Mine wasn't embarrassing but a bit scary, during the lock down I had issues with my bank account, it was locked, I couldn't transfer, withdraw or perform any transaction on the account, and all my money was in that bank account.

In the midst of the lock down I had to go to the bank branch on foot, hoping I would be able to resolve the issue, it was a very long trek, on getting there I was welcomed by a mammoth crowd, each one of them, having one issue or the other with their bank account, about over 50% of them their had the same issue as mine, their accounts were locked and they couldn't perform any transaction on it.

The bank had closed and wasn't attending to any customer, after waiting for hours in the scouring sun, amist the mammoth crowd, with no social distancing being observed, I decided to go home, mind you I didn't go with any face mask or protective gear.

So to the main story, some days later, at night I developed sever pains on my chest, it was like I had a bag of cement placed on my chest, and I was struggling to breathe.

One voice started telling me, "o boy you Don catch corona virus, this is 1 of the symptoms", I was too scared to tell anybody at home, I just gathered my strength, got a cup of water, read psalm 91 into it, prayed on it, drank it and commanded healing on my body, I did that and went back to sleep, by morning I was completely fine, like nothing had happened.

Am still in good health till now, I thank God for the healing, but I won't lie the experience scared the shit out of me, I was almost convinced I contacted COVID-19

In smartphones, increasing battery capacity is a luxury many manufacturers can't afford, hence the more realistic approach of reducing power consumption.

People who still believe that Nigeria will work somehow with the current arrangements are less than any form of mammal in reasoning.

This country never worked and will never work.

Dissolution remains the best option followed by true federalism, if at all anything should be binding on the regions.

Some people are afraid of being on their own, I don't know why this is so. What are they afraid of? Always attacking people who believe in themselves.

Some people are not brought up to be mediocres and slaves....some were designed to take their destiny into their own hands....

The best that can happen to this country is dissolution and if it doesn't work still, then regions can renegotiate coming back to be one if they so wish.

I am certain that the North, East, South and even West shall be better for it.

There is no unity in this country and there will be non in the next 1million years to come.

this words made so much sense, like what is stopping the hausas from being on thier own actually, something is not right somewhere, there's a goldmine in the south and they know it

Even if the speculation is true, I am sure they won't first come to smartphones.
it has already been employed in core i9 cpus 10th gen, but since smartphones run on completely different architectures (RISC) all we can do is fold our hands and wait, to be honest these are the kind of things I wish I could explore here in the shit hole county, knowledge is just wasting cry

As you pointed out earlier, desktop and laptop CPUs are a completely different kettle of fish. The core-i U series CPUs are for low power usage scenarios, for example ultrabooks and 2-in-1 convertible laptops (The U stands for Ulira Low Voltage), because they have a TDP of 15W compared to the typical >=45W TDP of other CPUs. The boost mode (burst mode) is not for sustained workloads, just like the highest speed setting on a blender, or the red line a car's speedometer. The U series CPUs are not designed for that type of usage.
I totally understand what you're trying to point out, but suppose it's the same idea they're trying to bring to deca cores? Cos power consumption in mobile devices is 2 ways, up the battery capacity or lower the power draw

Sunkyphil:
I have always had this debate that 4g network consumes same data as 3g just that the battery percentage drops faster. But some says it consumes more data.

How true is this Facts and evidence will be appreciated
well somehow it's a sort of a rule (that device manufacturers are trying so hard to bend), the more the power requirements the more power it draws from meeting that power requirement hardware wise, so yes 4G consumes more battery and data just that you won't notice it if you're using an up to date phone cos most 4G phones today come with better battery and more OS optimization to prevent apps from sucking data in the background, even when I was in the United states people manage mobile data cos it's costly, the only thing saving them is there is wifi everywhere.. hope this answer does it for you

Modified ; if you got extra money to spare buy a power bank, me I'm using a mifi modem cos I have too many phones and it saves me alot of data and battery as well, depends on where you are sha

I understand ur logic, if those core is not too far apart in terms of performance but in a situation where the core is extreemly less powerful, i will prefer a more powerful core that will get the job done in matter of nano seconds comapre to the weak cores that will get the job done in milisecound.

