What are your opinions? I personally think that aliens are a possibility. There are millions of planets in the known part of the universe. What is the probability of finding one with the same conditions that support life like on earth. This civilization would be just like earth with some slight differences. Assume that in a box, there are 100 balls, 40 are red and 60 are blue. If we are studying and we take 5 balls out, these 5 are blue, we cannot assume that all the balls in the box are blue. In that sense, we cannot arrive at the conclusion that life does not exist somewhere else because we have studied a few thousand planets out of millions. That is my first opinion.

Secondly, what if we are looking in the wrong direction, because we are all carbon-based organisms who breath in oxygen,drink water, release oxygen and rely on photosynthesis. What if the other aliens are nitrogen-based organisms, who breath in ammonia, drink benzene, release methane and rely on chemosynthesis. Some organisms might be living right under our noses without us realizing it because we are busy looking for other things.


Its implication on religion is two-sided, it is
1. Positive, meaning that God created other beings apart from us who will also be judged on the Final day.
2. Negative, meaning that the whole creation story has been ridiculed since we are supposed to be special beings created in His image and Likeness.

Personally, I think it is nonsense. Because for you to see Africa for instance 6000 years ago, you would need to see the light rays of 6000 years ago in order to see the 6000 years ago africa. Much time would be needed and a tremendous amount of energy provided you are evn travelling at the speed of light. So my friend, the only possible way is to warp the rabric of space and time and cross into the FUTURE. not into the past. So imagine a 5 metre thread stretching from A to B. by bending the rope, point A can be stretched to point B i.e bending it into a circle and then releasing it into a straight line again.

I very much agree with the first poster on the sense that the DNA molecule which controls the activites of the living cell is just composed of some inorganic and organic bases. One wonders how these controls the living cell. This always leads me to the conclusion that there must be indeed always a greater being, infinitely intelligent and existing to make this work. Because life itself is a state of existence. Now what I would like to believe, that is, my opinion is that the origin of life started with the creation of a single organism(likely virus), completely coded with information on its many characteristics. As the popular saying goes, DIVIDE AND MULTIPLY. I would now believe that this kickstarted the evolutionary trend. This implies that this organism is the ADAM of life. I imagine that God is sitting back and watching his handiwork. This finally lead to the EVOLUTION of the modern man. US. I will like to propose that the chain will not end here. I propose that humans will involve into a more intelligent and hairless primate. Charles Darwin rules.
