In the hope that you get my proposition, I suggest that for us to conclude that all bodies fall with thesame acceleration, we must recall the first law of Sir Isaac Newton: A body will continue in its state of continual rest of motion unless affected by a force. Now the 5N will start falling with a force, which will in effect mean an increase in its mass will increase (its inertia) due to the force that has acted on it, but the 10N force will also undergo a positive change in inertia as well which is proportional to its force and mass. So the excess inertia will cancel out and the bodies will be forced to fall to the core of the earth with thesame acceleration. i.e with increasing speed comes increasing inertia which means increasing mass, since mass is a measure lof inertia, , , Just know that the more the inertia, the more difficult it is for a force to act on it, I really do hope you get me, Post back if you are in need of clarifications, |
Sorry, guy, the feather and the stone are just an illustration, If you understand my earlier statement, you would understand that what I meant was why the 5N should land at the same point in time with the 10N. The known laws dont account for that. Read statement again and if you are having problems with my declarations, feel free to ask. The question is a simple test of wits, I know the answer, and it requires a basic knowledge of Newtonian physics to grasp. |
To my fellow science colleagues, I was thinking about the effects of gravity on the acceleration of bodies on earth. If Newton's law of gravitational attraction was correct, then the force (mass x acceleration) should be dependent completely on the product of the masses and distance between two bodies in isolated space, then logically, the stone should land before the feather. Since the stone, with high mass (relatively speaking), will produce a greater force when placed at the same distance with the feather than the feather would, and then its mass x acceleration all over again. But strangely this isn't so, why ? |
I once posted, or started a thread as the case may be, on a possible strategy to eliminate harmful disease-causing blood sucking mosquitoes from my immediate environment. My reason for thinking about these enemies is because of my personal woes as a student where mosquitoes roam free. I proposed that selective killing of these enemies i.e., killing the strongest and leaving the weak to mate 4 the next generation will ensure that mosquitoes and their offspring will be generally weak ( non science students should read more on NATURAL SELECTION). But after careful considerations on my theoretical assumptions, it appears to be impractical, based on the fact that humans do not possess the necessary traits to view the genetic make-up of organisms. I then propose that instead, we should use inbreeding to our advantage. We should close our doors and ensure that the home which we live is made into a sort of excluded community, this will not only prevent potentially harmful mosquitoes from entering the house it could also prevent fresh genes from mixing with the resident mosquitoes. Results of inbreeding. * Reduced fertility both in litter size and sperm viability * Increased genetic disorders * Fluctuating facial asymmetry * Lower birth rate * Higher infant mortality * Slower growth rate * Smaller adult size * Loss of immune system function This caused the severe hemorrhage that threatens the English royal family, Charles Darwin's descendants, Lions' production of deformed sperm{ due to the superiority of a single male leader that mates with all females} etc, I am open to criticism, |

You know what guys, I really appreciate that you are giving me all these advice. I am gonna try to be more friendly, ask her out and let her give me a reply. I am tripping 4 her. What i just hope for is that she is as good on the inside as she is on the inside. Know what I mean, fellas. |
Guys, based on your own personal experience, what is the best bank to use in Nigeria. I have heard that I should try Gtb. I am so tired of UBA. |
tai2, it is perfectly normal to see a girl, admire her, and want her to be with you. It is a perfectly normal natural process. FYI< I think I am old enough to date, Maybe, if I send her some UNITS then, ![]() |
There is this girl who I think is incredibly beautiful, even though my fellow guys don't think so. So I worked up the courage and I went to talk to da girl. She answered me warmly and sweetly and I collected her phone number. I call her everyday and she answers me warmly. One thing that baffles me is that she never finds the time to call or text me like i do to her. I think she would be dumb not to know how i feel about her, even though I have not said anything in that line. Does this girl really like me or is she just answering me not to sound rude? What if she has a man in her life already? Peeps, advice me, should her just ask her out or somethin'. |

I just deleted a huge file on my desktop, nearly 900mb, but I noticed no difference. What if I download an antivirus? Avast? to replace the default Norton. |
No I have not checked that, but there was a time the hard drive crashed and it was replaced with another one. I thank my stars that I have backed up all my data. So what do you think I should do now? |
Help, my laptop suddenly slowed down on me, the computer usage is usually up to around 90% to 100%. What should i do, because this has happened to my previous laptop and I had to format it because I thought it was a virus. I really need help, what is the difference between a slow laptop and an archaic desktop computer. |

Vasectomy is the process in which the vas deferentia of a male is severed to prevent efficient ejaculation During vasectomy, the vas deferentia, a cord that conveys spermatozoa from the scrotum to the ejaculate, are severed. This means that spermatozoa won't reach the egg because it has never left the penis. A vasectomy is a very minor operation. Because the testes are not destroyed, they still release testosterone ( the male sex hormone) and still manufacture sperm. This ensures that the man will have no reduction in libido. According to statistics, men do not want to admit that they have had vasectomies and wish that they could take it back, while women(mostly wives) like the idea. The reversal is very expensive, and usually not successful. This is as a result of the fact that the body produces antibodies to destroy the excess sperm cells that cannot be absorbed by the body. So, in case of a change of mind from the vasectomy, the male might be rendered infertile for the rest of his life. This is where I drop the curtain, the question is now that, will Nairaland men undergo vasectomy. ![]() |
Thanks very much |
Hello, hackers. How can I hack my Nokia N95 V11.0.026. I want to download some unsupported symbian games. The guy that wants to hack it is forming for me. ![]() |
Mosquitoes are the known organisms that transport the malaria parasite plasmodium. Taking into consideration the theory of natural selection, the survival of the fittest. The reason why I decided to post this was because of the shower of bites I received after phcn work their magic. If we use ordinary hands or books to kill the mosquitoes, the surviving mosquitoes must be fast enough to avoid the hand and books because the slower ones have died because of your actions, the faster ones are those that will now give rise to the offspring which will me as fast as their ancestors. Continual killing will ensure that over the years the mosquitoes will become faster because we kill the slower ones we are able to catch. If we use insecticides, some of these stubborn mosquitoes will be immune to the poison. The others that are not immune will die of. Those that are immune will father the next generation of the mosquitoes thus making them resistant to the new poison. The same is true for the common house mice. Its only God that will save those poor souls that are too poor to buy insecticides of nets in the poor regions of Africa and Asia. These insects from hell will stop at nothing to feed on our blood and transmit malaria. My God give us good health. |
Nice |
There is no empirical evidence that such a method would prove efficient. IT WONT WORK. SIMPLE. The pictures under the poster's post is not real substancial proof. If it works for you, it is only your imagination playing tricks on you. Lol |
Clothes are accessories. They tell us a lot of things about the woman wearing them. For instance, a woman that is putting on hijab is a muslim. A woman wearing dresses that bearly cover a nudity is not religious. Note that the clothes only give us a clue as to the psyche of the woman but does not decide independently her behaviour. |
Pls I need computer gurus to enlighten me on web designing. I am interested in designing my own website. ![]() |
