In Osoyintola area of Ilasamaja, policemen partnering with Illsa Division in Lagos have apprehended an accused serial rapist for supposedly raping a 5-year-old girl.

According to findings, Emeka was said to have raped 5 minors before, this making it the sixth.

Emeka was said to be tricking the minors with sweets and biscuits in bathroom and toilets, where he carried out the rapes. The accused met his doom weekend as a tenant caught him in the evil act and voiced out.

A tenant, Tolani Bakare, told Vanguard:

“ Emeka gave the girl biscuit, took her into the toilet and raped her.

“The girl was heard crying. Her elder sister, who was looking for her, heard her voice and started calling her name. At that point, Emeka rushed out of the toilet and bolted. The victim told her sister that Emeka had been doing it to her for some time.

“That was not the first time he has done such an act. He has done it to five other children between ages five and six, but he would end up begging their parents to forgive him.”

Search for Emeka was carried out by the police as the minor's mother reported to Illasamaja Division and he was apprehended around 10pm after he ran away.

A source from the police disclosed that several efforts by Emeka's family member to bribe the police was rejected by the Divisional Police Officer, Superintend Oriyomi Oluwasanmi.

The girl's hymen had been broken and has gotten penetration, according to Medical report, Police source disclosed.

According to sources, the accused had already been transferred to the Gender Unit of the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja.
