I told him the cvt was designed not to feel the gearshifts nor change gear but this man said he has worked on muranos and altimas that have cvts in them and they shift only that i haven't noticed. Why not simply buy an SUV with proven mechanicals, rather than buy a bad one, and have to carry out an alien transplant, just to get rid of the inadequate Rover K-Series motor? The Freelander had over 120 faults from the factory, the engine was just 1 of them. It will NEVER be a good buy.
