yeah once i click on the three dots and click on download latest package it would change to the full size of 1.7gb

Clear cache of the updater app, reboot and use updater app or download with pc

Updating manually is easy. You just download the ROM and create a folder called downloaded_rom and paste the ROM there.

Goto your updater app click the MIUI 10 logo 10x the click the three vertical dots click choose update package, look for the ROM you placed in the folder above. Select switch your data on to verify the package and you are good to go. You won't lose your files
