Hissexcellencie: I suggest we all storm camp by that 1st Sept. Then stay there till 8th. (If what is on †ђξ website is true) then we can have our 3week experience in just 8days. Make we go wreck dat Ipaja maami for them. Picture panorama. Gyration everyday. Of course w/out †ђξ beagle and man O- war (compulsory) drills. what say U guys?

I was thinking along this line... But I dont think staying in camp for 8 days uninvited is such a good idea... From what I heard, we would come 2 weeks after registration to collect our PPA posting, this means at that time we would all converge the same day, irrespective of geopolitcal zone... We can then contact each other and take pictures on that day... Hang around in Mami, catch the fun we want... We could also have fun outside camp maybe during the weekend, in a beach or any hangout, yeah still putting on our khaki and then we could come along with our white and white also and take photos.... We could create our own fun! Camp is about making new friends, taking photos, more photos and lots of photos... We've made friends here on nairaland already, lots of them. Watz left is how we converge and catch the fun we so desire..(I know this might be a bit difficult for those not residing in lag or dont have anyone here, but if u can make it, it would be lovely)...... Who is with me on this??

Abi. After registration on the 3rd, i would look for a tailor around the camp area, slimfit my khaki(i cant imagine snapping with oversized..lol) and unto snapping tinz. Nothing would stop my fun... Lol

Babe calm down! It hasnt come to this. I know you are hurt, and thatx the same way everyone in stream2 feels. Those acting like they dont give a damn about the camp been cancelled are only fronting and trying not to feel bad and console themselves, if they really didnt care, would they have been following these thread for months now? Exchanging numbers? Making friends, discussing even deep in the night. We all feel bad and cheated, but itz all for the best. Atleast we would get our kits, get our allowance, and so on... Instead of crying over spilt milk, start praying for good posting to a favourable PPA. Trust me working in a good place for 11 months is better than all the fun u 'assume' u could get in 3 weeks! Letz be matured, havent seen you insult anyone here before, but calling people retards coz of this stuff is disappointing......

Askmydas: I don't think the suspension of both primary & secondary sch is enough reason why NYSC should come into such resolution. Let's be realistic here, there's more to what they said. I believe they used the opportunity of d directive given by the fed. Govt in avowing d suspension of d resumption of all sec & primary schs.
I guess they don't want to avow the truth behind the reason why the orientation won't be conducted. Come to think of it, if the reason will cause fear & panic amongst prospective corpers (Ebola), they wouldn't want that to happen. Rather they'll come up with flimsy excuses.

I sent the DG NYSC messages this morning asking why we should be treated unjustly , and to my surprise he replied this " You will still go to the camp by 1st sept".... pls what r we to believe now.... ? is it the DG NYSC or the news on NYSC site.?... this is sooooo funny and confusing...

It depends on where you get posted to. If they dont give you accomodation, you have to rent a house yourself.

1. So we wont partake in the 21days activities like our stream1 counterparts?
2. Since schools have been told not to resume, can I bring my letter of recommendation to be posted to a place of my choice
3. When are we getting our August allowance

he hasnt replied me yet. Let me give him breathing space, later I would call him , he must give me answers, itz my right!

Govt & Nysc scheme for not making provisions for everyone to be camped at †ђξ same time. If to say dem know dem for tell me since say I no go go camp. prixxy7: Guys guys pls check nysc website and get d new update ryt now. I actually dont understand wat D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ mean sha. So someone shuld read and explain to me. Lol.

What i understand from that update is that registration would be splitted according to your geo-political zone so we are not all resuming camp for registration at the same time (am from the south south, so i would resume camp between 3-4, so u are to check for the date allocated to ur geopolitical zone) but they said registration is for only one one hour, that got me confused. I guess this protocol is to screen us cause of the ebola stuff... The other one that says we would report to state of deployment/relocation doesnt affect us in lag, but those posted to northern states who were asked to camp in another state..... NYSC is confusing us though!

Not so far, from gbagada, just take a bus to Oshodi, from oshodi, pick a bus to Iyana Ipaja... Everything shouldnt cost you more than 500 bucks

macuwon: the strict posting to schools policy hasnt been soft-pedalled ooooo.. Na because of OBS.. And i dunno if i can influence.. Coz he has signed it and submitted it.

I doubt the matter is closed even though you said he has signed and submitted it. I know most times in camps(lagos and abuja) the corpers are asked to bring their letter of recommendation or so from a company that has requested you(thatz if you have one), then NYSC would post you to that company. So your PPA is only confirmed after you have been given your letter.. Even after that, you can srill reject the PPA or make them reject u if the place doesnt favour you (transportation or accomodation wise)
