Members of the Edo state chapter of the College of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU), blocked the gate of the Edo State Government House, to protest the non-payment of their salaries. President of the union, Comrade Fred Omonuwa explained the plight of his colleagues to Leadership Newspapers. He said "We are here because the issue that brought us two weeks ago has not been addressed. In fact, there is a deceit going on here because we learnt that money was given to the managers of the school but we wondered why the government is not asking questions over what happened to the money. Are we not citizens of Edo State?" “Some of us have not been paid between five to six months as the case may be. “Our children cannot celebrate the Christmas; we cannot afford to provide for them. We don’t even know how we are going to pay our children’s school fee come January 2016. “We are here to call on the general public to appeal to the governor to pay our salaries. All attempts to reach the governor has failed, we need him to talk to us about the issue. We are not happy,” Omonuwa said. You will recall that Governor Adams Oshiomhole said he will not hesitate to join Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) to protest against any Governor who refuse to pay the N18,000 minimum wage. Former Chelsea and Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti believes a lack of motivation among Chelsea players led to the team’s poor form before the sacking of Jose Mourinho. The goal.com correspondent suggested Chelsea players relaxed too much in the league which led to their poor form and subsequent sacking of Mourinho. Chelsea were crowned English champions last season which they totally dominated but find themselves just four points above the relegation zone after last weekend’s 3 – 1 win over Sunderland. Ancelotti told Goal.com: “That is the most difficult job for a coach because within a group, both one that is doing well and one that is doing badly, there are always problems to resolve. Is this a new down in Nigeria or is it a smoke screen that we will later find out the main reason behind all this fuse? Anyone it is, lets just enjoy the ride. Police sack police for corruption? Ife adigo mma. Read below................. The Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase has disclosed that 50 police officers have been dismissed for corrupt practices and misconduct, and 56 others sanctioned for various offences between May and November, 2015. Arase stated this during the end of the year IG Conference at the Force Headquarters, Abuja on Thursday, Dec. 17. He added that 3000 officers were deployed to the North-East as part of efforts in ensuring peace in the zone. He said, “Between May and November, 2015, the anti-corruption enforcement architecture emplaced by the Force leadership has led to the dismissal of a total of 50 personnel for proven corrupt practices while another 56 have been awarded various punishments. “The IGP Monitoring Unit, X-Squad and the Provost Marshal have been charged to sustain the enforcement drive in the upcoming year while the policy of holding Commissioners of Police, Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers, vicariously liable for such distasteful professional misconduct will also be reinforced.” Also, the IG has commissioned a scholarship award for officers' children, numbering 301, who lost their lives in the line of duty and for those who have excelled in their various duty posts. He called on philanthropists and corporate organisations to support the foundation which he said would also cater for children of victims of police brutality. “The Force leadership will profoundly reward the families of serving police officers that keep faith with our vision for a professional, discipline, civil, loyal and incorruptible Police Force in a way that will motivate them for higher performance. United States President, Barack Obama has appointed a Nigerian national Adewale Adeyemo, to succeed Caroline Atkinson as his deputy national security adviser for international economic affair, The Wall Street Journal reports. Adewale "Wally" Adeyemo,34, joined the White House's National Economic Council as deputy director this fall from the Treasury, where he served most recently as the deputy chief of staff to Secretary Jacob Lew. Ms. Atkinson has served in her current post since June 2013, a position that includes coordinating U.S. participation in the annual summits of the Group of 20 and Group of Seven countries. Ms. Atkinson also played key roles in the recently concluded climate negotiations in Paris. Mr. Adeyemo was the Treasury’s lead negotiator on the currency agreement that was part of the Pacific trade deal. He also worked on Treasury’s response to crises in Ukraine and Greece and in 2010 was one