Enyeama concedes two, but it was another own goal + a deflected shot. That said Enyeama is partly to blame for the second goal as he failed to deal with a corner. and came out all flapping. Still - him vs PSG forwards I say Enyeama wins this round.
Sports / Re: FIFA World Cup Or UEFA Champions League: Which Is Bigger and Better? by marutimon: 6:35pm On Dec 20, 2013
The champions league has also increasingly been about financial power. Who has more money can win. That makes the stories behind the games pretty weak and repetitive.

World Cup.
UEFA Champions League is like a filler in between, whilst waiting for the World Cup.
I have no emotional attachment to the Champions League, at best to specific players and their success.

Boy... Dirk Kuyt is a terrible striker... Makes Ideye Brown's finishing look good.
In general watch the entire highlights. It was all Emenike in this game. Won a penalty (missed by Kuyt), gave the team several opportunities on a golden plater (two of them missed by Kuyt), should have gotten another penalty and assisted the second goal.

1. Yes, they were listed. Not as part of the 25 player squad, but as part of the U21 youth players eligible under UEFA Champions League rules. Proof:
http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2014/clubs/club=52280/index.html

2. As far as I'm aware Akpom doesn't even have a Nigerian passport, unlike Serge Gnabry who does have an Ivorian passport (plus Ivory Coast are currently trying to 'book him' to play for them).

3. Boateng has a Ghanaian passport and was part of Ghanaian youth teams. Unlike Akpom, who has neither.

4. Omeruo was not entered into the Champions League squad for Chelsea.

naija noni: Both frimpong and boateng dont even make arsenal's bench even in capital one cup games. To me,They are not arsenal 1st team players.Akpom has come in as a substitute in some arsenal matches this season,he has started some games in d capital one cup and he has been listed on the bench in some of arsenal's epl matches. He is ahead of both frimpong and boateng at arsenal currently.

:-)
I only list players that were entered into champions league squads. Akpom wasn't mentioned like other players such as zelalem because their only associatio so far is with non-african national sides. If anything i shoul probably pull out gnabry.

bizibrain: Ayah, it really pained me big tym, it wouldnt av pain me if it was a well deserved direct shot on goal, but a deflection is a goal dat no goalkeeper has no right 2 get near it. He will b discourage nw, he may nt av dat clean sheet again 4 dis season,@ most 5 clean sheet @ a roll 4 d rest of d season.

He can still break the most clean sheets in a season (although have no idea what that is).

Besides... Just 1113 minutes to gain the clean sheet record smiley

freshchild: BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA is playing at her first World Cup, the European side was fantastic during qualification winning eight of their ten matches, drawing and losing just one.

They scored 30 goals during their qualification campaign and conceding only 6 goals, the impressive goal difference gave them an edge over Greece to see them earn automatic qualification to the World Cup.

That looks impressive until you look into it.
They scored 25 of those goals against Liechtenstein (12), Latvia (9) and Lithuania (4). Against Slovakia and Greece, the only semisensible teams in the group, they managed 5 goals in 4 games and conceeded 3. They also managed to conceed two goals vs Liechtenstein... They also managed to lose to Slovakia at home.

The run ends at 1062 minutes.

Enyeama finally got beaten by his own defender that directed the ball into the opposite corner. Absolutely no chance whatsoever - had the defender not intervened the ball would have been Enyeama's.

Still BRAWO!!!

Colombia has just two world class players. Falcao and maybe Vidal or so. While the Ivorians can boast of having Yaya Toure, Didier Drogba(however old, he's still a force to be reckoned with), Gervinho and many others.

The main threat in that group is Japan. But i trust the ivorians to defeat them.

Vidal is Chilean.

What's so tough about Cameroon's group apart from having Brasil? They play Croatia in the tropical Manuas, while they face Mexico in equatorial Natal. Mexico barely qualified, while Croatia struggled against Iceland.

Meanwhile Cameroon just thrashed Tunisia to qualify.

It won't. It's only a league record.

Unfortunately that's a league game. Lille is already out of the French Cup.

Besides, the PSG game will only be important if Enyeama will want to beat the European record of 1390 minutes - he would have to keep a clean sheet in the next 4 games.
