Hello guys, Please who knows how much it costs for medical at IOM Lagos? Also what's the fastest way to book an appointment for someone who's not in Lagos. Tried via their website it wasn't going through. Their numbers aren't reachable |

Chizzyvivian: Good day all,
I submitted my visa application 20th April 2023. 21st June I received s56 Request to provide updated CoE as the one submitted had expired. 23rd June New CoE uploaded. But I am yet to hear from them, my portal still shows Further Assessment. Please have anyone experienced this? How long does it take after document have been provided? I’m really worried. The new COE when will your course start. If it's over 3 months it could be the cause for the delay |

BlezinR: Hello people.
YOUR TIMELY SUGGESTIONS WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED.
I logged my visa 4weeks ago. However, classes have already started this June. Is it advisable to defer to September intake or join the June class online?. Because it is kind of worrisome that some persons that logged 7weeks ago are still awaiting a decision. Mine is 4weeks. Also, how feasible is the online class for someone who is still working Lastly, would joining online the trimester that has already started put one under a lot of pressure when a visa decision is ready as per travelling plans, getting a job upon arrival, etc. or is it safer to defer? Your responses would be highly appreciated. Your best option is to defer and get a new COE and update immigration with it immediately. Waiting time is very long nowadays. When someone starts online and they get a refusal, they are most likely not going to get their initial deposit back. |

lomaxx: If you have a dollar card, you can make transactions in usd. Not sure naira Mastercards will work. Better still, change naira to usd (cash) at MM1 before you board. I think it’s generally better generally to change all naira to usd before traveling at MM1. Not sure you’d be able to make that swap once you take off.
There are lounges at Doha, if you need some time off. Careful not to sleep off though so you don’t miss the next flight. Thanks a lot. Please do you know the kind of plug I will have access to on flight to charge my phone. I have 3 pin adapter I don't know if it's suitable as I don't plan to travel with power bank. |

lomaxx: Doha has the best transit experience (for me, so far). No payments or anything so far as you remain in the transit area. When you get to Doha, identify the boarding gate to Melbourne for the next flight. If you have time, there is lots of things to either buy or eat in the transit area. My last flight was Lagos-Doha-Melbourne-Sydney. I'm sure you'll find it fun. What currency can one use for transactions, also can one have a bathe for a 20 hours layover |

Ziocplc01: Please I want to ask this questions: Firstly, I applied for masters by coursework and got 20% scholarship with accommodation scholarship too, but my agent said he wants to reapply for me in same school for masters in research that it always comes with a better scholarship sometimes full scholarship or so, pls how true is this cos i will pay for another application fee.
Secondly, please I’m asked to write for PTE, I haven’t heard of this before, and I don’t understand why Australia school didn’t ask for English proficiency but their embassy is asking for one. Is there a way out of this? I even did undergraduate studies in UK school. Aren't you meant to have a supervisor for masters by research or he's going to find one for you as well? Why didn't he apply for it straight away without going through the hassle of masters by coursework. Be sure he's not trying to rip you off with another application fee. A lot of people have applied for visa without IELTS, unless it's a new rule I'm not aware of. If your school offered admission without ielts, you can as well apply for visa without it. I used IELTS for mine because I had it, I also know people who did without IELTS |

denzel231: Thanks brother for the response. What can someone even study in 3 months ?
Lastly can I also get a PR if my wife gets one?
What's the criteria of getting a PR? If you want to study, you need to apply for a study visa separately for yourself. The 3 months cap applies only if you want to study on your dependent visa status |

I applied for my Australian student visa 7 wks ago and it says further assessment is ongoing. Has anyone else experienced this recently in their application and what was the outcome and duration it took to get a finalized decision.
Thank you and I appreciate your response. There are 2 assessment stages, initial and further assessment. So it's perfectly normal. Response time is between 7 to 8 weeks, it can get as long as 9 weeks. All the best |

The fear of leaving my kids behind is weakening me. Have you applied already? Afeer 6 months you need to apply for subsequent entrant visa, from records on this thread it can take upto 3 months, but the good news is that they value family and you will eventually reunite. I'm in your shoes, we have to do what we have to do. It's not easy at all |

Your Enrollment day also matters as a friend who we almost submitted same time got his own within four weeks as his enrollment date is closer than mine.
Good luck to everyone waiting Thanks a lot, the timeline for February applicants was 7 to 8 weeks. So far, no one who applied in March has gotten, for those that applied from Nigeria, from 1st day of March till now is over 8 weeks. It's well |

Please is there any one who applied to level 1 school and didn't submit their Sponsors statement of account during visa application and got their visa approved? It's not in the list of documents to submit in immi website checklist for my school, although some persons are saying that you need to submit it regardless.
My agent advised we don't submit it that there's no point since it wasn't specified.
Please note that I submitted this document for admission application
Please what do you guys think? |

NB1912: The Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statement is different from the Statement of Purpose (SOP) for Australian student visa applications.
The GTE statement is a requirement for all students who wish to study in Australia, and it is used to assess whether you are a genuine temporary entrant. This means that you genuinely intend to study in Australia temporarily and will return to your home country after completing your studies. The GTE statement requires you to provide information about your personal circumstances, your reasons for studying in Australia, your previous study and work experience, and your future plans.
On the other hand, the Statement of Purpose (SOP) is a document that outlines your academic and professional goals, as well as your reasons for choosing a particular course and institution in Australia. It may also include information about your background, achievements, and skills.
Both the GTE statement and the SOP are important for Australian student visa applications. The GTE statement is important because it is used to assess your genuine intention to study in Australia temporarily, which is a key requirement for obtaining a student visa. The SOP is important because it provides information about your academic and professional goals, which can help the visa officer to assess whether you are a good fit for the chosen course and institution.
Note that the GTE statement and SOP can be combined as one statement when applying for visa. You must structure it in a way that makes sense to the reader. Thanks a lot |

Good evening everyone, Please can someone help me because I'm honestly confused, I have gotten admission about to Lodge visa. My agent stated that the GTE statement I used in securing admission is not needed for visa application, that I need to do a statement of purpose. Please note that the GTE statement I used for admission was according to the template provided by the school.
Now he's saying I don't need that particular one for visa application, that I just need to do a statement of purpose. When I checked the requirements in immi website, it stated that I need to do a statement stating that i Intend to stay temporarily with the necessary evidences attached.
Whereas some other persons (e.g a vloger on YouTube) is saying that one need to submit the GTE statement, and another statement of purpose.
Please you guys should help me and clarify, I have come too far to make mistakes now. For those who got their grants recently, did you submit the GTE statement used for admission application in the template provided by the school and another statement of purpose? My agent is experienced but I don't want to rely solely on him.
Please help me guys and clarify.
Thanks a lot in advance |