of the first officials charged with standing up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. In a statement, Mr. Obama thanked Ms. Atkinson for her service and said he was grateful that Mr. Adeyemo would carry on her work. Mr. Adeyemo had been nominated by Mr. Obama to serve as assistant Treasury secretary for international markets and development, but a White House official said Mr. Adeyemo had asked the president to withdraw the nomination given his new role. Hmmm, i don't know were this country is heading to ooo my brothers and sisters. Is it that everything waited for APC government to take over before it crashed? or is it that the government of the day don't know what they are doing? Which one is it? Because i can't fathom the reason they cannot pay common N18,000 for minimum wage again while one person dey carry &2bm chop, others they carry $600m, $500, including the one way i hear say on female blogger chop way be N240m. I no that one na lie sha, but my people, what is really the problem? Imagine the picture above, according to Collin Udoh, players of Premier League club FC Taraba spent Monday night outside the Government House to demand payment of 11 month wages. This is not the first time the players has resorted to stringent measures to make their demands. On Friday, December 4, the players closed the gate of the Government House. They were seen carrying placards that reads: "We are dying, give us our 12 months salaries" What is this my people? Are we that poor? Jesus Christ. Well, am really sorry for those civil servants that works for government. Am really sorry. This is the first locally build Helicopter and this was made possible by mr. Paul Onah. From Oyo State. He was interviewed by Naij team and the following is the excerpts: Could you please tell us about yourself in details? My name is Paul Onah. I am 35 years old. I am married with 2 children. I am from Benue state. I am a Welder by profession as well as a Panel Beater. I came from Benue state several years ago before I came to settle to here in Jobele. You are here standing beside your locally-built helicopter. Tell us how it all began with the helicopter Thank you very much. The idea to build my helicopter actually started 5 years ago when God first inspired me to invent an airplane. I initially did not understand this because I never understood it was God who was speaking to me in my dream. I only heard a voice and was a bit confused. However, in 2012, my late father who died several years ago appeared to me in my dream and told me to build a helicopter. After waking up in the morning of that day, I asked myself, how will I build an airplane when I have never come in contact or touched an aeroplane before in my life? As you are seeing me, I have never been to an airport before. Likewise, I had no money then that would enable embark on the project. It was not until I told my lovely wife that I was finally convinced and encouraged that this project will come to see the light of the day. Hmmmm ……. This is not a joke. Lagos single girls love the good life. They are always on the look out for opportunities to advance personal goals. They visit places where they are sure of quality network. For the rookies, we bring you ten strategic places you should avoid because the guys there are also hustlers like you hahahahah, na true talk be this ooo as compiled by Naij.com 1. Oshodi Under Bridge: Nothing good can ever come out of Oshodi under bridge. The place is home to hoodlums and deceivers. Please beware of men seeking your attention in this place. 2. Career Fairs: Whoever you meet there is as broke and is still in searching for job like you. The average financially stable person there is the host and they are always known as married men. So babes shine your eyes. 3. Ozone Cinema Yaba: You will only find Yabatech and Unilag ‘boys’ (yes, boys) with carrot jeans and Timberland roaming around pretending to be boys when in fact they are mummy’s boys. The chances of meeting a potential husband is very slim. Just don’t bother to waste your time. 4. All Under Bridge Names: Names of places that contain bridge like Ojuelegba Under Bridge, Ikeja Under Bridge, Ijora- 7up Under Bridge and so on are nothing good to write home about. Babe, be on your ten toes when find in those places. 5. Computer Village: You might end up loosing your belonging or a vital part of your body trying to find a promising man there, be wise like an Owl. 6. MTN Centers: Funny enough, most visited customers of MTN are those poor stricken guys who will borrow N50, from MTN and are credited with N45. The next day, they rush to MTN Customer Care Center to lay complain about missing N5. Meeting a husband there must be through the power of the Holy Spirit. 7. All the bus stops on Mainland are not the good places to meet a potential boyfriend not to talk of a dream husband. The moment you descend from 3rd Mainland Bridge towards the Lagos Mainland axis, babe ignore every stranger that says “Hi” and run for your dear life. Only 10 years in jail"? That a slap on the wrist and he knows it |
