The point is not to stop internship but to curtail reliance on interns which have become the order of the day in many public hospitals! Patients should never be left solely under the care of interns!

I know what why I raised this alarm! It is now becoming a norm for many hospitals to rely on these students! Many of them seldom employ fully licenced staff who are meant to train the interns but keep employing interns from year to year. Most times, these interns don't get the expected training and mentorship for the purpose of which they were required to undergo internships!

Someone went to medical school for 8-9 years,graduated from the university
And begins working as a house officer and you call him a student.
Amaze me.

The itching not responding means that the drug was not sensitive or you had a re infection
You will need the permethrin cream as I said earlier
You will wash and iron all your clothing
Sundry your bed and every area you use frequently
It's not staph that is causing that itchy swelling

Staph doesn't itch or swell? I already treated scabs but the itching was just not responding to treatment

If you were diagnosed with scabies in the hospital you need to go back
You will be needing permethrin cream alongside
The staph isn't what is making you itch + the swellings

You need 1gm of ceftriazone for the gonorrhea
The staph you need to do a culture so they know which antibiotic it's sensitive to(it's a stubborn bacteria).

Sorry about that ,Most likely you have gotten HSV-2
Now note ;it is not curable
Treatment Goals are basically to stop outbreaks and provide symptomatic relief
Drugs of choice are either acyclovir and valgancycolovir
Taking the drugs will keep the virus in a latent phase
You will only get an outbreak when they is a reactivation due to stress, immunosuppression etc
In all they is nothing you have to worry about ,once you notice any painful blistering wounds you take the above drugs and get back to normal

I’m a medical school aspirant. I scored 275 in this year’s post utme and I choose lautech as my choice of institution.
The problem I have now is that LAUTECH just announced today that they are not going to conduct post UTME this year.Instead, they’ll use SSCE result for this year’s admission screening.
I’ve asked friends and some other LAUTECH students to help me calculate my aggregate score and it’s just 65 points instead of 80+ points for medicine. Pls I need advice on the school that I can choose as my choice of institution that’ll SURELY offer me medicine and surgery. With the below SSCE(NECO) and jamb result. I’ll really appreciate your inputs bosses. Help a boy pls �. (pls ignore the typographical errors)

Stress can cause it
Some cardiac pathologies like Arrhythmias can precipitate it
A sympathetic surge can ,maybe triggered by some of your emotions
Visit a cardiologist,get An ECG done

BDS in unical is quite stressful,you do exactly thesame thing with medicine students from yr1-4
After that you go your separate paths.
Unical currently have 600l BDS students
They are about to produce their first set of graduates.

Yes sir ,you just apply through jamb and then buy their post UTME screening form
They don't conduct exams for DE aspirants
2,1 or first class puts you at a higher chance
.......it's Nigeria so somehow you should know people .
