Manual tranny is very good for those who want absolute control of the car. However, auto tranny is convenient to drive, driving made easy! Check this previous topic: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-60077.0.html NB. Auto transmission is not for "lazy" people as popularly believed. It's for people who love convenience! |
Keep keeping it real. Thumbs Up. |
Oh ok, Thanx. |
@ Ollay, thanx, noted! But I believe one should not make the other sad by posting negative, baseless, comments especially when it affects some other guy's happiness. When the poster said hyundai owners and fans, I believe he meant fans of Elantra. One man's meat is another man's poison. The poster likes what he bought, agreed? Just my opinion. I think I have over-flogged this issue. @ tyor, slow your roll, make we no insult each other,ok? We all dey learn. Thanx. Have a great weekend. |
Thanks for the out bursts ![]() The stress level in Lagos is way too high, Nairaland is a good stress buster ![]() Just can't stop laughing!!! What is wrong with Hyundai Elantra? NB the poster: ELANTRA USERS & FANS IN THE HOUSE GIVE ME YOUR OPINION ON THIS CAR. If you were not an Hyundai user or a fan, you shouldn't have spoken that way making the poster have buyers' remorse? I am not the poster. Take it easy bros, abeg no vex, na play I dey play! ![]() |
Your asking price was 1.7 million and your "trimmed" price is 1.7 million! You may wish to "trim" it more. ![]() |
You don"t have to be rude to express yourself. Na your motor? Wetin concern you with depreciation value? The poster did all these surveys before settling for it. Don't be a spoilsport! I have not attacked you o, all I asked for was ONE reason why its a useless! So far you've not given ANY! You strike me as one who flows with the tide, you don't even have a rationale behind your comments! They say Hyundais are bad, so you pick it up from there and help escalate the news you know next to nothing about! @ pyramid777, keep building "pyramids" with your Elantra jare. No mind bad belle people. |
Mr Krackles, what do you have against the Hyundai Elantra? Internet reviews and users have confirmed it's a good car. No one said its the best! Can you please tell us 1 (one) thing that's wrong with that car? Just one! And I didn't see anywhere in his post that he wants to use his car for Formular 1 or Lagos-Abuja, it's just to get around town and occassionally travel, fiam! Na so people dey buy v6 Camry to "travel" from Ikeja to Lagos Island daily! What a waste of resources! The poster sure knows Coscharis motors, he's also heard of Benzos, Audis, Infinitis, VWs et al He's just buying what's affordable at this point in time! When the time comes he'll drive luxury cars too! Learn to congratulate people! |
Bros, there is absolutely no basis whatsoever to compare the golf with the other two. A new golf is almost the same price as a new VW Jetta. It hovers between N3.2 and N3.5 million. |
@ Noah69, have you ever owned a Chevy before? Though these new cars are not strong, its generic. The Toyotas, Hondas are also made with these "plastic" bodies. I saw an okada hit an '06 Toyota Corolla and you'd think it was an SUV that hit it. The whole fender was changed!!! This is a matter of choice. He may choose to buy the Chevy, use it for 3 years, when the warranty expires, he sells of and buys anoda car. Not everyone wants to drive a car for btw 5-10 years. I have never driven any tokunbo or more than a year b4 selling. If you have anything against a certain brand, that doesn't make it junk. At least you don't have any proof, whatsoever! One man's meat is another man's poison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
@ igwe 1, se you go help me buy them? @ tolu10, why do you think that Hyundai/Kia are crap? some guys are having a nice time driving them arnd. There are Kia/Hyundai devotees like we have for BMWs too. It's an economy car, so we don't expect them to compete with German cars!!! Na wetin person money reach e go buy. Don't you think the same guy would love to drive a Bentley, Infiniti, Benz, BMW, VW cars/jeeps? If you want to condemn something, let see the proof! As per airbags, we have 6 Toyota Corollas (pool cars0 bought from Elizade without traces of sirbags in them, no be only Kias. @ sojioguns, thanx for your contribution but please carry out a survey on the Kia Rios from Dana Motors and let me know if you ever find any with airbags. I called Dana Motors and they said its from the Cerrato upwards that have airbags! NB. I don't own an Asian car but will get my Hyundai Elantra pretty soon! |

@ promise, thanx for your mature response. My motive was to get the seller to clarify the status of the car. You know I could name my price and he concedes too. Nothing's really too low or high. It can be bought higher than 1.75m and a lot less too. I'll Keep catching my fun on the auto section of nairaland. Cheers |
@ sojioguns, are you sure they are the same car? please help clarify asap. My observation: Hyundai Accent has airbags, no cd player. Kia Rio has cd player, no airbags. tnx |
Inspired_men. post pics pls |
@ promise72, I'll suggest you read properly before jumping into conclusion! Three questions for you: 1. Did you see a Lagos plate number (MZ 985 KJA) on that car or not? 2. Did the poster indicate it's fresh out of the port or Naija used? 3. Do you have to "clear" a Naija used ride too? If it's been registered, why would it go for N1.75m (same price of a fresh-out of-the-port 2005 Toyota Corolla)? Justice, fairness and equity MUST reign on Nairaland! @ poster, please clarify if it been used in Naija or not. One love! |
Hi babeisme, please help check this VIN out: SARRFYWZXWD244584 |
Inspired_m is right with his Accord/Camry analysis. Hondas (Accord, Civic) are a bit better in terms of performance, exterior design, interior design, safety and reliability. Check out these links for detailed comparison(s)/ analysis. 1. affordable small cars (civic, corolla etc): http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/rankings/Affordable-Small-Cars/ 2. affordable mid-size cars (accord, camry etc): http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/rankings/Affordable-Midsize-Cars/ However, they are both "wonderfully" and "fearfully" made machines!!! Hope this is self-explanatory. |

@ Inspired_m, Selling 100 cars and taunting others (who haven't sold any) is not the right way to go. Give the glory to God, not to yourself. Just calmly do your thing the best way you can. @ ziontrain, e be like say you go chill at this juncture. Nairalanders have heard enough of VINs and no VINs, let them decide! person wen wan buy/drive coffin, make e buy/drive and vice versa. I believe we've heard more than enough of these fraud/ no fraud issues to make wise decisions. Let PEACE reign in the auto section of nairaland o! |
