There's a reason they're called 'wild'. Never form familiarity with them. |
Is this a campaign strategy or what? What, in the world, is BBNaija? What message does it pass to the populace? That you can have sex on live tv and become a hero? Complete waste of time and resources. |
Everything is not juju. People still fall in love. Wishing the couple the best. |
Confused MURIC. You didn't deem it fit to write epistles when your militia had the upper hand. Now that they are threatened, you will not let us rest. U better go and buy more pen and paper cos the season of epistles has just begun. :-) |

The Igbo ethnic group have been advised to stop blaming Hausa, Fulani or Yoruba for their problems in Nigeria. Her Royal Majesty, Obi Igwe Martha Dunkwu, the traditional ruler of Obodogba village, Okpanam in Oshilili North Local Government of Delta State, gave the charge in Enugu during the 4th anniversary of an Igbo interest group, Alaigbo Development Foundation (ADF) on Wednesday. The female traditional ruler who said that the Igbo men had failed outrightly to better the lots of the ethinc group, emphasized that they should not blame anybody, not even any of the ethnic groups for their failure to put their place in order but themselves. Dunkwu, who hails from the same town (Okpanam) with the late Major Kaduna Nzogwu, also said that Ndigbo are marginalising and under developing themselves as she blamed the governors of the South East for not using the resources at their disposal to develop their lands since 1999 till date. She said: "The Igbo men have failed colossally. Is it the Fulani, Yoruba or Hausamen that are governors, senators, House of reps members or local government chairmen in Igboland. What have they done with with the monies they get from Federal allocation." Dunkwu, the Omu of Anioma, said that Ndigbo abandoned their place for supposed greener pastures in other places in Nigeria thereby neglecting to develop their own towns. She cautioned that for Ndigbo to have their fair share in Nigeria, they must marry more wives, bear more children because it is population that determines political equation, adding that Ndigbo should send their youth to school for academics and skills acquisition. The traditional ruler said: "Stop talking about Hausa, Fulani, Yoruba people. We should focus on our lands. Talk to our youths to go to school and to learn skills. Igbo's should not be subservient to other Nigerians. It is not Hausa that asked you to abandon your land to invest in other lands. We should think home." While speaking on the theme of the anniversary: "The rebuilding and development of Alaigbo and the advancement of the spirit of her culture and civilization,” the President of ADF, Prof. Uzodinma Nwala, said that they hold their youth dearly and will always protect them. Nwala condemned the. manner the agitating youths in Igboland were hounded and hushed for agitating for a better Ndigbo, pointing out that other areas have their youths but never condemned them. "Any nation that does not value her youths is ruined or finished. We shall not let Ndigbo down. We shall always represent Ndigbo and Igbo interest,” he added. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/monarch-to-igbos-stop-blaming-hausa-fulani-yoruba-for-your-woes.html |
Thousands of Igbo, an ethnic group in Southeastern Nigeria, have begun arriving Washington DC for a major protest against 75-year old Nigerian leader Muhammadu Buhari. Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) would storm the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC on April 30 when Mr. Buhari would be meeting with President Donald Trump. In a statement to Today News Africa in Washington DC, the organizers of the protest said Mr. Buhari, a retired Nigerian Army General, is responsible for the death of thousands of Igbo activists who have been demanding independence from the oil-rich but dilapidated West African country. The leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, disappeared in strange circumstances, fueling speculations that he was abducted by Nigerian security forces following an attack on his residence. Our team of reporters in Washington DC would bring you live developments inside and outside the White House on April 30. The protesters would also accuse Mr. Buhari government of committing grave human rights violations across the country, and for not prosecuting those who perpetrated them. The accusations would also include the atrocities perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen throughout Nigeria. Igbo activists have argued that Nigeria has not treated the Igbo fairly following the civil war of 1967-1970 that left at least two million of their people dead as they tried to break up. The protests would be coming days after the United States government on Friday released a damning human rights report on Nigeria, saying grave violations continued to increase in 2017 while officials who perpetrated them were almost never prosecuted by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. President Buhari is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump at the White House on April 30, and both men would likely discuss further U.S. military assistance to Nigeria against the backdrop of serious human rights violations by security forces who use the same weapons to kill civilians. The U.S. annual report on global human rights violations, released in Washington D.C. on Friday afternoon, said the administration of President Buhari “took steps to investigate alleged abuses, but fewer steps to prosecute officials who committed violations, whether in the security forces or elsewhere in the government”. “Impunity remained widespread at all levels of government. The government did not adequately investigate or prosecute most of the major outstanding allegations of human rights violations by the security forces or the majority of cases of police or military extortion or other abuse of power,” the report said. It said the most significant human rights issues included extrajudicial and arbitrary killings; disappearances and arbitrary detentions; torture, particularly in detention facilities, including sexual exploitation and abuse; use of children by some security elements, looting, and destruction of property. There were also civilian detentions in military facilities, often based on flimsy evidence; denial of fair public trial; executive influence on the judiciary; infringement on citizens’ privacy rights; restrictions on freedoms of speech, press, assembly, and movement This was in addition to official corruption; lack of accountability in cases involving violence against women and children, including female genital mutilation/cutting and sexual exploitation of children; trafficking in persons; early and forced marriages; criminalization of status and same-sex sexual conduct based on sexual orientation and gender identity; and forced and bonded labor. The report recognized that Boko Haram terror group also committed a myriad of human rights violations, killing and torturing and imprisoning women and children and bombing entire villages. “ The groups conducted numerous attacks on government and civilian targets that resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries, widespread destruction, the internal displacement of approximately 1.8 million persons, and external displacement of an estimated 205,000 Nigerian refugees to neighboring countries, principally Cameroon, Chad, and Niger,” the report said. Boko Haram’s numerous attacks often targeted civilians. The group, which recruited and forcefully conscripted child soldiers, carried out scores of suicide bombings–many by young women and girls forced into doing so–and other attacks on population centers in the Northeast and in Cameroon, Chad, and Niger. “Abductions by Boko Haram continued. The group subjected many abducted women and girls to sexual and gender-based violence, including forced marriages and rape. The government investigated attacks by Boko Haram and ISIS- WA and took some steps to prosecute their members, although the majority of suspected insurgent group supporters were held in military custody without charge, “In its response to Boko Haram and ISIS-WA attacks, and at times in response to crime and insecurity in general, security service personnel perpetrated extrajudicial killings and engaged in torture, sexual exploitation and abuse, arbitrary detention, mistreatment of detainees, use of children by some security elements, looting, and destruction of property. The country also suffered from ethnic, regional, and religious violence,” the report added. www.todaynewsafrica.com/breaking-thousands-of-igbo-travel-to-washington-dc-to-protest-against-buhari-at-white-house-during-meeting-with-trump/featured/ |
Both just played out a script - to encourage and promote feminist views in the populace. |
Most know this to be true but allow primordial sentiments and frivolity to cloud their judgement. Some would rather see Nigeria collapse than even think of an Igbo becoming president. |

