I don't have any problems with wanting better formatting options because I want those too, NL would benefit from spoiler tags and ability to blur images unless opened, that would give everyone more freedom to use the website.

What I do have a problem with is you guys' initial overreaction to something so miniscule, that ultimately came to a massive waste of time and effort as the guy just quietly ignored all of you out of spite as donwizzy7 noticed. Not only was the result counterproductive, absolutely nothing was achieved from the endless ranting. If you asked him to tone it down the "issue" would've been solved quickly and easily.

My entire point is that we should handle these things calmly, we're not children.

As we're not children this whole thing shouldn't have happened in the first place. But it did because the poster is very immature. Asking them to tone it down wouldn't have worked because they'd just ignore that too.

And I don't care whether the poster comments or not cos we've gotten our point across . This whole "overreaction" should also serve as a warning to any other person that feels like posting NSFW content here without regard for others.

NoonMasamune and CoolUsername have suggested ways to go about this issue. And CoolUsername username also suggested reporting anyone that still goes ahead to post innappropriate content here, so obviously something was achieved from the endless ranting.

This is just one guy and he's posted stuff like this before, he won't go further than screenshots/fanart, to me it's just overkill to pump out 3 pages of complaints for something that trivial, it gave me false hope thinking that you people were talking about something interesting.

Guy chill abeg. Don't we have the right to complain? Don't we have the right to choose what we want to see? I don't know how you can't understand why it is annoying for some people when they open nairaland and what they get is lewd images of anime characters. If I wanted to see such content, I know exactly where to find loads of it. This isn't the appropriate place for such so the poster is clearly in the wrong here. And like the other guy said, it's only a matter of time before more people join and make this place totally NSFW. I've seen it happen before, so it's best to contain it before it gets out of hand.

It's not like we're saying people can't post whatever they want (as long as it's anime related). We're just saying we should be able to choose whether we want to see NSFW content or not. It's that simple. I don't know why you're bothered about that.

I have faith in this adaptation. The studio is Mappa and I heard the director is actually a Korean (the source material is Korean). So I think it's in good hands

You're missing the point. Some people don't want to view NSFW content in public. The poster should be aware of this, yet they still post NSFW content in this thread that isn't meant for such. If you even bothered to read nairaland rules, you'd know that they're in the wrong here. I don't get why you're defending this person.

Except this site has no way of hiding NSFW content unless you choose to see it. you can do that on whatsapp and Discord instead, or create another group for it. Some people are browsing nairaland in their workplace so consideration should be given.

You're right. It's too bad that the person posting those things is well aware of this but still chooses to be immature. I wish nairaland was more like reddit honestly.

7.3 is a poor score ... Even some dumb shows manage to score up to 8 so don't be deceived.

Thanks for this recommendation. I've watched season 1 and I'd rate it 8/10. It reminded me of mob psycho 100, so I think anybody that liked it should check this one out.

I was skeptical because it was Chinese so I didn't expect to enjoy it at all. I think I'll look for more Chinese anime from now on.

sigh I still wonder why they changed the studio. You know an adaptation is bad when you prefer the fight scenes in the manga to the ones in the anime.

I like Bakugo too but my favorite is Endeavor. I don't like Deku though

Character-wise, his demeanor is one of the best in the series. He can be compared with everyone you mentioned. Strength-wise, he's amazing too, no doubt. The problem lies with his fanbois that will put over characters he doesn't hold a candle to canonically and logically. Just like how opm fans will say Saitama can solo all of fiction with a single punch.

You have no idea how much I want this anime to be good but they've butchered the plot just they want to get to that very particular point of the story (I'm sure you know the point I'm talking about) for the season finale.

The showrunners are too ambitious. You can't cram 90-something chapters worth of story into 12 episodes without sacrificing its quality.

I just hope that it pays off in the end.

Honestly TOG deserves way better.
When I first heard TOG was getting an anime adaptation, I thought it was too good to be true. But then, I was a little bit scared that they'd ruin it and now it seems like my fears are coming true.
I really wanted the show to be successful but now I've lowered my expectations. I just hope it'll get a season 2 and it'll be done right.

I get that they had just 13 episodes to work with but they keep changing a lot of things and adding unnecessary stuff . For instance, in the latest episode, instead of that pillow scene with lauroe, they could have kept the scene where the instructor explained how shinsu works. That scene was really important but they just cut it I just hope they find a way to add it cos without it, a lot of people will be confused. And now the Tag test. They're really doing Quant dirty.

I haven't read the manga or Webtoon and I still agree with you.

From the first episode, I have been confused with many things.

It wasnt till episode 6 and 7 that they explained the princesses of Jahad.

The whole thing feels rushed and shoehorned.

Everyone should watch Kengan Ashura and see how a backstory is given to events. Before the tournament is shown in Kengan Ashura, the MC was introduced as a strong guy in a fighting scene. Then, A CEO explained the whole reason for the fighting tournament. The tournament is the main event in the series but it was given so much backstory that one is invested in its turnout.

I feel no suspense when it comes to climbing the tower in Tower of God. There are so many rules that are not even explained yet. Some people fail tests and are eliminated, some are not......

Thos anime is making my spirit weak

When I first read the webtoon, I was seriously confused at first . But that's how it's supposed to be. You're thrown into the tower just like Bam with zero information about anything, and things are revealed slowly.
I almost dropped it many times but I kept on going and I'm glad I did.

But as for the adaptation, everything just feels rushed and they keep cutting out some important scenes just to make anime-only scenes that aren't necessary. It's really annoying

After watching the most recent episode of Tower of god, I've finally given up on the anime. I've been having issues with the way they've been changing the characters and cutting some scenes but today's episode was on another level.
The Tag test looks nothing like it was in the webtoon. At this point in the webtoon, we see how scary and powerful a Ranker can be. But Quant just remained goofy in the anime. They haven't even taken the time to explain shinsu in the anime yet they keep adding some anime-only scenes that aren't really necessary.

Anaak seems to be the only character that is portrayed correctly. Khun is quite different (and the keep using him and Bam as fujoshi bait for some reason), Yuri just seems like a bully, even Hoh and Rachel feel different.

If you're an anime only and you're interested in the show, I think you should read the webtoon also to see what it's really about. The art weird at first but it gets better later on.
