I think I understand... Some orientation camps use public schools as their camp (sometimes due to refurbishing of the main camp or non-existence of an orientation camp in the state at all) a friend of mine currently camping in a school, I have forgotten the state ....

Really NYSC is confusing everybody, this their new released statement doesnt still solve anything or douse the fire instead itz fuelling the already raging fire... It seems they are encrypting their words so that if any negative issue comes up, they can circumnavigate and deny responsibility....
Now they said itx not because of ebola but because of governments directive for schools on vacation not to resume so as to avoid spread of the disease[ebola] ( Please people, are they not still saying the same thing?)
does this news explain why 6 out of 9 states were affected? Or does it mean all 9 states were affected?

With all this responsibilties listed here, what is the salary range? And what location in lagos? Since you said it's a marketing job, is based on commission or salary?

Am actually thinking if NYSC feels they are scared of people contacting EVD on the camp then they should allows us go to the camp do registration, collect our NYSC kits, collect our transportation allowance, bicycle allowance, collect our "august" and sept salary, collect letters of posting to our various PPA, do swearing and let every body go and resume in their respective PPA matter end abi Wetin una think

But really NYSC should pay us extra for 'psychological and emotional' damage. Our colleagues that were mobilised and got call up letter the same time with us just they flood social network with camp pix, we just dey look on, dey observe

The management of the National Youth Service
Corps, (NYSC) says it has put strategies in place to
make state governments consider NYSC camps in
their the campaign against the Ebola Virus Disease.
The Director General of the NYSC, Brig. Gen.
Johnson Olawumi, who stated this on Thursday at
the Issele-Uku Orientation Camp, Delta State while
fielding questions from reporters, disclosed that the
NYSC scheme was in touch with all State
Commissioners of Health to incorporate NYSC
Camps into their contingency plans in case of any
suspected outbreak of Ebola or other communicable
diseases.
He added that all NYSC camp clinics had been
equipped with necessary facilities to allow the
medical personnel properly handle any suspected
patient, should the case arise

Guy you didnt watch the news, so why are you doubting? Itz very obvious that this news was in relation to those already in camp, and how they would manage the disease in the camp, that doesnt relate to us.... Ours (stream 2) is a different news from this one, which was stated much later after the one that concerns the stream1 corpers.

I know itx frustrating, and we are desperate, but lets try to use our comprehension skills in juxtaposing information!

Only ƒø̲̣̣я̅ me to check bou 3 mins ago and D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ updated and said dat ORIENTATION CAMP HOLDS 1ST OF SEPTEMBER! And D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ included all d 9 states of deployment! i didnt watch the news, but its quite confusing and contradicting that they want to postpone stream 2 on the basis of ebola, but Lagos which is the headquarter of the disease in Nigeria was skipped... Well, maybe they are looking at it in the sense that Lagos and the other state not mentioned in the postponment have the infrastructure than can effectively manage the outbreak, because thatz the only logical conclusion i can extract for Lagos been excluded from this new development.

I seriously hope you are right; because this our own time, story too much...

Because of strike last year, our service was shifted to this year, then for whatever reason instead of june, they shifted to August, because of overcrowding (in lag camp) , they shifted us to september, because of ebola, they want to shift again. Dah! Ebola gatz calm down oh... No be we get badluck pass!

prolly they didnt call lagos, because lagos already has stream 1 corpers, but the northern states where emphasized, because they dont have stream 1... But letz face the fact if they are putting stream 2 on hold because of ebola, then Lagos would top the list, because thatz the headquarter of the disease presently! Letz keep calm though and hope for positive news and maybe, just maybe this could somehow pave way for a sort of blessing for us in a way I cant even fathom.

dotchez: Hello everyone. Just watched Ait now and the DG of nysc said stream 2 has been put on hold cux of Ebola issh. That we will all know when to report to camp soon, and that we won't spend any extra day when batch B ends next year I.e we will all pop out same time next year

If that site has existed for two years and I havent visited it even once, it means they werent doing well at all... A friend of mine in Rivers camp just sent this to me... This guys didn't go out for lectures, instead they hid in the hostel..The soldiers found out , chased them out of their room, whether dressed or not, with their matress on their head. .. Lol
