minute: You forgot to tell as about the drama on your Facebook profile which will definitely be the consequences of having all these relations as FB friends. How about your Dad? Is he friends with you, your mum, and your mum's boyfriend, too. Please add me. . . I love reading Facebook drama. ![]() |
CHAIRMAN1:Amen to that! Goodluck o! |
Hehehe, That's a tough one ![]() |
Emperoh:Yes o! I remember Gomwalk, UNN VC in 1995/1996 did the same thing. He increased school fees by some outrageous percentage and students went on riot. They burned cars, broke windows, beat the guy up and put him in the hospital. The students went home for 8 whole months. When school resumed, they had to pay reparation fees as well as the increased school fees. In 2001/2002, Mbanefo, the new UNN VC did the same thing again. And the students reacted as predicted. They rioted. Again, another sit at home for 6-8 months or so. It's as if the VC's are doing this increase-school-fees thing on purpose. the reparation fees helps to enrich them even more than the school fees, so go figure! |
It seems the VC is trying to mimic the amount of money paid as school fees in Western countries. In the US, for e.g, Out-of-state tuition costs at least $4500 (~ N500,000 or more); In-state tuition is about $2000 (~ N300,00O or more) per year. This means that many parents will have to start saving for their kid's college tuition right from the day the child is born ![]() But at least, when you visit these schools, you will see and understand immediately why the tuition is so high: they have good system of education with the best labs, research, infrastructure, professors, libraries, bathrooms, in-campus buses, housing, dorms, insurance, etc So if Nigerian Universities should start accepting this same amount of school fees, can they boast of the same level and quality of education as Western Colleges? No be only to talk for mouth say 'Education is not for the poor'. If them give am the money, wetin e go carry am do? That is the big question. |
Cytosin:I had to laugh out loud at this. ![]() So now the innocent and long-suffering masses are to bear the brunt of the Bank salary cut? |
These are really scary stories. When will these yahoo-yahoo business stop? ![]() |
Here is another version of the phishing e-mail. This one is supposedly from 'Central Bank of Nigeria.' You can always tell these scam e-mails by the poor business language and lack of proper editing. That apart, why would a whole CBN contact me? I don't even have an account in Nigeria! Lol! Please note that Your ATM Card would be suspended due to the emergence of the new Interswitch (Verve) Chip and Pin card. |
ehie007:The verve card you're talking about is it not the same one hackers are already using to skim for ATM Bank Card Numbers and PIN? Just this week alone, I have already received two emails like the one below. And the funniest thing is that I don't even have a bank account in Nigeria! Dear Card Holder, |
pafun:Lol! This guy is very funny, but yes, the hammer-beating works, too. |
It's probably just a small case of Alzheimers. Don't panic, he'll be fine soon. |
God help Yar'Adua. Now that he's indisposed his people want to bail on him. Reminds me of Moses on the Mountain. |
miss reese:He is right. Those are some of the ingredients that go into meat tenderizers. Some enzymes are added, too. kaecy5:This works too. Salts toughens proteins during cooking. Same happens with eggs and fish. |
Tpia, you have tried. However, browse through the poster's threads. She appears to be just seeking for attention. She's recently married, lives in PH, and I don't believe she just doesn't know how to use a toaster. Unless she came straight from the villla. But, even then, she must have at least gone through sec sch, right? Or maybe her hubby has one of those huge, oven-style toasters meant for pizza. You may never know. Lol |
madam L:Sounds like Eba n Ge |
In my school junior girls used to chew up moin-moin leaves, swallow the juice and spit out the fibre. |
^^^ Lol! ![]() |
Is your question about food, or would you like us to tell you the kind of hot soup the cheating partner will land in if caught? |
This is just so funny. i don't believe the poster is serious ![]() |
Try to do without diet coke. |
Beans and honey ![]() Rice and caramel (Tastes like rice crispies) |
What about Zobo? It contains a lot of polyphenols and other antioxidants which are very good for the body i.e. provided you don't add too much sugar or caloric sweetners. |
It depends on your metabolic rate. It doesn't happen to everyone. |
Cookbooks and watching food channels on TV will help. the fastest way to learn though is by watching and learning from experience. If you have a friend that knows how to cook, always accompany him or her into the kitchen to see what they do and how they do it, and what the food should look like at various stages of the cooking process. Then go home and try it on your own. With time, you will gain enough confidence. |
Just wondering what you mean by Nigerian-style cake. Isn't there a better name for it? Like maybe Fairy Cake, Raisin-bran Cake, Carrot Cake, Butter Cake, Ice-cream Cake, Coffee Cake, Friut Cake, etc? |
I love veggies. Don't know how else to contribute to a thread like this. ![]() |
You an also try putting them together in an air-tight plastic bag with other kinds of climacteric fruits that are already undergoing the ripening stage (giving off ethylene) e.g. Bananas, paw-paw, cantaloupe. Then store in a dark place (like your kitchen cupboard). |
^^^ Or use a pressure cooker if you have one. Otherwise, use meat tenderizer, or tenderize by beating and marinate before cooking. Another good way is to stew the meat slowly in it's own juice. Don't bring to a hard boil, just let it simmer. What kind of beef cut are you using though? |
james1:I agree, but I'm not so sure about the salt. Why add sugar if you know you'd tone the sweetness down again with salt? |
Rice!!!!!!!! Then maybe bread and eggs. |
Ogaga4Luv:Sick . . . |