We can emulate the west in science and all, but not this most unnatural practice. They can have all of it. We don't care. Pulling out of the commonwealth is also an option. |
Glorious move. |
As for Sowore, what he said is ideal. But I'm not sure if he's sincere or he's up to some mischief due to his political aspirations. Looking at the enormous amount of 'love' drowning this country, why don't we just go our separate ways? Why stay together and decieve ourselves with one Nigeria when we're actually not united? I, for one, would prefer a strict confederacy. This present unitarian structure hasn't been effective for a multi-ethnic, multi-religious country like Nigeria. |

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has lambasted former President, Olusegun Obasanjo for his attacks on President Muhammadu Buhari. Obasanjo recently advised Nigerians not to re-elect Buhari in 2019. But the group in a statement signed by its National President, Alhaji Yerima Shettima, on Friday, slammed the ex president for the comment. “For quite some time, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has turned himself into a self- appointed messiah in the efforts to define the political and democratic future of this country. “And the result of this meddlesomeness by the former president has been disastrous for the country,” the group said. AYCF said that it is disgusting that the former president is still bent on interfering with Nigeria’s leadership problems created by people like him. The group said that it has noticed that the former president has made it a duty to lampoon President Buhari at every given opportunity, in a desperate bid to portray himself as Nigeria’s democratic superman. “Much as we are equally disappointed in the underperformance of President Buhari, we are not blinded by the fact that Obasanjo has no moral high ground for his repeated attacks on Buhari. “The current president may have his serious shortcomings but he is still morally a better leader than Obasanjo. “We challenge Obasanjo to tell us any of the current political and economic difficulties confronting the nation that are not connected to his meddlesomeness and manipulations. Let him exonerate himself from the current mess facing the country, if at all he can. “It will no longer be acceptable for any old cargo to decide the fate of over 160 million Nigerians. We have had enough of this domineering old men in the democratic space and we are now saying its over,” it noted. AYCF urged Nigerians of good conscience to ignore Obasanjo’s rantings and face the reality of this defining moment in the history of the nation. “We have warned, whoever has ear, let him hear!” the statement concluded. www.dailypost.ng/2018/04/06/northern-youths-warn-obasanjo-attacks-buhari/ |

