When his date becomes current, he will file for AOS (Form I-485) in the US. He will need to file form I-824 (Follow to join) at the same time for US Consulate in Lagos to be informed. He should file both forms together with USCIS. Once the I-485 is approved, USCIS will also approve the form I-824 (sometimes at the same time as the approval of form I-485, sometimes at a later date. On the approval of the form I-824, USCIS will inform NVC who will then send the Welcome Letter to you.

My husband's petition was approved in December 2023 and he is in the USA. Myself and our daughter are in Nigeria and we are to do consular processing but I am yet to get a welcome message from NVC. So I am wondering that is it until his date becomes current and he files for AOS that I will get the welcome mail from NVC. Please help

Was there any form of visitation from their agent to your home/work place?

Read more about the "follow to join" process. I think he will need to file i824 with his i485.

I didn't get a separate mail that I passed the phone interview. I just got a mail that I passed and should come for the interview. Possible it's in batches. Since you said you got a mail that you will informed of the next stage.

Yes, it's holding tomorrow. Were you told you passed the phone interview? Cos I have a friend who also did phone interview but was not contacted after.

Entry Level - EL grade after two months training
EGDP - The next level to EL grade after the one year programme.

You can go to their Lagos centre. After explaining, you'd be allowed to write the test. I've been in the same situation before. Was scheduled for Abuja but I was in Lagos at that time. I went to the Lagos Centre and I was allowed to write after explaining myself. So, you can try.

He didn't reply the mail I sent him 4days ago. Guess I'll have to let this one go. I sent him another one now, just in case. Can't travel all the way to PH because of test, not even interview.
