated and violated her human right and harassed her publicly just because we don't know anybody from the government.
Meanwhile it's just within the local government, it has not reach the state level, At this present moment we don't know what to do. She has been so devastated and sad since morning. We have been praying but we still don't know what to do. She should drop her resignation letter and walk away with dignity and respect. |

Crime › Re: Maryam Sanda Shouting "Mummy, Mummy" After Death Sentence (Video) by manny4u(m): 9:57am On Jan 28, 2020 |
12Monkeys: The crime was committed in Abuja and tried in a federal high court.
All convicted capital offenders get an automatic appeal which can be continued up to the Supreme court.
If all appeals are exhausted, the execution can only be carried out by an executive order by a duly elected governor which the FCT does not have. The minister of FCT is not constitutionality empowered to grant pardons or a prerogative of mercy. So if the minister can not grant pardons, he can not sign warrants either. Who then will sign her death warrant as constitutionally mandated for executions?
This is the reason federal judges hardly pass death sentences. The case of Kabirui Sokoto who was responsible for over 200 deaths in the Abuja Nyanya bombings and Okah's Independence day lethal bombings saw only life sentences as both crimes were committed in Abuja and tried at an Abuja high court.
Only Governors can sign a warrant. Even the president doesn't have that responsibility although he can grant pardons or commutations to a life sentence.
The point I am making is that, the useless woman judge who passed this sentence is not aware of the intricacies surrounding death sentences within federal jurisprudence .
She is obviously from the same school as Tanko.
If in doubt, why did the FG hand Maj Mustapha and Gen Bamiyi to Lagos state for prosecution?
Even in the US, the FBI may decide to try someone in a state court rather than federal when looking for a death sentence. The only crimes that can lead to a death conviction in a US federal court is espionage and treason. Same rules apply in Nigeria. Guy you sabi book oooo!!! Nice interpretation there, but I would have love to read from some one with a contrary view too. It been long I read intelligent conversation like this on Nairaland. |

Bigbright7: Greetings to you my fellow nairalanders,
My heart is filled with tears as I type this because today, the devil used Mr Joel in the recruit department of workforce group to be the stumbling blocks to my breakthrough.
I went for an interview with workforce group gbagada, and during my credentials check, Mr Joel accused me of tampering with my D.O.B on my Waec certificate just because it was laminated and the ink looks faint. Mind you the D.O.B on my O'Level corresponded with my ID card and my birth certificate.
I tried to prove my innocence, but rather he chased me away from his desk, and that was how I lost the job as I wasn't interviewed. I almost cried right in front of everyone there, because I have been searching for a job for months now and this happened.
I don't know who needs to hear this but please, do not laminate your credentials, so that you can be able to defend the authenticity of it when your recruiters touch them.
A young man in the name of Ayo who also works in that department saw how downcast I was and walk up to me and encouraged me not to be troubled, that something big will come my way. Thank you Ayo for your word of encouragement. God bless you, I believe something big will come, and when it does I'll share the news.
Thank you too Mr Joel, you were only doing your job. Cheers
Please move to front page. Don't blame yourself bro, that job was not for you. Trust me in the next couple of months you wud get a far better offer. I had a similar experience with zenith bank(contract), and today I thank GOD I did not get the slavery job that wud have just tied my destiny down. Some recruiters in Nigeria are complete idiots who don't know a thing about recruitment processes but somehow thinks they are doing a great jib. |