They say heads are better than one, but it is not always true.
you're right, it's just like intels i5 8500u (using it as an example) the only thing keeping that processor relevant in the i5 series is turbo boost technology (where the speeds bump up with more load applied for a certain amount of time before bottlenecking), but suppose they don't lower the speed? Or would that be unrealistic for mobile devices?

I don't think there are apps that will benefit from deca-core SoCs right now. Apart from the attendant high power draw which has been pointed out, it will just be used for pointless marketing.
more battery? Guess the standard will 5000mah for any device using that architecture and who said apps won't benefit, there are games (heavy ones) already being tested on such architecture and they tend to have better framerates

Gbam!!!

Even AMD are coming too.

They've realised that there's serious money in the Smartphone ecosystem that they're losing out on. This will encourage competition in this section which will help bring down prices.

This can only be good news for us I hope.
abeg they should do and come, they're still doing it gaming consoles they can do it with mobile phones so they can knock off all these wack mtk chipset once and for all, AMD will have the upper hand here cos they're cheap but they need to work a way around heat that's the only issue I'm having with them

Now that number is not a determinant of how good the cores are, it is now looking more complex than i imagine.
So,i have to be familiar with every single chipset, regardless of the number appended.
that's why we have benchmarks for processor's, that way you can compare performance, it's pretty simple. I did that before buying my present laptop and I've not regretted making that decision cos left alone for me I would've bought rubbish

The Redmi Note 9S (or Pro) with the SD720G will slightly outperform the Mi 9T (or Redmi K20) with the SD730.

Both the 730 and the 720G come with A76 CPUs for their heavy lifting but the 730 is clocked at 2.2GHz while the 720G is clocked at 2.3GHz. This alone gives it a slight nudge ahead.

This will reflect in GeekBench and Antutu benchmarks when the 720G holds a slight lead over the 730. This is in terms of CPU performance alone.

As we be Africans, na numbers dey move us. I once tried to show someone that SD675 was far superior to SD665. He almost took my head off. He refused to agree that SD675 had a better performance. In truth SD675 performed as well as, if not even better than the SD710 and 712.

All those numbers are for marketing. The new SD690 5G will destroy SD710 and 712 too yet if you look at the names, you'll think otherwise.

Let the architecture and the bench marks show you the way Baba.
beautifully written, it's not all the time newer processors are better lol, if that clock speed is not high an older one with slightly higher clock speeds will always out perform no matter what

The problem is the power consumption, octa is enough for all the multitasking our phone will do, packing 10core looks like over kill especially non power efficient cores is a burden on battery and heating issue is inevitable.

May be decacore may make a come back when 5nm technology becomes cheap, however instead of decacore i will always prefer less of high performance cores over more of lower performance core.

well to be honest with you number of cores sometimes matter even in mobile devices, it's just like labour division, say if 8 people are pulling water out of a well no matter how small they are if they got enough speed they'll do a perfect job in performance than when 2 persons are doing the same job even at greater speed, and when it comes to mobile it all boils down to architecture of the processor... so yeah it won't be overkill having 10 cores cos las las peformance demand on mobile devices is going up rather this recent years

People reading this should know CPU in laptops are totally different from CPU in phones don't mind the 2.5ghz phones can't achieve those speeds in real time infact due to many things like heat, battery and size of mobile devices they run on an architecture called soc which is where ARM comes in, and they are very low powered (don't draw enough watts) to match power requirements of laptops ... just note that

1: 3: 3 or 1: 3: 4 or 1: 2: 3 ( I remember I got the ratio on here on NL, accompanied with some good engineering sites)

The wall plastering may have being of poor quality but the under decking plastering was a ratio of 1 bag to 6 or 5 buckets.

Also untop the decking before the water tanks were placed is partially tiled.

Do you think we were still highly economical?
remove the water tank they are not supposed to be placed directly on decking I've been to places where this is a major issue, build a tank stand with metal structure and have peace of mind
