irohak: Hello,
Please inform I need your candid advice. I just checked my CIC account to know the update with my student visa application. I discovered that under the eligibility colum, I have been declared "not legible" for the course I applied for. Meanwhile, my letter of admission sates that the status of my admission is "UNCONDITIONAL "
However, every other colum still states that I will be notified if a decision is taken. In all these, the column for final decision is still blank.
Please tell me what do you make of this? when did you apply? |

On the check list, where they asked have you ever been refused a Visa or permit to enter Canada...
I will tick *Yes*
My question now is if Yes, please provide details...
What should I put?
should I put the general reason for my refusal or the reason the VO gave in my gcms note? |

Application Approved!
Exactly 12 weeks after I submitted (I told God that 12 represents completion (12 tribes of Israel & the 12 disciples) and that my eligibility and background must be complete today, even though my eligibility was not being reviewed as at this morning)
Application Date: 5th June, 2017 Approval Date: 28th August, 2017
I sent mails to Accra Like four (4) times reminding them of my resumption date and that my degree requirements can only be fully achieved if I start my program in the fall term.
But above all it was God’s mercy that gave me this approval.
I fasted and prayed, and enjoined my fathers in the faith to remember me in prayers.
I’m still coming with a comprehensive story as I always do, especially with Rocorleone my Guy. As its being said on this forum, you can actually make the best of friends on this forum – God really made our case different.
In the meantime, attached were the documents I submitted. It was written in PanRoman hence i couldn't copy it here but all the same i think being in jpeg is even kind of better as you can easily download for easy referencing,
….they that sow in tears shall reap in Joy!!, He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him Ps 126: 5 – 6.
I sowed in tears and this was God’s personal word to me.
Thank you Jesus once again.
It ended in Praise
More TRV approvals IJN Congrats... please I need clarification.. Under the embassy document, you submitted letter of explanation/SOP... under academic documents, you submitted letter of intent... My question now is are you referring to the letter you sent to your proposed supervisor telling him/her that you would love to be a part of his research group (as letter of intent) |

Osemigho: Fully funded students maybe denied on home tie but I think that will just be part of finance. So long you are single with no dependent, full scholarship I.e funding that equal to or more than your school fees+10,000 cad from Canadian university will zero any doubt of finance. Cic recognize the scholarship well for student visa and even Express entry.
Although I used family, landed property and family as home tie, I have seen fully funded students with no job or property but family get Visa.
History of this thread reveal that some past fully funded students present account as low as #300,000 sef but they emphasize full scholarship from their school in their visa app. That's why I called out the last scholar that was rejected here to tell me how he filled the fund part of his CIC forms because I was convinced he did the mistake I noted earlier.
If it's about having tens or hundreds of millions in account, people like myself shouldn't dream of Canada. Full funding is made for indigent scholars like myself. Goodluck to any that has it and still struggling to find millionaire sponsor. You Better don't waste your time!
Just my ten kobo that I have to share. I'm not talking about the funding issue again. Thanks. Pls, can you answer my question just for a friend.. He tuition fees is $12,000 Got a research assistantship of $7000/y for his two years M. sc program.. Got a teaching assistantship of $4,000 His aunty is her sponsor and she has paid his full tuition fees of $12,000 with receipt of payment as evidence.. Also his aunty is sponsoring him with $11,000 for his living expenses out of the $25,000 in her bank statement.. The guy in question has #700,000 in his own personal account... His dad says he will also sponsor him with just $5000 My question is, how much is available for his stay? He is confused as he doesn't know how much to fill in the section on the check list... Need guru's input |

muyem: Dear All,
I need your kind advise on how best to respond to the letter I received from the Canada Immigration section, Ghana. The question is,
"On the current application form, you indicate that you have never been refused any kind of visa, admission, or been ordered to leave Canada or any other country. According to information in our records, you were refused visa(s) to the United States in the following year(s): 2016"
I never indicated that I was never refused any kind of visa. I ticked yes I was refused, Because I was previously refused that of the Canada. Meanwhile I was refused USA visa last year but was later given in March this year before my reapplying for Canada visa so I see no reason to state that in my form except that if Canada which I was reapplying for.
I have been given 2weeks to respond.
I need your kind advise. Thank you all in advance. when was this mail sent to you? |

squash1986: Hello house, please I need an urgent answer to my problem.
I just received a mail from cic which they tagged as 'procedural fairness'. It happened that sometime last year, I applied for a non-immigrant visa to U.S which I was denied. Now, while applying for my Canadian study visa, I forgot to indicate that I was once denied an American visa, and cic have found out. They sent me a message informing about this error in my application, at the same time, tagging it that I may have engaged in a mis-representation.
The good thing though is that I have been given 15 days to respond to this query. House, please how do I go about resolving this issue? What documents do I need to send to CIC to let them know that it was an error on my side and not a mis-representation.
Please query is also attached. I would like a honest and sincere respond to my problem. Thank you. Are you sure you received this mail today? Do CIC works on Sunday? |

And this includes the Lagos Visa Office Instructions form which encapsulates the content of all other forms mentioned here. I have downloaded the Study Permit Application Form( Lagos Visa Office Instructions) and have meticulously filled it with Adobe Auto fill.
Please note that am applying via paper and NOT ONLINE. so how can I possibly generate a barcodes for a paper application?
Thanks for your time and concern To generate the barcode, you will need to validate the lMM 1294 form. The validation column can be found on top or below the form... Once, you have faithfully filled the form, click on the validation column and thus, the barcode will be generated... |

penitential: Your application for masters program has been refused. What the school is doing is that; they are giving you the option of taking the pre-masters program. If you won't take the pre-masters program, then you're not likely going to get any admission from the school. Well, pre-master program usually last for a year. You will be required to take some courses (not included in your UG school syllabus but present in theirs). Upon completion of these courses, if you meet their GPA for masters admission, you will have to apply for masters program afresh. You can get a TRV for the program. Meaning I will have to come back to Nigeria to apply for the masters program in order to get my TRV? |