The police in Lagos have arrested a 15-year-old boy, Sodiq Isa, for allegedly beating his 26 year old neighbour, Johnson Adeboye, to death with a stick. It was learnt that Adeboye had complained that Sodiq was making a noise with a plate, Sodiq insulted the deceased which led to a fight and Sodiq allegedly beat the deceased to death with a stick. The incident happened on December 5th on Townhall Street in the Amukoko area of Lagos. The suspect said Adeboye, a Keke Marwa (tricycle) driver had attacked him first. He narrated: “I was returning from Arabic school at about 5pm that day. The plate I used in taking food to school fell from my hands. I picked it up and went to a shop close by to clean it up. “There was a table in front of the shop; so, I hit the plate on the table to remove the sand inside the plate. Johnson (Adeboye) was in front of the shop, and he told me that I was making a noise with it. “I told him I was only trying to clean up the sand in the plate. He asked me if I was mad, that why should I be talking to him like that. I responded and told him I was not mad. He warned me that if I continued to talk back at him, he would beat me up. I ignored his threat and walked home.” He added that the victim followed him home and continued the threat. He said his grandma, who was at home at the time, asked him what the matter was. “Johnson came from behind and started beating me. Some people around separated us and he left, but he returned some minutes later to assault me again. “People separated us for the second time, but he went to call one of his friends. Both of them started assaulting me. “It was at this point that I felt the urge to defend myself. I picked a stick on the ground and hit Johnson on the head. Immediately, he fell and became unconscious. Neighbours gathered and rushed him to the hospital. But it was too late as he was already dead,” he added. - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/12/a-15-years-old-boy-beats-26-year-old.html#sthash.Z0d10DnH.dpuf cc lalasticlala ishilove mynd44

Nollywood actress and producer, Georgina Onuoha is not happy with fans at the moment. The mother of two has been receiving back-lashes from some of her fans on social media over her failed marriage. When she couldn’t take it any longer, she decided to voice out through her latest Instagram post. The pretty actress shared the picture of one of her critics by name Vivain Rowland and wrote. “Face of a monkey drinking panadol over my marriage. Wanna be cow/goat is having a headache as to why I’m still bearing my last name (igwegbe). I don’t know why people cannot keep their opinions to themselves. Meanwhile, they are the most miserable in life. Oops I forgot, she said Buhari made her an ambassador. Kidding she actually calls herself an ambassador, but it’s not what you think. It’s a student/university ambassadorship recruiting students I guess so she can be paid. Looking at this picture of her speaks volumes. She desperately needs attention and a man. The last time I checked, only street gals dress this way. @ Viv Rowland. Go get a life ok. And learn next time how to write on people’s walls about matters and issues that doesn’t concern you. Peace girl.’’ She also hinted that it is about time she started exposing faces of those who wouldn’t let her be with their hateful comments. - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/12/nollywood-actress-georgina-onuoha-slams.html#sthash.5p4Mdsv2.dpuf cc lalasticlala mynd44 ishilove

Last week, their was a rumor that Toke Makinwa and her estranged hubby, Maje Ayinda were fully back together as they were spotted getting cosy at two major events. And now, Maje doesn’t seem to like the buzz that was created by the media about the whole reunion drama. A while ago, he took to his Instagram page, advising people to stop judging his life and instead focus on theirs. He said, “Every time you judge someone, put them down, criticize them and minimize their efforts, you choose to feed your fears, doubts and limiting beliefs! Fear of failure and rejection is often a reflection of how you view other people’s efforts, failures and achievements rather than a true representation of how you feel. You’re more worried about what others will think and say about you rather than any real sense of fear or failure and that’s because you’re too quick to judge and criticize others! - See complete story and more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/12/toke-makinwas-husband-reacts-to.html#sthash.sDZXYwSS.dpuf cc lalasticlala mynd44 ishilove
