in nutshell infinix phone sells more than tecno these days despite tecno fierce marketing strategy these are the reasons :


1 Affordable with quality : it's no more news that infinix hot note pro was one of the highest sold smart phone in Nigeria and Africa, people saw the phone as a must have because of it's features and price.
infinix hot note pro comes with 4000mAh battery 32gb rom 2gb ram 5.5" 8mp camera and lots more at less than 26k now tell me any tecno phone with 2gb ram at 26k talk more of 4000mAh battery so why won't it sell like pure water?
tecno phantom 5 was marketed like crazy including some people faking stories just to market it more but yet it didn't receive a breakthrough because in the midst of this harsh economy someone will rather go for galaxy note 3 which will have a nice selling value in 3-4 years time than tecno phantom 5 which the value decreases as soon as you open the carton
ok why will I buy boom j8 when I can get gionee, infinix note 2 xiaomi and co with more features at the same price.
yes I appreciate the effort of tecno in Africa but they should know that they have rivalries and they need to up their game or go into oblivion like Nokia.
you don't see infinix or gionee with such noise because their product quality and price do the talking
an adage says that good market sells itself.



2. poor marketing strategy and unnecessary comparison :
to be honest am a huge fan of tecno till they start comparing themselves with some high end devices like Samsung and the almighty apple.
yes am a huge fan of Android and will choose android over iPhone anytime infact I'll choose iPhone, sell it and buy android and still have some change left but you can never compare iPhone to android when it comes to processor though snapdragon are competing but apple are still baba when it comes to processor.
ok imagine where Samsung running latest snapdragon competing with Apple then tecno with mtk Chipset sets in isn't that funny?
I started disliking tecno because of that and i believe many are also angry at that useless marketing strategy. this is what you'll never see the likes of infinix or gionee do because they knew that they are not high end device and we love them for whom they are.
gionee even have some device running snapdragon yet you won't see them comparing and people patronize them.

But Op there is no harm in comparison, phones can be compared especially if they are at pal. other aspects like ease of use, the feel when you hold it bla bla bla. Infinix is Tecno's baby, and they will remain so

seriously people just saying j8 and giving absolutely zero reasons y.well I think the j8 has more megapixels(correct me if am wrong its 16 right) and the note 2 has 13,don't know which is better as other things like sensor size and software processing are also involved but the j8 should capture more details and have better quality when u zoom in.the note 2 has a far bigger battery 4000mah vs 3000mah on the j8 so d note 2 has the better battery life among both devices.infinix also win in terms of screen size as at 6 inch u can fit more content,have more screen estate for games etc bit the j8 will have the sharper screen of both as both displays are 720p the pixels are less stretched on d j8 5.5 inch screen.design wise according to people the j8 has metal sides and a plastic back the note 2 is made of plastic but has very nice screen to body ratio(very slim bezels left and right of the screen) so whichever u prefer. of course from it's name the boom j8 should have better sou d quality. and lastly infinix has better software update and the note 2 is already receiving marshmallow(android 6.0)update while d j8 is on lollipop 5.1 and with even the phantom 5 yet to get 6.0 it is possible that the j8 won't get it(based on tecno history which hopefully will change soon). that's it,but I think d biggest selling point for both devices(they use the same CPU and GPU) will be battery life for the note 2 or sound quality for the j8

who is complaining about its responsiveness? Only Tecno phantom 5 can compare with this baby in terms of responsiveness. Unless the person saying this is a learner.

Op I got this techno boom j8 yesterday oo, the price was N41000 but I was amazed with the kinda speaker n headset that came with it.... it's was kinda huge caz the box re to big... and tho I like everything bout the phone including camera.... the problem is "i'm an iphone n blackberry fan" I hope techno ain't tryin to steal my feelin for those 2 brand...

Btw battery fuqqin last than I expected... already got 30 app downloaded on it, including avast full mobile app, drop box and pretty much of other fantasy games. I think ppl should go for j8.

That's the more reason why it's going to be hard for me to spend 200,000 on a phone, with what I have presently as cash asset.
