How? That "they" don't like it, doesn't mean they should condemn it. |
I bet people who don't "like" this car have never had any experience/ encounter with it before. How many Kia Picantos have you seen in accidents before? How many Kia automobiles have you guys seen packed up on the streets before? The person wen decide to buy kia Picanto get his/her reasons. E see C-class, BMW 3 series etc before making a decision, Budget! Remember 1 man's meat is another's poison. In European countries, the minis prevail! My advice? If you want to use it around town, get it. Fuel economy? Excellent! Please go for a free "test" ride and make a decision, ok? |
@ akinalabi, you can get it same week! I paid on monday (last week) and got it on wednesday same week! They have enough in stock. You won't regret owning one at all! |
Well spoken, Gifo! |
Please what electrical/ mechanical gremlins are we talking about here? It's an economy car not a luxury/ fast car! If you want to make 140-260, why not opt for a BMW, MB, Jaguar etc Depreciation-wise, all new cars depreciate fast! Though the make/brand plays a very vital role, usage matters a lot too! Toyota went through this "criticism" phase when the started in the Nigerian auto emporium too. They had the likes of Peugeot, Benz, Volvo etc to contend with then. A few decades down the line, look what they have achieved here! Let's give the green horns a chance to soar (reviews even rate the higher than some of these "established"/ complacent brands! Just my opinion. |
and your email address is , ? |
well , ![]() how'd it make the headlines again? |
@ lante 1, the auto is N2,295,000 and that's what he's advertising. The manual is, however, N1.9 million |
@ lante1, a brand new auto tranny is N2,295,000 while the manual is N1,895,000. He's advertising an auto tranny. |
Thanx, inspired. I'll reach 'em right away. |
Thanx, bro. |
So what tips can u give to forestall future occurence(s) of over-heating, sir? |
@ inspired, Are there any peculiar problem(s) with the Hyundai Elantras? Do you think they are tight cars? |
Tnx for your prompt response. Think, i'd either sell it off asap or use it till it dies! Just that the over-heating is becoming too rampant , had 3 last week!!! Thanks, bro. |
Thanx, bro! You were saying something about the k-series on some old thread. Can you advice which less "stressful" engine, apart from the k-series, (from Honda or Rover) will fit into the Rover 200. Would the Rover 25 engine fit into a Rover 200? Someone suggested the Honda Civic engine, but can it power the Rover 200? |
Anyone at home? |
Hi, Nigerian spec Chevrolet Aveos don't have any airbags on them. Not even a trace! They also do not come with cds!!! Only the Chevrolet Optra upwards come with airbags in Nigeria! GM regulations don't seem to apply to brand new cars shipped to Nigeria. That's why people prefer to buy tokunbo American spec cars vis-a-vis some of the "junks" sold as brand new in Nigeria , the tokunbo cars are more robust with all the features present. |
Hi all, please could anyone recommend a very good Rover mechanic (for 1998 Rover 200) who works on Rover (not Honda) engines? You contributions will be highly appreciated. Regards, |
good luck, man! |
@ inspired, make i tell my wife say "special" anointing service dey for men only? ![]() u guys should roll along and catch your fun. Congrats on your sale (Inspired) and congrats on your purchase (Deji). Inspired, you fit show for our end of year party for office tomorrow o! Nice weekend. |
@seanpoe, the cars at are the port as we speak. Should be available for pick-up before Xmas, God willing. |

Good, both of you have set the stage for finalizing plans. Dejicool, congrats in advance. Them go hear am! Hope my commission is under-way too, lol , just kidding o! |
@ area ![]() |
@ area boy, am proly doing course 101, lol. How come its strange to hear people (like inspired, jenju, viperman, babeisme et al) advertise cars as V4, they always say 4 cylinders but always refer to 6 cylinders as v6. It's conventional to hear 4 cylinders and very odd to hear v4, and I have NEVR found v4 inscribed behind any car too! Though its 4 cylinders. Catch my drift? |
@ area boy, tnx 4 ur contribution. I was trying 2 explain dt the v6 engines have 6 cylinders, we wer not talking abt d orientation but the number of cylinders. d more d cylinders, d more powerful d engine, and vthe complicated it gets 4 our mechanics here, plus more fuel too. abi? pls correct me if am wrong. Also do we have d v- orientation for 4 cylinder engines? thanx |
v6 engines are more expensive 2 maintain plus they sip more fuel cos of their capacity. I will suggest a 4 cylinder engine if u do a lot of city driving. Also, a lot of Naija mechanics haven't got a hang of v6 engines! v6 engines = 6 cylinders, they have 2 more cylinders than the 4 cylinders hence consume more fuel (dt explains a 4 cylinder nissan altima with a 2.5litre engine consuming less fuel than its 3.5 litre, v6 counterpart). I'll re-emphasize v6 engines are more complicated, sip more fuel and are more expensive 2 maintain. |
if you get used to automatic cars first, it's like using voice recognition software before learning to type if there's voice recognition, why bother with the typing? Auto users buy dry cell batteries where you can tell if the battery is getting bad, ok or very good. Why bother to push/ jump-start your car? How much be battery compared to the stress of driving a manual car in Lagos traffic? We all know auto is more convenient, those who love "aerobics" may go on with their manual trannies! Driving auto is less stressful, and the stress level in Lagos is ever-increasing so why not drive and auto and relieve your stress. As per the faster pick-up time, we can match that with the auto, besides na formular 1 tracks we dey. You start up first bit we'll surely catch up with u later. You guys ever wondered why the auto trannies are more expensive? Don't you think the auto-makers think its more comfortable? I stand to be corrected. |
@ Meristem, it is called driving! We who use Autos, don't have to do our "aerobics" while we drive.Just kidding, if driving has been simplified, why "stick" to the "harder" way? |
@ Igwe, na wa for u sef! @ poster, we have 4 cylinders, 6 cylinders (V6), 8 cylinders (V8) et al. We, however, don't call the 4 cylinders V4. The 4 cylinders are easier to maintain, more fuel efficient but the V6s are more powerful! |
Mr Krackles, have a nice weekend. |
