A teenage girl, age 13 from Illefunfun, Magbon, Badagry, Lagos State, has supposedly ran away with her lover who resides in Illogbo, Oko Afo, a neighbouring community in the area.

The teenage girl from Senior School One Pupil, Lawal, on Oct. 22 was said to have ran away with her male lover, known as Akin, and had failed to report to her family house.

It was gathered that the teenage girl, revealed as Kemi, fled with her male lover, said to be a commercial Motocycle rider.

It was revealed that the male lover and Kemi met in the church in the day they disappeared.

The police is yet to track down Akin after the case was reported at the Morogbo Police Division.

Kemi's father said that Akin's parents had made void the chances of finding his daughter.

He said, “I have been searching for her for two weeks. I went to my workplace in Apapa. When I came back, her siblings told me that she went to Holy Mary Church, where Akin waited for her. The pastor of the church, a woman, confirmed to me that she saw her and Akin, but said they left before the end of service that day.

“I went to Akin’s house. His mother said she did not know his whereabouts and that he only came home every evening. I told the police what she said, but they said they would not arrest her.

“Kemi said she knew where he passes the night. I have been begging her parents to allow her take me to the place. She was the one that introduced my daughter to Akin. He is an okada rider.”

Isah explained that his daughter had been a good girl not until she started a relationship with Akin and that she had before now fled to Kemi's house and spent two days before she finally ran away with Akin to a unknown location.

He said, “I have been responsible for her upbringing and that of her sisters since their mother died five years ago. She changed suddenly and her behaviour has become strange.

“A week before she fled with Akin, I returned from work in the evening on Friday. A neighbour told me that she went out with Kemi.

“When I got there, Kemi’s mother said she had gone out with Kemi to iron her clothes. She returned home the following day and I warned her not to associate with Kemi again.”

ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, attested that the case was reported at the Morogbo division and that investigation is on.

He said, “ During investigation, he (Isah) said he suspected somebody who is her boyfriend. Investigation is ongoing to arrest the boyfriend and find the daughter of the man. A case of missing person was reported at the station.”

A mother from Texas, USA, has been accused to supposedly shooting dead her two kid daughters while they were asleep and he boldly said to her husband, “Babe, I shot the kids.”



The 29-year-old Sarah Henderson, was apprehended on Thursday after she supposedly shot dead her two kids, 5-year-old Kenlie and 7-year-old Kaylee Danielle, while they were asleep on the couch in their home.

The step-father of the young girls, called the police on Wednesday at 11:30pm to report that his wife is about to carry out a suicidal mission, according to CBS. The police quickly responded, but when they got to their home, the couple told the police all is fine.

Jacob Henderson put a call to the police again 5 hours later to tell them that his wife has just shot her two children, according to reports.

“She was asleep when I went to sleep last night. I woke up and she came in there [and] said, ‘Babe, I just shot the kids.’ And I didn’t want to believe it. I went in there and they were dead,” Henderson said in the 911 call to police, the Associated Press reported.

Sarah could be heard in the background during the call saying, “God what did I do?” according to reports.

Sarah also made effort to shoot down her husband, but the gun was interrupted, said the police.

"The gun malfunctioned. He took the pistol then realized the daughters had been shot. We don’t have a motive at all. We’re still digging, trying to figure out what was going on at that house at the time," Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse told ABC News.

Sarah is now facing a murder and there are still more charges coming, according to reports.

Her bail bond is set at $2 million.

A GoFundMe page has been created to help pay for the children’s funeral costs.

“Heaven gained two beautiful babies today. Raising money to give them the memorial they deserve. Anything will help, including prayers,” the page read.

The meeting which was held on a closed-door yesterday saw delegation led by a special representative of Secretary-General of UN, Ambassador Mohamed Ibn Chambas, with the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by its President-General, Chief Nnia Nwodo in Enugu.

