Reading the above reminds me of that folktale where the tortoise tricked the elephant promising to crown him king and organizing a grand celebration in his honor. Unaware of the deception, the elephant arrived in good faith, only to be invited to sit on a seat cleverly placed over a deep pit, covered with a mat.