President of the Redeemed Israel Community of Nazarene Association (RICONA) of Nigeria, Bishop Ignatius Orizu, has insisted that the Igbos are Jews. According to him, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) sampling conducted by the Jewish Voice Ministries International last year in search of the lost tribes of Israel, which allegedly proved that Igbo were not Israelites, must be repeated. Orizu made the call when the association hosted the founder of ShuvuTV, Rabbi Itzhak Shapira, in Nnewi, Anambra State, during his first visit to Nigeria. The cleric argued that after a careful study of the whole exercise, the association came to the conclusion that the sampled population was statistically small and did not represent the true population of the Igbo. “The idea, I guess, was to randomly sample the Igbo population, for the discovery of Jewish root. The Igbo population is not less than 50 million, but, unfortunately, a population of 120 people, which is not even up to one percent of the target Igbo population was sampled. “I, humbly, suggest that an improved sampling process be adopted. The whole Igbo states should be randomly sampled to involve about five million Igbo, which is about 10 percent of the Igbo population. With this, the whole population will be affected and any result obtained from the process would be accepted by the Igbo populace,” Bishop Orizu insisted. www.dailypost.ng/2018/04/05/igbo-jews-not-nigerians-bishop-orizu-insists/ |
Leader of Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, Princewill Obuka, has warned of an impending danger, following what he described as the, “senseless killings of non-Muslim faith in the country by Fulani extremists.” Faulting President Muhammadu Buhari’s alleged silence despite herdsmen’s attacks, Obuka said Buhari will “sit up” when he “hears exchange of bullets” in self defense across the South East. Wondering why government has failed to proscribe Fulani herdsmen as terrorists, the BNYL leader stressed that people of the South East are “prepared in all ramification” to stage resistance against “Jihadist Fulani herdsmen.” A statement he signed and sent to DAILY POST reads,”The failed government of Buhari will sit up when the chips are down, until they hear exchange of bullets in defense of our land, they will not learn. “Since they have Fulani people licence to carry guns, they should know that this time, we will not allow history to repeat itself, we are prepared in all ramifications and they will see strong resistance against jihadist Fulani herdsmen troubling our land”. www.dailypost.ng/2018/04/05/biafra-group-blows-hot-reveals-will-happen-herdsmen-igbo-land/ |

A lecturer at the Faculty of Communication, Bayero University Kano, Bala Mohammed, has pointed accusing finger on the Igbo drugs merchants for allegedly supplying codeine syrups into northern Nigeria. The lecturer made the accusation while presenting a paper at the Kano Youth Summit on Peace Advocacy and Development, organised by Hamisu Magaji Foundation, at Mambayya House, on Monday. In the paper titled: “Nexus between youth, drugs, crime and insecurity”, Mr Mohammed blamed the Igbos, with connivance of local people, for the prevalence of drug abuse in the northern region, especially Kano state. Mr Mohammed wondered why drug abuse was not prevalent in the Southeastern region, but the Igbo people resorted to supplying cough syrup that contains codeine for the consumption of the Northern youth. “Our investigation revealed that drug abuse is beyond normal marijuana, cocaine, alcohol, etc. It has moved to the extent that the medicines we take in order to cure our diseases are now being converted into hard drugs. “We then discovered that it is the handiwork of the Igbo people, who connive with our local people here, to supply the codeine into our region, especially into Kano state. “There are many instances where Igbo guys were arrested over supplying codeine into Kano and some parts of the North. The cases have been reported on national dailies. “So, why shouldn’t they take it to their region? Why don’t their youth engage in drug abuse? This is really sad, and we have to rise up to fight this menace,” he lamented. Mr Mohammed also blamed court judges for compromise to secure the release of the suspects without trial, noting that, that was the reason the problem was deteriorating. He, therefore, called on the general public to fight the menace themselves within their respective communities, advising the public not to disown the youth engaged in drug abuse. Speaking earlier, the chairman of the foundation, Hamisu Magaji, said the essence of the summit was to enlighten the youth ahead of the 2019 elections. https://dailynigerian.com/igbos-blamed-for-prevalence-of-drug-abuse-in-north/ |
