AAOL: Hello boss.
What is your eligibility status saying?
What is your background check saying?
What is your additional document review saying?.
I think we should all understand these questions to know the stage of our application so that we can reduce the pressure and relax a bit.
CIC has stated clearly the stages to be:
Stage 1: First review
Stage 2: Background Check
Stage 3: Review of eligibility
Stage 4: Medical mail.
From my analysis so far, once your application get to stage 3 and remains there for a very long time, then you have a very good chance of getting approval. So far, from what I have observed, applications at this stage usually get positive response.
If nothing has changed on your application and processing time has passed, I will advise you keep sending reminder mails to CIC. Attach screenshot of your online tool as well.
I believe God will show up in this coming week. Congrats to all of us waiting for trv.
NB: my personal opinion here. My app is in going to its 17th week, my review of eligibility started showing processing first week in June and my background check changed to processing second week in July, so in my case, stage 3 started before stage 2. Expecting my medical mail to drop soon. The truth is we don't know how CIC process applications, we can't even try to guess how they process it. Let's just keep praying, hoping and speaking positive things concerning our applications. The wait is killing though but God's favor will keep speaking for us. It will end in praise |

bluegirl080115: January = 6 months plus ( more than 24 weeks) February = 5 months plus ( more than 20 weeks) March = 4 months plus (more than 16 weeks)
Please if it's an online application use the CIC website to fill a form about your application
Paper application = kindly link to online via cic website ( there's a good chance you will see the latest update or outcome of your application) but if nothing (which is very rare) send a mail to accra.immigration@international.gc.ca
For those that has passed 13 weeks please kindly mail the embassy
There are 2 ways of doing it 1) via form in cic site 2) via email But kindly indicate your application number, passport no, full names and date of submission, medical email date (if applicable)
Cheers They've done all these and yet no positive response, keeps saying application still under processing |

Austinpee4: You don't have to worry about that. And no, it won't be an issue of misrepresentation. You already answered yes and declared you were refused a visa whether you ticked one box or both. It is now left to them to open their records and ascertain when and what happened. Alright, thank you |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by marvel4love: 4:06pm On Jun 28, 2017 |
Austinpee4: That part and question of the study permit form as emboldened refers and can only be answered if an applicant applied to either extend their visa, permit and was refused while in canada or was denied entry at the border.
Also, dual intent is allowed by IRCC as long as both applications are not for the same purpose. What if you've been refused study permit before? Isn't that applying to enter Canada? I've been refused before and while reapplying I ticked yes to that question cause I felt it meant I've applied to enter Canada before. Hope this won't be an issue of misrepresentation o? Though I explained that I applied last year and was refused for purpose of visit. @Austinpee and other gurus |

Complete application or not If it's incomplete application please know that your application will be visited 4 times at least so that will take time. Please what do you mean by application will be visited 4 times? Besides we still have February and March applicants that haven't heard anything from CIC. |

Austinpee4: The rate of refusal for 'PURPOSE OF VISIT ' is becoming alarming! Program consistency, masters admission, PHD admission, consistent work experience is seemingly not just sufficient again. Everybody is now susceptible to this reason of refusal! I have seen in a couple of days refusals that have left me speechless!
I'm thinking our overal plan and reason for going for the program MUST be just be beyond convincing. We must begin to pay enough attention to our applications and emphasis the need to pursue further study while also stating objectively what we stand to get with it. This interest of further study show be in such a way that it was a planned step. From undergraduate study through to current activity coupled with our achievements prior to applying should show significant progression. This way, our intent will appear more delibrate than situational. The current country situation is not helping matters and the scrutiny of visa(all categories) applicants is becoming outrageous. So any move will be subjective.
I guess CIC now pay attention to intent rather that consistencies of some sort. I'll advise that we do more work in making sure our intent both with our intended program and after study is overwhelmingly outlined and evidenced through showing recent achievements, short term goals as well as the longer term ones reflecting that a higher degree would further add to them.
Like i mentioned in one of my posts recently, admission is purely meeting academic requirements while the study visa is all in one. It goes beyond having acceptance or funding from a school. The Why, if, when, and how must all add up because God's mercy and grace is always available to us when you do our part. It's like a principle we must follow in one way or the other.
It's well! This is becoming scary o, but the only way we can show our intent is our program consistency and what we write in our SOP, so a VO can just choose not to believe whatever we write in our SOP? I think there's more to this that we don't know. It is well |
