0truthseeker:Religious people are awesome does not mean their claims are true, religion is important? So did the leaders thought, especially when it came to oppressing and exploiting people. Because a famous guy said something does not mean it's true. Seun does not believe in any religious God. Even atheists are awesome. |
GoodMuyis:No pastor in Nigeria have said anyone should eat grass but a parent have tortured his child because a pastor told him the child was a witch and cause of his problems. A woman abandoned her child because a pastor told her that her child is a snake. All here in Nigeria. If that not enough for you. I dare you to list those ten atheists who have sex with animals. Atheists are not irresponsible as you think. |
whitebeard: forgive my rashness, e get as e dey do me. Many christians are actually guilty of what I said about you. When religion is dropped, science is usually embraced. We don't value intellectual stuffs in this country that is why our schools are the way it is. Everyone is after the money and material things. On a societal and political level, religion is one of the things hindering this country. |
GoodMuyis:My post was directed to Africa at large, please learn to read and understand. We may not be that foolish to eat grass, but believe me we fall stupidly for religion here in Nigeria. |
whitebeard:You were indirectly saying that Robynwelo1 comment on you was due to frustration out of unemployment and getting angry at God and religion. I have encountered this type of thinking. When people rant against God, some christians like you say that the person is frustrated or his/her prayers are not answered. Why did frustration come to your mind? Are you indirectly saying that it is not unusual for people to get frustrated at God? If God existed, nobody would be frustrated. It also goes to show that you are nasty at heart, that you can shut down someone using his ordeal, even with that emoji. Nasty man you are. Robynwelo1 was right, you don't know what to say so pack your load and go. Mtewwwwwww. |
whitebeard:Smh. What sort of logic is this? Must something bad happen before people realise that religion is a facade of reality? If your God was real, this won't be the case. |
GoodMuyis:Smh. Kumuyi and Adeboye are big time thieves. Your inability to figure that tells a lot about your... . If you read my post, you will know that I said it will do us good is we drop religion. I stressed that we need to do it quickly compared to europeans. Have you ever heard that a pastor in Europe told people to eat grass? Or telling people to drink petrol and human hair? How about receiving God on his mobile phone? Why Africa? Na only us waka come. Later you tell me that we are not taking things too far. After kumuyi and Adeboye graduated with first class what did they do, they opened a church to milk millions. Mtewwwwwww, take time o. ![]() |
whitebeard:Not just church, what about mosque. Was El Rufai not bashed because he told people to build schools instead of mosques? The recent drop in church attendance is quite recent to except a drastic change. A large amount of people who don't go to church are still religious and that is enough damage. Whether you like it or not, a lot, I mean a lot, still go to church. As I have said, read my opening post again. |
The theists in this thread obviously lack a good comprehensive ability. I think a low IQ is one of our problems as well. When scientists said Africans have a low IQ in general, we taught they were joking. |
Aaronsrod:Most amusing people seem to be bound the same way. ![]() |
whitebeard:I never said religion is our sole problem, all I said is that it is one of our major problems. We make it worse by taking it too far. I hate coming in contact with a low comprehensive ability/ IQ. |
GoodMuyis:we are very different from them, our mentality is different. I didn't say religion is our sole problem. I think you have to read my post again. I hate coming in contact with people who have low comprehensive ability. Please read my post again. |
johnydon22:Agreed. Unlike books and paper, the basic premise of religion is all lies, people live by these lies and we know that religion is a destructive tool in the hands of men. Other things may be useful but religion is not. Even if religion has a usefulness, it's bad side far overwhelms the good side making it unnecessary. |
Religion is in every country. The developed, developing and underdeveloped all have religion. So can religion be one the causes of backwardness in Africa? Yes it is, infact a major cause. Why the religious Americans and Europeans are wasting time in the church, their atheist and agnostic scientists, even few "unserious" religious scientists, are working tirelessly moving their countries forward. Don't forget that they are sponsored by the government and their environments are topnotch and great for learning. So while the religious folks are whiling away their precious time, the scientists effectively fill the gap to move the country forward. ![]() The same can't be said for Nigeria and Africa at large. We don't have these scientists in great number, our universities are nothing to write home about neither is our environment. We even take these religious stuff too far. So tell me, who need to drop religion the most and quickest? How can our leaders and influential personalities loot this country mercilessly and all we can do is rant and say that our future is in God's hands? The politicians, after looting, will say the country needs prayers and many will be touched. What foolishness. The country is in a very bad state for religion to continue reigning in Nigeria. Our pastors and politicians are smart. Just like other rich folks, they profess their God in their comfort but in health crisis or any challenge, they use their resources to do the needful only for them to profess God in their comfort. We need to wake up. |
