@ busy_body, how much do you think you would sell a car marked "nigerian used" on nairaland? how many people dey even look am sef? |
Once the car is marked "American" or "Canadian" specs, a VIN should follow compulsorily! |
Angelheart, Whenever you are posting a thread, learn never to generalise! How many Nigerian men have you met/dated? What are your "facts" based on? Another point of correction, Nigerians are not rude; they get pissed off when people don not communicate effectively. We believe you should go over your write up properly before posting. Why waste time figuring out what could have been expressed more lucidly. Some of the items you posted are true, some not, while others are weird. There is no part of the world without players, so don't narrow it down to Nigerian men. Women no dey play us sef? Some ladies are even more of players than the men. It's a game (males and females play), like they say: don't hate the player, hate the game! Enjoy |
papabomboy, abeg u get molue SPORT? na that one i want! |
Pics and details please! One of your phone numbers is not complete. |
@ ziontrain, good contribution. Honesty and Transparency is the watchword here. The major reason why dealers don't post VINs is just to maximize their profit. You buy a cheap, "accidented" car, do a make-over and sell it as expensive as the ones with no accident history. The unsuspecting buyers pay premium prices for such vehicles. I see a lot of tokunbo vehicles whose airbags have gone off. They are neatly re-done after accidents and sold without the airbags as if they were present. Not ALL accidents can be captured by the VINs but let's at least have a check in place. Shouldn't the "accidented" cars be sold cheaper? Comments please , |
Inspired_m, thanks for "compensating" Inema. Do you by chance have any of the following vehicles in stock? 1. 2001 Nissan Altima XLE: leather seats, , full options 2. 2003/2004 Toyota Corolla: full options. if you do, mail me the prices and pics on poshdre@yahoo.co.uk Thanks |
Inspired, any finance arrangement for the corolla, from your end? I need one but confused if to get one or a brand new Chevrolet Optra. Please advise. |
@ mybad, I never said anything was wrong with the interior. Just wanted to see what it looked like on the inside. Cheers |
Thanks for your contribution. Its actually got me thinking in a new direction. |
Well done, inspired_m, you may not need deliverance as I earlier proposed .I appreciate your present humility: it's a virtue you'll not regret having. Thumbs up, bro and keep it clean. Regards. |
Hi all, there've been several debates about the durability of Korean cars on Nairaland. I happened to stumble on a US car rating website that uses criteria like: 1. Performance 2. Interior Design 3. Exterior Design 4. Safety 5. Reliability to classify various brands of cars. Click on the link below (or copy n paste in your web browser): http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/rankings/Affordable-Small-Cars/ This link is for affordable small cars like Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic etc It amazes me to see these Korean cars doing so well, while the likes of Toyota Corolla ranks 17th behind most of these so-called fragile Korean cars. Brief comments/ suggestions/ contributions please. |
what year is this? can we have pics of the interior? |
Thank God for his infinite mercies. I guess there is no where marked as "safe", any paranoid could show up just anywhere at any time. God is our shield!!! Na wa o, person no go drive brand new car again ![]() |
thanks ziontrain you contributions to "sanity" on the auto section of nairaland are note-worthy. |

Thumbs up Jenju! Can you help with the price of a 2007 Hyundai Elantra and accent? It appears the ones sent to Nigeria are stripped down. Won't mind if they are used. |
@ dejicool, N500,000 cash down nko? |
Guy, you can have tons of fun if you decide to go to Ghana!!! If you go by ABC luxury, buses your return ticket will be under N30,000. By air, you'll spend under N150,000. You can also get good (hotels or Inns) for under $100/ night. So by ABC plus good low-budget hotel is N30,000 + N91,000 = N121,000. The balance N279,000 can take care of your feeding et al. Advice to poster: Be proud of what you have, do not go borrowing because you want to impress anyone. It's better not to owe after your wedding. It's not the honey moon destination that makes the wedding work so why no do a low-budget one for now. When you have extra bucks, you may tour the world with your heart throb!!! |
Well spoken, Inspired_m. It's a good thing you have decided to post the VINs of all your cars for intending buyers to verify b4 buying. I hope you three settle your differences "out of court , nairaland"! |
@ paribus, the VIN is not on the windscreen. If you change it, the VIN will still be there. |
