Health / Re: Jehovah's Witness Wife Rejected Blood Transfusion For Her Husband & He Died by mastermind2020(m): 5:51pm On Mar 15, 2022
Pecoleee345:
Should A Wife Be Allowed To Take A Big Decision Without Informing Her In-law?

Good afternoon everybody.i will make this short as possible.

A friend of mine just died in luth (cause of that was anemia). He was operated upon and they told his wife to get blood (2 r.o) for transfusion after the procedure but due to being a jehova witness she decided not to get the blood (jehova witness don't take blood,is against there faith).

She had a back and forth about the blood with the doctors and was asked to sign incase anything happen which she sign without the husband family knowledge....it was only her and her fellow jehova witness that took the decision.

He passed away this midnight, she called her in-law to inform them and I also got the information from the deceased younger brother.

On getting here the family found out the surgery was successful but he died of anemia, the doctors told them it was the wife decision not to get him blood against there prescriptions and infact she signed taking responsibility if anything happens.

A serious fight is happening here, the family are claiming she killed there son which I totally agree to as well.

So this my question, should a wife be allowed to take such a big decision without informing the husband family first.

Note; it was her in-laws that were paying the hospital bills.

Another life wasted all in the name of religion

You are the problem. If someone wants to be objective, he should go to all the regions in the country and find out if people are benefiting from the scheme before coming to mislead people. It was this kind of marginalization mentality that led to the first military coup which led to a civil war.

Politics / Are We Still ONE NIGERIA? by mastermind2020(m): 9:06pm On Apr 07, 2020
Yesterday, my friend and I took a long drive around five remote villages in different places in Abuja, FCT. We visited villages in Dutse Alhaji, Lugbe, Kuje, Gwagwalada and Gudu.

My motive was to find out if truly some poor Nigerians benefited from the N20,000 Federal Government has announced to have been distributed to over 2.6million Nigerians.

We found out:
1. Some poor Nigerians especially in the Northern Zones have been receiving N5,000 monthly Stipends from FG since 2017.

2. Every beneficiary of the N5,000 has an issued ID card and all personal details captured in a book. As they disburse to you, you sign on the referenced month and they tick appropriately in their record. You have an alternative family member that can receive the money on your behalf in a situation where you're not available at the time.

3. This disbursement is done through a Federal Government program called HOUSEHOLD UPLIFTMENT PROGRAMME (HUP). One of the beneficiary in Kuje Area Council was kind enough to allow us take a Snap of his Beneficiary ID card after we assured him of keeping his identity private. See attached pictures.

4. Usually, at the beginning of the year, they do skip January disbursement and pay N10,000 by February. But this year 2020 they have not showed up.

5. They came beginning of April 2020 and started disbursement of the money. January to April money was dispensed at once (N5,000 X 4 = N20,000). This was NEVER termed Covid-19 Palliative package before them.

6. Many of them were shocked when they heard in the News and watched in the television that Federal Govt provided N20,000 Covid-19palliative package to them. To them, such News is false, as what they received and as ticked in their Cards was the usual N5,000 monthly stipends.

DEDUCTION FROM OUR VARIOUS ENQUIRIES

1. Some Nigerians, especially in the Northern part of Nigeria has been receiving N5,000 Stipends from FG since 2017.

2. Some of the Beneficiaries are not really poorest of the poor Nigerians. The process of capturing and verification is too porous and insincere and so many of those who're not supposed to be captured in the programme get squeezed themselves in. 'Nigeria thing' many of us will term this one.

3. The N20,000 payment in all the places we visited is NEVER a Covid-19 Palliative package but the long established N5,000 Monthly Stipends to poorest of the poor Nigerians.

4. The alleged N20,000 Covid-19 Palliative package by Federal Government to 2.6million Nigerians is largely unfounded and unsubstantiated. If such money was shared at all, it's obviously to a far less number . However, I stand to be corrected with tangible facts on this.

