I don’t know what you mean by “mostly”, airpeace have a 30 fleet operation. Of that 30, 5 are airbus which is wet leased from smartlynx, airpeace owns the remaining 25 aircrafts on their fleet. But here you are, trying to compare a privately owned company to a National airline and trying to justify it.

I can understand, the problem is our mechanics. Even with your money you can’t get good service, and if you are able to get good service be advice 95% of all parts in Nigeria are China, not the original from the car manufacturer. So within a few months the part would have packed up. I drive a Benz, I have the money but to get good service is a problem, I have now resorted to ordering the parts from abroad, expensive, but at least I have peace of mind. Car generally is expensive to maintain.

Okay.........mum collected loan so close to her retirement period and handed it to our first born(my brother).............we all settled for Dubai since the money wouldn't be completely enough to process other available option................


My brother............entered Dubai and hardly listen to us even when we complained to him bout how hard the loan servicing was biting....................rather he ended up telling us how he's been facing one wahala to another.................Hardly does he send money too.................mum even sent him money(my school fees) from Nigeria so as to cuisine whatever wahala he might be facing(that particular action made me lose my admission that year)..............

Okay years and year rolled by........... nothing much was done by him...............


Later..........what we heard from him was "he has moved his wife to be with him"...........and this is someone who always complained how thing were terribly bad over there lol.....................Most painful aspect was that he never informed any of his family member not until late when he has perfected the travelling............

Mind u.......... all that was still acceptable by us Oooooo...........even tho the so wife never for once called on phone nor came to check on us in person if not for anything at least for her ageing MIL sake while she was in Nigeria.............

My mum asked me to borrow her N70k for her business and I did. The next thing she called to follow her to the site and I found out she has already gotten 500 pcs of blocks and 10 bags of cement. That was how we started.

She told me “You start by starting. Do all you can before your children start growing.” 1 started a year into my marriage and moved-in the next year.

Don’t mind those quoting you. Most of them have never run a business or have to pay salary. Imagine business not doing well, in this present Nigeria, where companies spend all their revenue running diesel, still salary is being paid and then you see one employee not doing what he’s supposed to do.

Most employees go to work just for the sake of it, it’s none of their business, it is literally NOT their business, so they can afford to be careless.

Every company have her work ethics, some are tougher than others. Some requires you to put in extra effort. I am also an employee, me and other staff, we put in so much hours that the MD called a meeting and literally asked us to tone it down. Nothing beats having a team of people you can trust to do their job when you are not around.

We understood it was a trying time for the company and we all needed to put in our very best. You think nobody is seeing you, eyes are seeing if you are a hard worker or a mediocre, don’t get mad when you are treated accordingly.

He delayed a job and tagged it “just”. “Just because a job got delayed”, at what cost? What’s the cost on the company for that delayed job? A lost client? Lost revenue? What’s the implication of that delayed job? And you are angry that the CEO is upset? The whole write up reeks of entitlement.

There are flight schools for “ordinary” members of the public. The government even pays 50% of ur fees.

On my way home today I got flagged down by the police, this happens very often and it can arguably be attributed to the fact that I drive a Benz.

The police officer asked if they have stopped me on this route before and I said yes, and he said then I should know that this is just a routine check and if I have all my papers complete, I said yes. He looked at the back seat and waved at me to go. Out of curiosity and the desire to ask a long burning question, I asked him why I always get flagged down (even though I partly know why).

The officer appeared very glad I asked, it looks like he's been wanting to explain this and asked if he can come in, I obliged.

And so, he began to talk, "Now, imagine you see an expensive car coming, that shouldn't be a concern, but as the car gets closer you can see that the driver is a young male with dreadlocks" at this point I cut in and said isn't that profiling? he continued "not necessarily, I haven't said he's a criminal, but in my experience it is a red flag, even in advanced countries you people look up to, if you dress, look and act in a particular way, it is a red flag to law enforcement. now you stop the car and the driver have visible tattoos and in his 20's. having a luxury car in your 20's should not be a problem, but this is a 3rd world country, we all know how the economy is, so you asked the young man what he does for a living and he can't point to any job or explain his source of income, how do such a scenery play out to you?"

At this point, he brought out his phone and showed me news of a 19yr old boy who along with his three other friends, had brutally murdered his girlfriend, decapitated her and burnt her head in a native pot. Then he asked how do I feel about such news, I said obviously I feel disgusted. then he asked if I was going to feign ignorance that this is not like a everyday occurrence, at this point I was beginning to see things from his perspective.

Then I asked why they are always hostile, he asked if he was hostile towards me when he stopped me, I said no. so he continued, "now, when the young man can not explain his source of income, next he starts feeling agitated, he starts shouting, trying to either intimidate you or antagonize you. At this point you ask him to step out of the car, but he either won't comply or tries to drive off, how do you respond to that?'

Without an answer, he continued. "now I am not saying the police is perfect, far from it, I know what some of my colleagues are up to, but if we don't fight this yahoo menace, you won't be safe, your sisters, my daughter and sisters may be next"

At this point I can only say he's won a disciple, and I hope to share this experience with you people, and that even though we want to criticize the police, when next we see such tags as police harassing young men for "balling" "being young and having it", we should be able to view things from the police point of view.