Other notable chieftains of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, who were present in the meeting with the UN delegation included Deputy President-General and former deputy governor of Ebonyi State, Prof. Chigozie Ogbu; Enugu State President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Alex Ogbonnia; Dr. Ifedi Okwenna; and chairman of Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, Amb. Lawrence Agubuzor, among others.

Speaking to the Newsmen, UN representative, Chambas said they visited the Ohanaeze leadership to appreciate the body on how it dealt with the crisis affecting the unity of the country.

Chambas explained that UN was recently disturbed over the developments in Nigeria, particularly in the South-East, insisting that the UN Secretary-General, Mr. Antonio Guterres, is on the side of united Nigeria where human lives and rights are not threatened.

Chambas said: “We indeed came to commend them for the leadership they have demonstrated. Few months ago, we were all getting a bit worried with events and developments in the South-East of Nigeria but thanks to their leadership and their initiatives, they were able to bring together the chiefs and the political leaders and governors and respected persons of South-East and through this intervention, we now see that calm is restored and all are working to advance the one Nigeria agenda.

“The Secretary General believes in this one Nigeria project because he had always said that a united peaceful Nigeria is not only for the people of Nigeria, but indeed for the people of West Africa and for all of Africa. We know the strength the people of South-East bring to Nigeria and to the sub region. There is hardly a single country in West Africa where you will not find enterprising persons from the South-East who are in their own rights economic ambassadors of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“So our simple message is to encourage the leaders, the elders of the South-East to continue to endeavour to seek ways in which they can work with all other parts of the federation and to strengthen the unity of this country and through a constructive approach to seek dialogue to redress whatever short coming there may be.”

Chief Nnia Nwodo, President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, revealed that on July 12, 2017, Ohanaeze lettered the secretary General of the United Nations about the security infrastructure in the country, most especially on how it affects the Ndigbo, which the UN replied the letter on October 10, explaining that the UN will send its representative for the West Africa and the Sahel.

“We had very fruitful and frank discussions with Ambassador Chambas. He has assured us that the United Nations represents prevention of conflicts, represents promotion of development in a manner that improves quality of life and prevents resort to conflicts and protects human rights.”

Malam Musa Mohammad, age 43, has been apprehended by the Right Protection Agency in Niger State for setting his setting on fire his 15-year-old son after deep argument ensued.



The Director of the Agency, Mrs Mairam Kolo, who made this known in Minna yesterday, said the event that played out happened around Polytechnic Road, Bida area of the state.

Kolo explained that Mohammed tied up his son and collected fuel from his motorbike, then released it on his son, setting him on fire after supposed continuous misunderstanding broke out between them.

She further explained that the quick action of the neighbour helped the boy not to burn to death.

The Director-General said the boy is currently receiving treatment at Umaru Ndayako General Hospital, Bida.

The father of the boy have been pleading for mercy, explaining that he carried out the action out of vexation.

‘Telling women how they can be better is a classic way of tapping into body image issues and honestly in my personal opinion it is a form of abuse.’

Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has delivered a baby girl on Sunday morning, October 29, at a hospital in Accra, according to Ghana Newsmen.



More reports disclosed that the Yvonne's baby is light-skinned, raising the thought that the father of her baby is a white man.

Even as the father of her baby has not been revealed, it is reported that he was beside her in the process of giving birth in the hospital.

There have been long rumours revealing that Yvonne Nelson is pregnant but there was not a proof to it as she failed to confirm any of those reports.

A woman, 38, Gaje Zubairu, who gave birth to quadruplets at the General Hospital, Malumfashi, Katsina State, through Caesarean operation, lastWednesday gave up her ghost on Sunday morning, Punch reports.



Dr. AbdulHamed Abdullahi, the hospital's Chief Medical Director, attested to the event that played out to Northern City News, but didn't give details following the death of the woman.

He said, “Yes, the woman died about 11 this morning (Sunday). But I will call you back to give you details as I am driving.”

Sources from the hospital explained that Gaje's sudden death was not due to the Caesarean section carried out on her, revealing that after the operation, she was in good health condition and they were set out plans for the naming of the babies.

