That goal was by Kim Ojo was in the Cup, not the league. Kim Ojo is on 12 goals for the season in the league. He has also scored 3 goals in 6 cup games (yesterday was his third). BTW That was the semifinal game, so Brann will now play the final and then it will be Europa League action for them. --- I don't really understand why Okoronkwo is being called up by Siasia, when other Nigerians have been way better in the same leagues, BTW: Anthony Ujah moved to Mainz after his goalstorm in Norway and has fallen off the radar. |
Thanks for the confidence vote. Felt that we should have some place where we can at least notice how the Eagles are doing, Besides - if I didn't fill in I'm sure people would have. Great news! CAF has centralised TV rights. That means there will be more matches televised (and not just those with North African countries) and even countries like Togo, Burkina Faso or Nigeria will have to chance to get easy quality access to the qualifiers! At least I hope so. http://www.goal.com/en/news/89/africa/2011/09/20/2674422/caf-approve-centralised-tv-and-marketing-rights-for-2014 |
I can't understand. This could be such a big event for African football fans, but CAF doesn't even invest in having these matches aired? I'm sure they could find enough television interest across the continent to make it financially worthwhile, How much can it cost? 50000? 100000 USD per game? They could sell it as an investment so they make no profit, 20000-30000 USD per television station is small change, |

Thx! Can't find a live feed for the VVV-Venlo - Heerenveen game. A shame because they have 3 Nigerian strikers up front! |

Dutch league not competitive?By the way. All Nigerian fans should put huge interest in VVV-Venlo. It now has 4 first team Nigerian players: 3 strikers: Ahmed Musa Michael Uchebo (over 2m tall!) Uche Nwofor (straight from the U20 World Championship) and a left back: Alex Emenike And those Nigerians are really kicking Bottom at the moment. Nwofor scored on his debut for the club, while Ahmed Musa has been pivotal for the team. And they are currently whooping the Bottom of PSV (with Rabiu Ibrahim on the bench BTW)! Really a great game! Been watching Ahmed Musa and this guy is a world class player in the making! Really classy attacker. |

09/09/2011 (Friday) CAF Champions League Al Hilal - FC Enyimba 1:2 68' Valentine Nwabili (FC Enyimba) (1:1) 90' Samuel Tswanya (FC Enyimba) (1:2) |
No, I'm only following the score! By the way: Match ends 1:2 for Enyimba. Uche Kalu scores an extra time penalty which means that Enyimba win the group and are ready for the semifinal with a game in hand! |
80 minutes gone - ENyimba equalize through Valentin 1:1 |
Back to 5:5 and the third final period around the corner. |
Ibenegbu pulled down, gets a penalty, then misses, but 15 seconds later scores to make up for his miss! 5:4 Nigeria |
ANd its back level at 4:4 |
Nigeria in the lead! 4:3 |
Senegal put in a brave performance which saw the match 4:4 with one minute left on the clock against one of the title favourites. A Portugal player clearly blocks the ball with his hand preventing a goal scoring opportunity. The call was so obviously obvious it was unbelievable that the call was not made. That would have been a penalty and had Senegal scored they almost surely would be in the semis. The match ended 4:4 and Senegal lost in the penalty shootout. |
Well they won, so they will be playing Brasil in reward ![]() |
