I think step 1 and step 2ck are valid for about seven years or so.

I started reading this new manga yesterday called Get Backers. It started out slow, but it's getting really interesting... even though I'm someone that finds it hard to take ecchi seriously.

It's no masterpiece, but it's worth checking out, especially if you're bored.

Getting residency isn't as hard as you think. Nigerian trained doctors have been doing it for years, so your case shouldn't be different.

I like that you're planning out your future early. A little bit of advice: When you get into med school, try to get your hands on as many scholarships as you can. You can get as many as four awards if you know what you're doing...and that's a lot of money. I'm just telling you this so you can have an easy time in med school while saving up for the PLAB/UKMLA/USMLE exams. I know some people that paid for their exams this way.

Season 3 was trash IMO.

For me, the only positive thing about season 3 was the animation. Besides that, I think it's overrated. I legit had to force myself to finish it. And the ending was shit too.

Currently reading Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals. It's a spin-off of the main series and is set 5 years. It follows a guy named Koichi who teams up with quirkless badass, Knuckleduster and a wannabe musician, Pop Step to solve street-level crime as vigilantes.

I'd put it on par with the main series. While it's story arcs aren't quite as engaging, I find the characterization of its the cast it introduces to be more nuanced. Koichi is less of a bleeding heart protagonist than Deku. He and Pop Step (who are obviously the one true ship) actually play off each other really well and actually seen to have genuine chemistry. Knuckleduster has an interesting backstory and even supporting characters like Makoto and Captain Celebrity have more depth than you'd originally think.

It's not without flaws though. I feel like it is a little hit or miss with characters from the main series that appear here. All Might didn't have to meet Tsukauchi in this series because their friendship in the main series makes less sense when they've only known each other for five years. I also think that Stain was handled poorly. However, Ingenium, Aizawa, and Midnight were all handled well (even though Midnight has strong pedo vibes).

All in all, if you like the main series chances are that you'll like this one too.

Your summary is on point. I actually prefer Koichi to Deku as an MC. I hope he makes an appearance in the main series someday. And yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed Midnight weird vibes (how the hell is she a hero lol).

I love the way the plot ties in with the main series. For example, the Aizawa and Present Mic reveal.

I feel like the series is coming to an end, though.

I heard about Kengan Asura a while ago. I tried to watch the anime, but I couldn't get into it... mainly because of the CGI. But now I'm reading the manga and I'm loving it.

I think these days I'll just stick to manga and leave their anime adaptations.

Anyone that doesn't like JJBA is a secret descendant of Dio. That said, part 3 is by far the weakest part and felt like a bunch of filler episodes.

I don't think I've met anyone (in real life) that has watched JJBA and didn't like it. That said, it's definitely not the anime I'd recommend for a non-anime fan I'm trying to convert

I dropped it after 6 episodes or so. I agree the premise was great, but after a couple of episodes I still wasn't feeling it. The villain's motivation was kind of stupid sef imo. But the main thing that made me to drop it was the way the other MC was always shouting . I hate loud characters. That's the same reason I can't watch Black Clover.

try fate zero and fate unlimited bladeworks. it also has badass characters and a tournament vibe. also read tower of god manhwa. the first season's art is pretty meh but trust me, it gets better

SIU is criminally underrated for someone that releases very long chapters of such quality every single week

Tachiyomi is the best manga app on Android in my opinion. Once you install it and get the right plugins you can find basically manga, manhua, or western comic without too much stress.

Tachiyomi is the best right now, but Mangarock was better imo. Too bad they shut it down. It had the best UI and you didn't need to download plugins.

I heard they had limited episodes to work with. At least a good studio is handling it and a Korean director is in charge so I think it's in good hands. Too bad Tog didn't get the same treatment.

Why do you guys hate the concept of friendship? I hated in fairy tail cause it gave them power but that's it on a normal there's nothing wrong with friendship in any form of media.

The funny part is that there was none of that bs in the source material of Tower of god.

Are there any other hidden gems out there? I'm looking for something that isn't just a power fantasy. Something more along the lines of Tower of God and Unordinary.

For non power fantasy manhwa, the only recommendations I have are :
-Special martial arts extreme hell private high school: You should definitely read this. The author is very crazy but in a good way.

-Hive: It's about a guy that is trying to reunite with is family when the world is invaded by giant insects. It's really good.

-Fight Class 3: this is a very low key hidden gem. It's not that great but it's definitely something you should try if you're bored.


I can't remember any other manhwa that's not a power fantasy cos those kind of stories are really hard to find. If you find more, please drop them here.

Bam was never a simp in the first place. Maybe you guys feel he is cause the anime has been portraying him quite poorly imo.

Before coming into the tower, Rachel was like his mother, older sister and best friend. She was literally the only person he knew. She taught him everything he knows, how to read, how to write etc. It makes sense for him to care about her a lot.

From my perspective (as a webtoon reader) the anime is really lacking as an adaptation. They've cut out so much stuff that it's not even funny. And it's not just the cuts. They actually go out of their way to water down scenes to make them more generic. Maybe they're trying to make the show more acceptable to the Japanese audience or something, I honestly don't know.

For example, the scene with Bam vs the Bull never happened that way in the webtoon. They changed something that was so perfect, to a generic MC power up out of nowhere. I honestly don't know where they got that bs from.

My only advice for anyone that is interested in the show is to read the webtoon from the beginning .