A source said, “Gaje had already scaled though the operation stress and we were looking forward to the naming ceremony of the babies.

“A good Samaritan had even purchased the ram that is to be slaughtered on Wednesday for the naming ceremony. We were just alerted this morning from our duty post to her sudden restlessness and few minutes later, she was dead.”

The deceased body of Gaje has been moved to her village, Gora Dansaka for the burial rites to be carried out on Sunday .

The deceased mother gave birth to one girl and three boys through the Caesarean operation by the help of a medical team at the General Hospital, Malumfashi, Katsina State and one of the quadruplets after the birth died in the evening of that the delivery day. The remaining three babies are currently in good condition, according to family source.

A policeman brutally attacked a 32-year-old official of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Benue State Command, Roland Oibe, and he was moved to the hospital after he was supposedly attacked, according to Punch.



The event played out when he was returning from where he went to buy baby food around 8pm when the Policeman supposedly released an object to the wheel of his motorcycle on Benson Abonu Street, following that his wife just gave birth to their first baby.

The hit reportedly made Roland to fall to the ground, lost his tooth and broke his jaw.

The policeman who was said to be alone on duty on the road, supposedly took up to his heel and got missing.

Daniel who is the brother to Roland said he was quickly moved to the hospital around the vicinity.

He said, “My brother was attacked by the policeman on Monday around 8pm. His wife had just been delivered of their first child. He went to buy baby food and was riding home when the policeman threw something at the motorcycle.

“There is no justification for the attack. Although, there is a law banning commercial motorcycle riders from operating in the state from 9pm, the commercial motorcycles have a grading system, which distinguish them from private motorcycles. My brother was riding a private motorcycle and he was not flagged down.

“When I got to the scene, I gathered that the policeman had fled. We rushed him to a private hospital where he had been receiving treatment.”

Daniel explained that the family of the victim visited many police stations around the area to fish out the policeman, revealing that they all denied saying they never posting any police officer to the actual location.

He said the family to the victim later reported the event that played out to the NIS and the command assured the family of fishing out the perpetrator.

“The attack happened in front of the NIS controller’s house. The NIS said they would do something. We want justice and the police should take up the medical expenses of my brother. We have spent a lot of money and the bills keep rising,” he added.

Daniel later told the PUNCH Metro that the case was later reported to the police command headquarters and they fished out the policeman and apprehended him.

Daniel said information about the policeman is yet to be revealed, but the police had visited Roland at the hospital.

Moses Yamu, State Police Public Relation Officer, said he has not been informed about the event that played out, assuring to make his findings.

A Police Officer, Corporal David Napoleon attached to the Department of operations at the Bayelsa State Police Command shot dead on Thursday a senior Secondary School Student identified as Joseph Tomoizibe, October 26, according to Bodmas Kemepadei.



The event that played out erupted a chaos in Kpansia community after residers in demonstration blocked the road which resulted to long hold-up along Yenagoa-Mbiama road. The policeman has reportedly been apprehended, disarmed and detained for further investigations.

The unstable atmosphere was put to rest after Yenagoa Caretaker Committee Chairman, Oforji Oboku stepped into the matter and pleaded with the angry residers.

Mr. Asinim Butswat, spokesperson for the command, who attested to the event that played explained that the 18years was shot dead when the policeman was trying to escape from being attacked by irate boys and suspected cultists in the area

"The incident occurred at about 10pm on Thursday after six armed cultists invaded the home of Corporal David Napoleon at Kpansia area of the state capital," he said.

?The suspect and armed cultists tore the window net and gain entrance into the house. The officer, who was home with his family, ran after the hoodlums and arrested one Stephen Ayama, male, 16 years and a member of the Greenlander cult group. He was handed over to the State Security outfit known as Door Akpo.

?When he was coming back to his house with a plan to move his family out to a safer place, some suspected cultists and indigenes of the community went after him to attack him. He ran but was chased by the irate youths. He turned and shot ?at them below the knee level. The bullet hit one Tombozide Joseph, 18 years, on the thigh. He was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre.

