According to Nyasa Times , Shadreck Vitto (23) had been in hiding for three days earlier last week after apparently stealing four goats in his village in Chikwawa, southern Malawi.
But on Wednesday, he was spotted by residents in Lazaro Village. The furious villagers chased him, hoping to moer him.
They trapped him on the banks of Maperera River, and he either faced a beating or had to take a chance in the waters.
Almost immediately after he dove in, Shadreck was attacked by two crocodiles that mauled his shoulder and legs.
According to Chikwawa Police Station spokesman, Constable Foster Benjamin, Shadreck screamed and fiercely wrestled the crocodiles. Good Samaritans came to his rescue and rushed him to nearby Chikwawa District Hospital.
Benjamin said Shadreck’s condition is stable, said the report.

The churches are angry about the Jerusalem municipality's plans to tax their various assets around the city and a potential parliament bill to expropriate land sold by the Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches.
The Jerusalem municipality says it continues to care for Christians needs and their full freedom of worship but "hotels, halls and businesses cannot be exempt from municipal taxes simply because they are owned by the churches".

The United States will relocate its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem in May, a year before the move was expected, a government official said on Friday(23-02-2018).
