Christianity Etc › Re: Satanic Temple Set For Largest Gathering In History by mariovito(m): 6:53am On Jan 11, 2023
I agree with 3. Some might have come to believe in a literal Satan, while some may have joined because of their belief in a literal Satan, notwithstanding, the original idea between Satanism and church of Satan was more as a parody. But then, who are we to pass verdicts on people because they choose to believe in a literal Satan?

Kobojunkie:
1. Sure! undecided

2. You forget the hijab wearers are also masked in the name of religion. lipsrsealed

3. I doubt they are all atheists as I have met several who in fact seem to believe in a the idea. undecided

Lead to what?

Everyone is free to practice religion of choice. And any ritual that doesn't break any law or lead to commission of crime can't be stopped.

So because they will be wearing masks what now happen?

Is this the first time the people of the locality will be seeing or wearing makes? Halloween was barely two months ago.

Let me tell, Satanists are just a sect of atheists who use the supposed belief in Satan to challenge other organized religion.

Nazgul:
This one they're saying they would put on masks are the locals safe?

I understand the Boston city council's fears, a gathering of that magnitude on masks in the night can lead to something else.

Did you mean to mention Zenith, because is best in leaving you stranded at the junction. From their ATM cards, to USSd. I had to only use zenith as savings while I use Uba for my day to day transactions.

Depends on when I have breakfast. If I have breakfast as early as 8 or 9 am, then I'll eat between 3 to 4 times, but if breakfast lingers till brunch, then its 2 times.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Why Russia Is Militarily More Successful Than America by mariovito(m): 10:07pm On Jan 02, 2023
You made some valid points.

Armament is big business in America.

They'll rather keep suffering shootouts than rein in their guns. Gun money is big money. So even to their standard issue weapons. While the American weapons like the m16 are way overpriced and fancy, the Russian Ak47 and its variants are cheap to produce and also efficient.

So the Americans actually need these wars (whether they lose doesn't matter) sometime to destabilize other countries they may perceive as threats, or to enable them have unfettered access to these destabilized nation's natural resources like the lifting of crude after they destabilized Libya.

In response to your comment, I wish to state as follows:
1. The Pastor doesn't really owe the imprisoned man any fidelity, the woman does.

2. Nature abhors vacuum.

3. If it wasn't the pastor, someone else would have done it.
Thank you.

That's still no reason for stooping so low.

Watched it once then deleted.

I agree with you, they should cast real Africans in African roles. Then what was that generic African accent for? It bored the shit out of me.
Even the king who is Nigerian mispronouncing Oyo.

Angelfrost:
For some weird reason, that movie failed to fly with me...!

Maybe if they had cast a proper African in the lead role, it would have been better.

Americans imitating Africans in movies just pisses me off.

Islam › Re: Can Muslim Perform A Special Prayer/tahaajud On The Last Day Of The Year ? by mariovito(m): 9:43am On Dec 30, 2022
Will "global renaissance" be synonymous with jihad?

Saifullah01:
I think it's about "sticking to basics" and avoiding innovation in religion. Overtime that's how previous religions from God were lost to cultural practices and idiosyncrasies of the dominant civilization of the time.

That is one unique feature of Islam, The Quran an sunna are sacrosanct, and no matter how over time teachings of Islam are mixed with culture, there always come a generational renaissance that can tap into the most earliest sources of Islam (Quran and SunnaH) and return to the basics.

If you look carefully we are in the middle of a global renaissance.