Notwithstanding, the Central Zone leadership of the Ijaw Youths Council, IYC, blamed the police for the event that played out.

Mr. Tare Porri, Zonal Chairman of IYC, who paid a visit to the family of the deceased boy explained that his questioning on the members of the family made him realise that he is 13 years old.

He said;

?After consulting with the police and family of the deceased boy, it is clear that the deceased is 13 years old. He and the killer policeman were neighbours.

??Eyewitnesses said the policeman shot twice from the kitchen to scare some suspected cultists trying to gain entry. When he came out, he saw that the boys were still around. There was an argument and when one of the boys called others on phone, the policeman shot at knee level but the bullet hit the deceased on the thigh.

?Eyewitnesses and the Investigating officer confirmed to us that the boy was not a cultist. He was just witnessing the argument. I call on the State Commissioner of Police to investigate the incident and come out with a clear report to avoid a reprisal attack against security agents. Repraisal can happen when such cases are not properly investigated. Kpansia is a safe community and must be made to remain so.? said Mr. Tare Porri.

Today RRS shared some photos of corporate pickpockets and thieves arrested in different locations in Lagos state. In a statement published on their social media handles, it revealed that one of the thieves, Seun Jimoh, 18 was an auto-engineer apprentice in Oshodi who left his apprenticeship for pickpocketing for the reason being that it was of more gains.



Jimoh dressed in native attire with a cooperate bag before he was apprehended has stolen four mobile phones from the commuters at the bus-stop in the early morning rush in Oshodi. He was caught while he was trying to pick away N18,000 from a commuter in the early morning rush. Jimoh wasn't aware that two victims was closely watching him after noticing that he was the person who stole their phones. In his process of picking away N18,000 from a new victim, Gbenga Odeniyi, he was apprehended.

Two victims, Onesimus Paul and Onuh Austine alerted the public persons which made Jimoh to quickly drop the money and speed off, but he was pursued by RRS operatives close to the scene and he finally caught. The victims explained to the RSS operatives what played out and they called their phones which ringed in Jimoh's handbag.

Jimoh later confessed that he has stolen two phones in the early morning rush, He added

“On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, I am always in Oshodi pickpocketing. I steal an average of eight phones on Mondays and maybe like nine phones on Fridays. I don’t really get more than five phones on Wednesdays'.

A 22-year-old suspect, Joseph Adeoye dressed in English suit was also apprehended in Ikeji at the commissioning of a shopping mall after he stole a mobile phone from a shopper. He confessed that he had stolen many phones and wallet in such way.

He said, ‘I live in Ibafo, from where I come to Lagos visiting choice gatherings to pickpocket’.

Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu yesterday said that it is not his duty to look for the leader of banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who have been missing for over a month.



The governor explained that people who are trained to track down people should provide information to where IPOB leader is hiding.

Okezie who made such utterance after a closed-door meeting with the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, told Newsmen in an interview that the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu was his brother, but the government of Abia state can not answer about his disappearance.

He said, “Those who are looking for him may have a better knowledge and have the capacity to determine the location of anyone in Nigeria.

“There are people who are trained to track people and it is their responsibility not mine.”

A 31-year-old man, Joshua Tabiti, in his confession to Zonal Intervention Squad, (ZIS) Onikan, Lagos State, stated that it is impossible for him to stop carrying out robbery attacks, no matter how risk it is.



Joshua who made such utterance confessed that he has been stealing from his childhood. He was apprehended with three other gang members, Moses Ofoke, 31, Oluseye Arokoyo, 34, Ahmed Alli, 24.

Tabiti said: “I have done everything to stop stealing, but I couldn’t. My parents also tried their best, but I cannot do away with robbery. I was sacked where I worked as a driver after I stole my boss’ money.”

The suspected robber and with gang members have reportedly stolen about 26 Toyota Camry Cars from Bariga, Somolu and Oworoshoki areas of Lagos state.

