No I'm not Lawrence but Akinwale. I'm not happy when I see people fall out of Love in a relationship cos it hurts. But 55 years down the lane, we are still in chains: handcuffed by the consciousness of the monster called corruption, shackled by the consciousness of tribalism and religious bias.Our patriotic sanity is being plagued by these monsters. Now our Jerusalem lieth waste, the walls of Jerusalem is shattered, our nation is in a great reproach. Now a new Nigeria had been birthed; one that is different from what our heroes presented to us from the very beginning. A new nation where corruption is celebrated, a new nation where tribalism and religious bias has become a determining factor of our national consciousness.
The past generation has failed us; they have left no foundation for the present generation to build on.
It has become a challenge to the present generation; we have condemned ourselves to perpetual spectators in our own generation.
Enough is enough, how long shall we continue to hide under the guise of tribalism and religious bias. Our nation is our responsibility. The destiny of Nigeria is in our hands.
Now is the time for us to arise and rebuild the shattered wall of Jerusalem: it is time for us to rebuild the structure that recognize our individuality, a structure that encourages healthy competition among the federating unit. Let us arise and rebuild a structure that would liberate our consciousness from the monsters plaguing our patriotic sanity.
