Can't people be creative, @poster, must u clone someone's thread. |
@Siena, i personally won't lie about my age, cos i don't see any reason why I should. What I meant by "it's in the Nigerian blood" is that age cheating has become part and parcel of almost every sector in the country, even at a tender age, children are already being taught how to lie about their age for instance, a visitor comes to the house and sees a child, and say hey! You're now a big boy how old are u the child who is 7 year old would recieve a signal by the mum to say 5 and then says i'm 5 year old, don't you think it's almost definitely possible that the child would keep on lying about his age till adulthood. In the educational sector, some people who weren't privileged to finish secondary school at the age of 16, would go to court and swear affidavit, that their birth certificate was burnt, some would go as far as forging birth certificate, thanks to those who carry along the road selling it, then an adult goes and buy it and fills the form, I guess they wanna be born again. In the area of sports, u can see it for urself, 25year olds and above playing for U-17. In the Banking sector, or let me say in the area of jobs, you'll see a 30 year old claiming to be 22, so as not to resign as the mandatory 65year. I'm not in support of it, and I won't lie about my age for any reason, but what i'm saying is lying of one's age has eaten deep in the Nigerian environment, just as termite eats deep in the wood. |
i'll say let love lead the way, but it just ain't right, none of them is running away so why rush things. Slow down. |
@poster, because the weather is terrible, and they hustle the hell out of themselves to make u ladies happy. period. |
Mo, where have u been, u've been off for a while, hope no probs? |
let love lead the way aight. she lied yeah,u urself, were u a virgin when u met her. Maybe u emphasised virginity a lot. |
Yes, if u don't who would, his mum? provided the children are still 2 young, it's madam's work aight. |
cos it's in the Nigerian blood, and nothing can be done about it. |

All the governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party are expected to meet in Abuja on January 5 to discuss burning national issues. The meeting, which Kwara State Governor Bukola Saraki said would hold at the Kwara Governor's Lodge, is expected to discuss the February 6, 2010 governorship election in Anambra State, state of the nation and the on-going electoral reform. The governors were initially scheduled to meet on Tuesday but many of them were said to have travelled to Minna, Niger State to condole with former military president, Gen. Ibrahim Babagida(rtd.) whose wife was buried on wednesday. According to Saraki, the January 5 meeting will discuss in details some issues affecting the nation. The governors are also expected to be briefed by the National Chairman of the party, Chief Vincent Ogbulafor. The PDP boss and the National Secretary of the party, Alhaji Kawu Baraje led some of its National Working Committee to Tuesday's meeting. But the meeting could not go on due to not-forming of quorum which necessitated the shifting of the meeting till January. Governors who came for the aborted meeting Jonah Jang, Plateau State; Mr Chibuike Amaechi, Rivers State; Chief Ikedi Ohakim, Imo State; Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State; Sullivan Chime of Enugu State; Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa State; and Obong Godswill Akpabio, Akwa Ibom State. |

With the increasing number of sites flying the flag of Nigeria to the outside world, Nairaland has been in the forefront, showing to the outside world, what Nigerians have to offer, attracting Nigerians, Africans and others from other continents of the world to the Nigerian forum. With the world class and standard site, little wonder is Nairaland one of the top websites in Africa, and among the top 1000 websites in the world. Nairaland, is indeed one of the most(if not the most) progressive websites, and this is clear from the increasing population of the members, which grows geometrically, and part of this feat is been achieved, as a result of the determination and relentless efforts of the Moderators, who have ensured discipline, peace and have enforced adherence to the rules and regulations of the land, I say well done to u guys, i've been to many sites, and have seen many Moderators, but you guys are one of a kind, keep up the good work. Mr. Seun, in truth, u have exhibited the "can do spirit"(the true Nigerian spirit), and u've remained steadfast in ur doings, and despite the criticism by some off the members, u have remained focused and haven't lost direction, I say thumbs up to you, u've done Nigerian's proud with ur website. Indeed, Nairaland is a success story, i'm glad to be part of it, and promise to contribute my own quota, in the continuous growth of Nairaland. Nairaland is the Nigerian forum, indeed, Nairaland is the Nigerian pride. |