He said:

“I’m a driver with two children.
I started doing this job after I was sacked where I worked as a driver at Victoria Island. My friend introduced me to this job in 2017. I have stolen 11 vehicles in Oworonshoki, Bariga and Somolu in Lagos. What we do is to go out around 2 a.m.
A man cuts a master key for us to steal Toyota cars. We open the cars and kick-start the ignitions. We don’t rob at gunpoint. We got the key for N1000 or N2000. After stealing, we send the cars to Ondo to two buyers.
The first car we stole was a Nissan salon. We sold it for N100, 000, the other; a Toyota Camry was sold for N200, 000. Others were sold for N300, 000. We usually share the money after selling the cars. I used my own money to rent a house and bought household items.”

A woman, Therapist Valerie Jones, 54, who was declared free from breast cancer, gave up her ghost after taking alcohol the whole day as a sign of celebration.



She was taken to the Greek island of Santorini for relaxation by her husband, Nigel who is a company director.

Mrs Jones in celebration took wine all through the day, in the trip, at lunch and over the dinner on the second day.

Mrs Jones in the night had a nightcap with her husband before partying at their hotel. Her husband, who is the director of chartered surveyors in Yeovil. Somerset, went to sleep and told her to enjoy herself at the party.

Mr Jones in the rising of the morning got the news that his wife fainted in the toilet just after 2am and she didn't regain herself and became lifeless on getting to the Santorini General Hospital.

It was revealed to Bounemouth Coroner's Court that Mrs Jones was closer to four and half times the drink-drive limit, which in the UK is 80mg alcohol per 100ml of blood.

Pathologist Dr Kudair Hussein told the inquest: ‘When blood alcohol levels go above 350mg per 100ml, it is not unknown that people can die suddenly.

‘My report showed Mrs Jones had 358mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood. On the balance of probability, you can conclude this was the cause of her death.’ Mr Jones, 52, told the hearing: ‘We had some wine taking in the sights, as one does on holiday.

‘We then had some wine with lunch and again later on with our evening meal. We then decided to head back to the hotel and had a nightcap.’

The health minister of Uganda on Thursday has attested to the death of one as a result of Marburg virus, a highly infectious hemorrhagic fever similar to Ebola.



After series of test carried out , Jane Aceng told Newsmen the case which resulted to death is caused by the virus.

Uganda faced the out break which took many lives in 2014 and the virus is from the offspring of Ebola which also killed thousands in 2014 in West Africa.

The female victim, age 50, gave up her ghost at the hospital in eastern Uganda on Oct. 11 after “she presented with signs and symptoms suggestive of viral hemorrhagic fevers”, the minister said.

The woman had nursed her 42-year old brother who died on Sept. 25 with similar signs and symptoms and also participated in cultural preparation of the body for burial," she added.

Aceng said the man was “a hunter who carried out his activities where there are caves with heavy presence of bats.”

The fruit bat which was kept for series of check up didn't show any sign of the disease.

The symptoms and signs of Marburg includes headache, muscle pains, vomiting blood and bleeding through various aperture.

The disease can be transmitted through contact with infected blood or other body tissue and fluids.

A man, Jonathan, 21 has supposedly put in flames the home of 36-year-old joy Godwin of Okuokoko town, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, for supposedly stopping him from forcefully gaining sexual penetrating on her 26-year-old younger sister.

Joy displayed fearlessness as Jonathan forced himself into their house and extremely tried to carry out his aim, but Joy landed a wood on his head while on his rape mission, according to Vanguard.

Commissioner of Police, Delta Command, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim, who attested to the event that played out, said the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, are on the top of the case.

He explained that Joy told the Police that the intended rapist “came to knock on her door, but she refused to open the door for him, only for him to jump into the compound through the fence and forcefully attempted to rape her younger sister, Mercy.

“The complainant hit him with a wood on his head and the suspect came back and set the house ablaze, hence her report at Orerokpe Police Station.”
