FamilyRe: I Have Been With Him For 5 Years, No Sign Of Marriage by manwes: 6:18am On Mar 07, 2020
To start with, I have been on nairaland since 2006 and never comented on a relationship post like yours. I have to do this because I can see that you are very much glued to this guy and might never see the hand writing on the wall until it's too late. I have just one advice for you. Quit this toxic relationship now that you are still young without counting the cost. This might be hard on you, but you have to save yourself because this man in question is not going to marry you. Why do some ladies demean themselves and settle for less because of marriage? Your case is even worse because you don't just aim to be married, you love him so much. His demenor towards you obviously shoes that he doesn't love you nor respects you. If you weren't financial independent to some extent, he might have disconnected himself. I'm trying to say that he doesn't feel any sense of responsibility having you in his space for now. PLS QUIT THIS RELATIONSHIP WITHOUT LOOKING BACK. Best wishes!

FamilyRe: How Do I Overcome This Temptation From This Sexy Lady? by manwes: 7:18pm On Feb 09, 2020
Waalahi, this guy is very irresponsible and not a good role model for they very many single guys here aspiring to get married someday. He had a 'friends with benefit' in his apparyment and this random babe was supposed to show up for a fling. OP, DOES YOUR WIFE HAVE ANY CLUE THE KIND OF HUSBAND SHE HAS?
RomanceRe: About To Lose A Good Girl. Please Help! by manwes: 3:58am On Jan 29, 2020
Perhaps you can tell us how the OP could have given a clear narrative to his plight in few sentences. Next time when you feel lazy to read, I will advice you to just jump over threads like this without a comment.

Op,

You deserve award for making me laugh till tears started coming out from my eyes! Honestly, this thread deserve to be saved in Car Talk Library, so that anyday person provoke me for here, i go quickly rush to Library go laugh myself out.

How on Earth would someone who called himself a mechanic considered swapping in another engine without remembering that it's been controlled by a computer ? If he knew the engine was been controlled by "brain box", was he thinking the engine communicates with the "brain box" via bluetooth ? How come he didn't know the engine harness will run from the engine ECU to the sensors/components scattered on the engine and relays? Did he not see the old engine wiring harness on the engine bay before the old engine was removed?

As if the wrong engine and no engine wiring harness issue was not enough, he went ahead to construct in a carburettor on the intake manifold without considering first if the height of the carburettor will size the limited space available for the bonnet to close. Who would do such a thing biko nu? Is it not only someone who makes people laugh in circus would do that? Is like they have graduated from Clown to something else.

Op, who told you that engine didn't exist in Nigeria in used spare part market at the time you were searching for it? Do you think it's only in Ladipo that such car part market exist? Did you try Mgbuka-Obosi in Anambra state during the hunt for the engine replacement ? Have you ever been to that place?

Funny enough, a Nigerian will tell you that a car emitting black smoke means dead engine. A simply issue as CTS failure could mean a dead engine in Nigeria, simply because when clowns can't detect a fault causing engine malfunctioning, the engine will be declared dead, just like medical doctors do to dead patients. How are we even sure the original engine in that car has failed? What if the issue was ECU or sensor related? Probably some clowns must have connected some nonsence somewhere and blew up the the poor ECU or some electronics and the car refused to start or run properly. And for that, they declared the engine dead.

I don't even know what else to say.

Ikenna.

SportsRe: Why We Banned Siasia For Life, By FIFA by manwes: 2:03pm On Aug 18, 2019
I have read from the comments that follow, how most people quickly condemned Siasia for shamefully accepting bribe thereby tarnishing further, Nigeria's already battered image. I didn't read anything in the report detailing who offered bribe and for what match. Also, was Siasia given any opportunity to defend himself against this serious allegations? If he was availed such opportunity and he didn't defend himself and is yet to issue any statement following the ban by FIFA, it means that he might be culpable.

I'd like to know what happens if he is unable to pay the fine? Because that guy doesn't seem like he is in a financial position to pay such huge fine. He has already fallen and I don't see what he stands to loose if did not pay. Someone please explain this to me.
CrimeRe: FBI Arrests Many Nigerian Fraudsters In US by manwes: 9:33am On Aug 18, 2019
This will go down in history as the 'invictus effect'. A situation whereby prospective young Nigerian entrepreneurs would have to double their effort in securing international business dealings. Nigerians have been committing wire fraud for a long time and the FBI knows this. This case of invictus, however, is different because the guy had been wearing a clean slate on the global stage. Even frobes was myopic and fell short in its ratings. Future ratings by Forbes will be perceived differently as a result. I can imagine that Forbes rating provided invictus with more access to businesses and information needed to commit more fraud. As a business conglomerate, why would you feel reserved in dealing with a Nigerian business man rated by Forbes. Like I earlier stated, this will go down in history as the 'invictus effect '.