5. Some agents of Federal Govt (e.g BPE) shared food items to some residents of Abuja, FCT as Covid-19 Palliative packages. No money was shared by them, just some few food items; Yam, Rice, Beans, Superghetti, Tomatoes, etc.

6. The N5,000 monthly stipend to poorest of the poor Nigerians seems to be effective only in the Northern part of Nigerians. On this too, I stand to be corrected with tangible facts.

7. Federal Govt should come up with clear statement on how the Vulnerable Nigerians who received the alleged N20,000 Covid-19 Palliative packages were selected and possibly gazette their information for public notice. Afterall, it's our money and we should know how it was spent.

Religion / Pastors Are Human Too by mastermind2020(m): 9:40am On Jun 24, 2018
PASTORS ARE HUMAN TOO !!!

A pastor stood up to teach in our church service. The first thing he asked the church to do was to go and ask someone "How was your day?". Everyone went around asking, shaking and patting each other's back. Some even hugged themselves!
I smiled as I saw it all. Guess what? No one came to the Pastor to ask him that simple question, 'How was your day?'. Yet! he was tired and it had been a really hard day for him.
• Pastors and Medical doctors may have something in common. People believe they are fine as long as they are breathing!
• You are quick to ask your Pastor, "Are you praying for me?" But have you ever told him "I am praying for you sir".
• You know how to accuse the Pastor of not visiting you but
have you ever stopped by, to check on him and his family to say hello?
• You tell the Pastor that you are going on vacation but have you ever wondered when last he had a break. All because of the flock?
• Your Pastor smiles at you telling you, "It is well with you", when at times, it is a prophecy for himself. He is also believing God for his.
• A pastor can officiate a wedding or naming ceremony just after consoling a bereaved family. Can you imagine that emotional switch- yet he must be stable as a Pastor.
• Your pastor is human too! Trust me, there are days he did not feel like coming to church due to illness, discouragement, lack, tiredness etc but he still did! Some of the lovely suits cover the pains.
• I have seen pastors quit because of depression- true!. Everyone knows how to fault a Pastor but not many know he has pains of his own.
• Everyone knows how to judge a Pastor's action thinking he is an angel but not everyone wants him to discipline them even if its part of his job!
• You hold your Pastor down for hours by the reason of counseling and prayers not minding that his family needs his attention too. Yet, he must try to satisfy you.
• Some put on expensive Italian suits or designer's suits while their Pastor's suit is folding at the back, yet he keeps on wearing it to church 4 weeks in a month because clothing should not be an excuse for not discharging his duty.
• You put on Italian shoes and your Pastor's shoe is laughing because of wear and tear!
• You can put a smile on your pastor's face. Appreciate your Pastor.
• Buy gifts for your pastor and his family too, do you even know if he has food to eat after preaching to you?
• Send words and messages of love and encouragement to him, it may be the last thing he needs now.
• Seriously, when last did you call your Pastor just to wish him well and ask how he is and his family? Distance is not a barrier!!!
• Remember, he has the onerous job of watching over your spiritual well being. The happier and more stable he is, the better he will discharge his duties over your life.
• Help your Pastor to succeed and experience comfort, not the other way round!!!
• I have simply told you what some Pastors may never tell you because of their integrity! They will never beg and they are not supposed to. God forbid!!!
Feel free to share.

God bless our Pastors!!!

4everGod:

OP as a believer there is nothing wrong with eating it! The bible says that we can eat even those things offered to idols but we should give thanks to almighty God for it. However this is for a grounded believer who lives by faith and not fear.

A young believer with doubts shouldnt do so and also a mature believer should not eat it in the presence of an immature believer who still believes that its not right to eat it.....this is for the sake of his faith.

Every food or animal comes from God so be they from Native doctors, juju worshippers, muslims etc feel free to eat if you are spiritually matured to do so. Afterall how would they accept you or your message when you reject their hospitality?

God bless you.
it is very wrong eating it...read 1 corinthians chapter 10 from verse 7 to verse 23
