He said he went to buy something and someone came along to request for "APC Sac" (bag), and he was surprised and he waited and later called the guy that bought the "APC Sac" and ask him what is in the bag and why do they call it "APC Sac"

They guy responded that the "APC Sac" contains garri and groundnut. And that they call it "APC sac" because is cuz of hunger that they buy it. That Buhari have failed to fulfill his promise and hunger they catch everybody.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, representing Lagos Central and wife to the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed on Wednesday, November 18, raised dust in the Senate when she gracefully sat on the seat meant for deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, The Cable reports.

It took the reproof of the senators elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party for Tinubu to relocate back to her chair to second a motion for the approval of Lagos state development policy operation loan. The rebuke came when the senator stood up to speak while still standing in the deputy Senate president corner.

The APC leader’s wife, however, returned back to Ekweremadu’s position, who was absent from plenary immediately after she seconded the motion. It was learnt that sat in the chair meant for Bukola Saraki’s deputy to hold conversation with the leader of the Senate, Aliyu Ndume. During plenary, the Senate approved the $200 million loan requested by Lagos state government from the World Bank after a debate on the report of its adhoc committee on local and foreign debts.

Senator Danjuwa Goje from Gombe state had initially urged the Senate not to approve the loan stating that it will leave the state with huge debt burden for future governments but later went ahead to give his support for the loan request. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, yesterday, November 15, expressed his regret for joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) without dragging Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State along with him. Dogara made the remark at the reception hosted by the senator representing Enugu North Senatorial District, Chuka Utazi, on behalf of the Nsukka cultural zone for the governor.

According to Dogara, Ugwuanyi’s pedigree as a ‘Progressive’ while at the lower house will serve as a tonic that will boost governance in Enugu state. Dogara said: ”For us in the House of Representatives, the governor is our Ambassador. The fact that am here today attests to the kind of leadership Ugwuanyi provided during his stay at the National Assembly. I have no doubt that Ugwuanyi’s pedigree will be brought to bare in Enugu state.

”I will hold him (Ugwuani) accountable if he does not bring those developmental goals we discuss to Enugu state. He was a progressive mind at the House of Rep. One of my regrets is that i did not cross over to APC with him.” On his part, Senator Utazi stated that destiny has beckoned on the governor at this time to shoulder the heavy responsibilities of leadership in the state.

He said: ”We are confident that the governor’s pedigree and inscrutable focus shall move our people many years ahead. You are carrying the aggregate of the hopes of a people. Akinfolarin Baruwa, the UNILAG lecturer who was accused of raping his friend’s daughter few months ago has been jailed.

Mr Baruwa was given a 21-year jail term on Friday the 6th of November 2015. The resident of Abesan Estate in Ipaja Lagos reportedly abandoned his first wife with 4 children before he remarried and since then he has been making one mistake after the other.

His family members are still in shock over the judgement.

The Abia Police Command, on Tuesday confirmed the arrest of a woman, who allegedly sold her three-year-old grandson to a ritualist. The Command’s spokesman, DSP Udeviotu Onyeke told newsmen that the woman was in the custody of the police in Umuobiakwa, as investigation continues.

He said that part of the investigation being carried out was to determine the sanity of the woman. The woman, who hailed from Onitsha Ngwa in Obingwa Local Government of the state, had left the village with the child and returned a week later to report that he was missing.

Sources in the village said that when the suspect was questioned about the missing boy, her response triggered suspiscion, thereby prompting the villagers to invite the police.

The former presidential spokesperson turned 50 yesterday and his wife Omolara in collaboration with close friends, threw him a surprise birthday party. Explaining how he was surprised, Abati said;

“My wife told me she wanted take me out. She said she has a suit for me to wear. I never suspected anything. She asked if I had a bow tie. I said no, she produced this red bow tie and said she was ready for us to go for the dinner. Only for me to come in and find all of you here.I must say that I am really surprised and my heart is filled with joy. And look at the cake too, with law books and all that, thank you everyone. Ever since they made their Nollywood debut in 2007 in Broken Ambition, the identical twins, Chidimma and Chidiebere Aneke aka Aneke Twins, have continued to grow from strength to strength. Like all twins, the Anekes are inseparable. Whenever you see one, you also see the other. But now, it seems marriage will eventu­ally separate them, as they disagree on their choice of man.

In this chat with an entertain­er during the 12th edition of Abuja International Film festival (AIFF), held recently at the Federal Capital Terri­tory, the twins who premiered their latest movie, "Back To The Basics" at the event, opened up on career, polygamy, and les­sons their late dad taught them.

Questions & Answers

You girls have come a long way, has it always been your dream to be actresses?

Chidiebere: Actually yes. We started acting in church when we were kids.

Do you still miss your late dad?

Chidiebere: Yes, but we don’t want to talk about it. It’s still very painful for us. We don’t want to start crying all over again.

What kind of dad was he?

Chidimma: My father was okay and we had everything we wanted. Dad pampered us. However, if you did something wrong, he flogged you and then pampered you, telling you where you went wrong.

Chidiebere: Dad was cool. We had fun growing up. He dressed us in same clothes and shoes; we always wore the same uniform (laughter).

What was the greatest advice he gave you?

Chidiebere: We should be prayerful and work hard. We shouldn’t believe in human beings because they will definitely fail.

Chidimma: Dad taught us how to farm. He told us to always remember that you can’t stop working until your job is done. He was a philanthropist and loved helping people a lot; he did things for widows and the physically challenged.

What was it like growing up in a po­lygamous home?

Chidimma: It was fun. We all ate from one plate; there were no barriers.

Since you have this blissful recollec­tion of growing up in a polygamous home, could you be second wife?

Chidiebere: The difference between then and now is that our father and mothers understood each other and knew what they wanted. But I can’t share my husband with another woman.

Chidinma: How they measured wealth those days was in how many children and wives one had. I don’t have a problem with polygamy but will my fellow wives be able to live the way my father and his wives lived? I believe it is still possible to live that way even now.

About 15 persons have been confirmed dead in Emago/Kugbo community in Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State, following the recent oil spill that occurred in the area, at one of the facilities of Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC). This was disclosed yesterday, by Omini Walson-Asaco, spokesman of the community before the members of Rivers State House of Assembly Committee on Environment, held at the Assembly Complex in Port Harcourt.

The House of Assembly Committee had summoned the management of the Italian oil giant, on the heels of a petition from the lawmaker representing Abua/Odual Constituency, the Deputy Speaker, Marshall Uwom, requesting the House to intervene in the matter. At the meeting, which had in attendance representatives of the community and Agip company, the spokesman of Emago/Kugbo community, accused the company of insensitivity to the plight of the people.

Ekiti State executive governor Ayodele Fayose yesterday hung out with some market women at the soon to be demolished old Oja Oba market in Ado Ekiti, the state capital. Fayose was there to encourage the women as they moved out of the market which he will be refurbishing soon.

What a wonderful governor he is. I mean this is really the first time a governor will do that in the history of Nigeria though I stand corrected. He is indeed a God-sent to the Ekiti people if am not mistaken. Because more often than not, showing this art of caring meaning it may be a camouflage.