Man is now too civilised for religion. Man can do good things without religion. |
There are many things we don't know. We should learn to admit that. However, it is wrong to credit things we don't not understand to a divine being, for whom there is no evidence as to his existence. The abandonment of human reasoning to the embrace of fairy tales is destructive. It seems some folks have deviated from the topic. |
topbollz:I am not planning his downfall. I wanted information about him from those who had worked with him. Is it bad to seek information about someone? Please read my post and the whole topic. |
Blitzerz:football score? Explain and let me put you right. ![]() |
Blitzerz:lol, that proves my point. You don't want your illusion destroyed so you are taking advantage of any loop hole to tear the topic down. I ask, apart from that Germany's error, prove that the rest too are not well researched. I gave you a reason why I made the error but you won't see it because your illusion must not be destroyed. You quoted that out of context. How cunning of you. Smh. Whether you like it or not, I have your time this evening. What I said on coincidence is true. Now, disappoint me by coming to the main issue of coincidence instead of escaping. I am not running anywhere. ![]() |
Blitzerz:Go check it on Google, atheism is rampant in eastern Germany. When I said Germany was an atheist country, I meant a large part of the population. This idea was what I was fed by my uncle who lives in Germany. As it turns out majority are christians but in eastern Germany, atheism is rampant. You are trying to take advantage of this error to rubbish my talk on coincidence. How cunning. I repeat all my claims in my opening post are well researched except what I said about Germany. I dear you to prove me wrong. I know your trick, don't capitalise on that error to rubbish my post because apart from that error, the claims I made are well researched. Prove me wrong. How cunning of you to do such because you want to hang on to your delusion. ![]() Accept the fact, what I said about coincidence is true. Na me send English message to give Germany it's seven lettered name? Don't run away from the topic ![]() |
Blitzerz, I agree that my take on Germany's religiosity was wrong. I can beat my chest that it is the only error made in my post. Can you now focus on the issue of coincidence? |
Blitzerz:Muy uncle who lives in Germany told me that they don't take religion seriously. The fact about Germany is the only error I made in the topic out of careless. This is rare of me. Don't escape the topic, what is your take on the coincidence issue? ![]() |
Blitzerz:I didn't really check on the issue of Germany. But eastern Germany has atheism to be rampant. Let's leave that aside, what do you have to contribute to the topic, do you think Germany won the world cup because of God? What is your take on coincidence. |
Blitzerz:I meant to say that religion is not rampant in Germany, particularly in the eastern part of Germany. there are still christians though. |
Under no condition should we attribute coincidence to a God somewhere. If you do, you are in for a long thing. ![]() |
GodsMopol:Amputees that have attempted walking and no show, what should they do? ![]() |
Coincidence can be astonishing. Coincidence is never planned and more damaging is the fact that christians and other religious folks take coincidence to be the act of God. Coincidence will always occur and as I have said can be astonishing. Before I continue, let's look at some of the most astonishing coincidences 1) G is the 7th letter of the alphabet, G for Germany. Germany has seven letters. Germany was in the 7th group of the world cup played in July(7th month). They ended the group stage with 7 points, against Brazil, they scored seven goals. They won the world cup. 2) Mrs Violet Jesse survived the sinking of the Titanic and Britannic. She also survived the collision Olympic and Hawke. She was a catholic, other religious folks died in that encounter o. The church collapse in uyo had christians die horribly. If Nigeria were Germany in that world cup, you know what the religious folks, who believe in 7 being a number of perfection, would say. Coincidence could be your team winning when you prayed but don't forget that some else prayed for the opposition team . Don't forget that atheists and christians have all fallen from tall buildings at survived. Who are we to thank? REASON WHY COINCIDENCE HAPPENS 1) It happens because a lot of humans have lived in the past, with different environments and in different scenarios such that all most all possible ways one can live his life has been played out. 2) coincidence that looks like a trend or follow a particular pattern is due to a person living in the same environment which others lived in before him and likely with similar purpose as them. orunto27:All most amusing people seem to be bound the same way. |
GodsMopol:If I am an amputee and I pray to God to restore my limb, what work must I do so that the faith won't be dead? Jesus never taught that we needed works to make faith alive. This idea is the most dubious escape in christianity. |
MrPresident1:Are you a christian? Yes or no. |
MrPresident1:What an escape route to prefer modern medicine. Religion is indeed the opium of the masses. |
MrPresident1:bwahahahahaha....

dude u are a noob. Listen what I said was based on the reason u created this thread, students go to school acquire knowledge and can't use the acquired knowledge for anything because of bad teaching methods and also improper understanding. But u blaming this on religion, religion does not teach u e=mc^2 no it doesn't.
