My advice is ask the mechanic what he will be changing and make sure you are there while he is doing all that. Never allow him to do it behind your back. Take away a day to fix it and test run before you pay him workmanship. That's my stance.

The gear hasn't stop selecting boss but just a little delay before selecting and when it select, it moves well. I changed my gear oil eight months ago boss.

Soon it will stop does it jerk before selection. Plan on changing it, my 07 camry gear started having issues I fixed it but it was a total waste. I have to bring down the whole gear box and get a replacement

When a gear stop to select it means that the gearbox is faulty. There is no way he will change fibre calibre and it won't affect the selection. He just want to extort you.
