Nigerian international Odion Ighalo and his mother seem inseparable, as both have been seen together on several occasions. The Super Eagles striker will do anything to flaunt his mom, and she was seen praying for him as he departed for his base in Saudi Arabia. In the latest footage he shared on his Instagram Story, the Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia striker was held by his mother, who looked emotional as he set to depart.

She could be seen praying for the player, who has been successful in his footballing career.

The 33-year-old has made 37 appearances for the Super Eagles, scoring 16 goals since earning his first international call-up in 2015. Ighalo has featured for some top clubs, including Watford and Manchester United of England, as well as Chinese Super League sides Changchun Yatai and Shanghai Shenhua. He moved to Saudi Arabia in January 2021 and following his staggering goal-scoring form for the club, rival club Al Hilal snapped him up.

Controversial Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh may be successful in her other endeavours especially acting, but she says that she missed her initial calling.

In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the actress says that her original plan in life was to go into the gospel ministry.

Although she has taken up other professions, she says the door is not closed, as she may still answer the call.

“I’m an opportunist with this thing called acting or entertainment. But God has ordained that step already. I was swimming in a swimming pool.

“I was a church girl, going to be a pastor. I was supposed to be a pastor. I still might. It depends on where God is taking me to.”

In 2017, shortly after her divorce from businessman Churchill Olakunle, the actress announced that she was now born again, declaring herself ‘Radical for Jesus’.

Ms Dikeh, who has been absent from the movie industry, then explained what being born again meant.

Highlighting what it means to be born again five years ago, she said it is about living a fun-filled, happy and joyous life knowing that the almighty God is on one’s side.

Self-acclaimed investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has reacted after her first son, Enitan, allegedly took to social media to publicly disown her.

It was reported (Not Naija News) that Enitan, who is a level 35 Cosplayer with Instagram handle, @eni2171987 took to the social media platform to call out his mother.

Tears of joy and songs of praise rented the air at the home of a Nigerian couple as they welcomed a set of twins after being married for 24 years.


The man and his wife were celebrated by friends and family who showed up upon hearing the great news.

Nonye Akah Ijeoma, sister to the man, took to Facebook to call on well-meaning Nigerians to join the family in rejoicing.


She shared a video of them celebrating and singing worship songs, writing;

A Jamaican man has revealed that he’s become homeless in the United Kingdom courtesy of his wife.


He narrated how he brought her to the UK and she took advantage of the system which favours women, to ensure that he lost his home.

The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) on Tuesday said the exposure of plastic bottles to sunlight can increase the risk of cancer, hormonal imbalance, and gastrointestinal issues, among other health conditions.

A statement signed by the General Manager of LASCOPA, Afolabi Solebo said the government plans to engage sellers and buyers of plastic bottled drinks through advocacy and sensitisation programmes on the dangers of such practices.

Solebo noted that the Lagos State Government has no intention of banning the sale of plastic bottled drinks as stated in a social media report.

“The Government is keen on ensuring that both consumers and traders are educated and enlightened on the health hazard of consuming plastic bottled drinks that have been exposed to sunlight,” he said.

While informing that the essence of the display of plastic bottles by sellers is to create awareness of the availability of their product or merchandise, he urged manufacturers and producers alike to make available alternative dummy bottles to retailers of plastic bottle drinks for use as product display instead of the actual plastic bottled drinks being exposed to sunlight.
