i started giving them light form dusk to 10pm, that makes it 16 hours is that ok?
pls is there no problem with the rate of increase in the daily egg laying? the increase is just 3 to 7 every day. i got 64 eggs yesterday and 57 day before? and they started since december 27th.

hello my fellow poultry farmers. i thank all of you for your great contributions to this thread. i weant you people to help me with my 1000 birds layer which are 23 weeks by Monday 18th January but their eggs drop is 50 eggs yesterday and 47 a day before.
Actually they have started laying on 27th Dec, 2015 with just one egg. they kept increasing it by just 3 to 4 eggs every day. Now they reached 50. please is there no problem at 23 weeks? NB: i give them animal care feed 4 bags every day untill 2 days ago i increased to 5 bags. the birds are from Zartech brown.

@Robonski, i have just finished talking to your manager about supply of Juveniles to my farm in Bauchi. Please find out how much i will pay if you are transporting 5000 juveniles/fingerlings to bauchi.

My question goes to Soft777 and other Gurus. Please many of us here apart from the problem of formulating the feed, we also have the problem of making the feed float.
what extruder machine do you recommend can make our feed float after formulating so as to avoid feed wastage and frequent contamination of water?

please i want to start formulating my feed considering the high cost of fish feed nowadays and the ingredients are no issues to me as i have them in abundance (I farm most of them except fish meal). My problem is the machine to use and the problem of making it float.
I have been browsing to find out which machine will be suitable and at affordable price. but i just cant buy a machine without knowing full well how it works. if possible i have to see and hear from someone who uses it.
please any input on how my problem can be solved?

please who knows something about INSTITUTE FOR OCEANOGRAPHY AND MARINE RESEARCH? where is it located what assistant do they give to fish farmers as regards training? I want to go there if possible to acquire knowledge on small scale fish feed mill. i want to establish the mill in Bauchi mainly for fish farmers in my areas also because i want to stock 25,000 juveniles in March next year. please help me with suggestions on how and where to get training and necessary machines.

I read about these heaters on this thread. when i visited the site of Mr. Heater i found these pictures as seen below. please poultry farmers any one who used this heater before is it advisable to use it in brooding house? what fuel does it use?
if it is advisable please how and where can i get it?

Thank you so much for your concern. As for the temperature spread, i have taken care of it now they don't form clusters. In fact the little birds are doing very well as of today their third day.

i am presently constructing a new house for broilers, 40feet by 12 feet to accommodate 500 birds. work has started today.

My farm has welcome 1000 new DOC from ZARTECH yesterday around 9:00 PM. They are doing well so far but 5 have arrived dead. this morning, i found 3 dead ones. I have employed someone who is experienced in brooding to be taking care of them for two months. i have introduced Animal care CHICK MASH. They have taken glucose water on arrival, and vitalyte water this morning.

I want my colleagues here to help describe a reliable formula for me to use because i have little knoledge on that. i have soya beans cage, GNC, fish meal available.

Spend money on things that will bring money into ur business. It is not time to buy those shiny objects to show off. Avoid waste as much as possible.
Now that this money with help us launch our businesses higher, we must ensure that we have enough working capital. It is d lack of enough working capital that was responsible for many failures of past YouWiN awardees. Plan ur operations very well and allocate ur resources wisely. Expand carefully. Ensure that u have enough money to carry our d day to day running of ur business.
We must endeavour to put everything we plan to do on paper. Do not depend on ur brain however good ur memory is. And keep d paper handy. Keep records properly. Collect receipts for every expense. For those that cannot be receipted for, ur payment voucher will cover for those. If u have not printed ur payment voucher please get it done quickly. Good morning every one in this thread. All protocols duly observed. With regards to all masters and ogas in the house i beg your pardon to introduce myself to the house as this is the first time i am commenting on this thread.
I am a Fish farmer from Bauchi with 1 and half years experience. When i started, one man helped me bought juvenile from Abuja. secondly from Minna. and thirdly from bauchi. So i began to understand that some fish used to do better than others in terms of quick growth and healthiness. currently the fish i have in my farm were bought from Minna, they are more than five months in my ponds but not up to 500g. I decided to hatch in my farm this time around that i want to stock again for the fifth time.
Now i want you guys to help me in getting good broodstocks that can yield fast growing and healthy fingerlings to start my first hatching in my farm. secondly, i want to stock 3000 juveniles before my hatched ones grow up to ensure continuity of supply to my customers. so where and how can i get those good juveniles that can grow within 4 months all conditions being equal.
lastly i want to attend hatching training if i can have one.

i want to have a housing that can serve as a deep litter for my day old birds and when they become fully grown, i will put in battery cages in the same house. please help me with dimensions designs preferably with pictures.

it is true that some ppl from North East have rcvd alert. two friends told me they received their alerts both on friday. one of they said they refused to allow him withdraw due to referee problem.

While i go with the opinion of getting a forum that can hook up all youwin three awardees, i still have to point out that Nairaland is very good in that all comments and replies are grouped in pages so previous discussions can be referred to at any given time without much hurdles.
i have been thinking of creating closed facebook group strictly for youwin3, but can it give us the advantage of ease of access to previous discussions like Nairaland?
Facebook has its own advantage though, only a member of the group can post comment hence unnecessary adverts and politics can be avoided. Also, existing members of the group can send invites to other awardees not in the group.
we have to chose one of the two (just my suggestion) looking at their advantages and disadvantages.
unifying forum is very necessary for the success of our businesses. that is why youwin1 has its own facebook group. but for us to have the cooperaton of all 1500 awardees we have to work for it because some awardees dont even know what we are doing here( they may be up to 80%).
so state by state we have to delegate people to contact their fellow awardees in their states to enlighten them about the importance of the forum and tell them how to join it.
we have to do this before it is late because once the money comes in, we starts facing one problem or the other which our fellow awardee can simply solve, but because we have no medium of passing it out it becomes too expensive.

you all should take into cognizance that youwin sec has changed its way of doing things, as they say they have right to do at any time. youwin3 is never like youwin1 nor youwin2.
my believe is, just about anything can happen. i even have strong believe that even the method of monitoring will be different as well as the kind of reports to be sent by monitors. youwin has really learned its lessons from 1 and 2 just the way awardees of 1 and 2 learned their lessons.
My simple advice is, if you have any awardee from 1 or 2, try to understand their mistakes with the view of avoiding them happening to you.
secondly, for those that have the thinking of buying luxury cars, building houses, marrying first or second wife, going to mecca, or even running away to Dubai or Malaysia with youwin money, they should please think twice because sec has set up all necessary steps to stop such occurrences. All these things i mentioned have happened in youwin1 and 2.
by the way, we youwin3 have no reason to make fatal mistakes as we have predecessors from whom we learned lessons.
