Minister of Foreign Affairs , Geoffrey Onyeama , has announced that the GMD, Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) have both agreed to fund, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the cost of quarantine accommodation and feeding for Nigerians returning to the country from abroad .

Geoffrey Onyeama further expressed his profound gratitude to President Buhari for the support given to Nigerians in desperate situations around the world , he also thanked Mr Godwin Emefiele and the Honourable Minuster of Environment, Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar.

Kaduna State governor , Nasir El-Rufai has said that fifty travel ban violators have been quarantined for 14 days , but however , KDSG will no longer offer the option of quarantine for persons traveling illegally. Federal and state regulation prohibit all non-essential travels . All person are expected to stay out where ever the are .
In series of tweets , the governors wrote ;

With the the exception of person on essential duty , anybody attempting to enter Kaduna state will henceforth be turned back and compelled to return to their points of departure. Employees of the FG and ohh th we state governments that are not on essential duty should desist from breaking the ban on intestate travel . KDSG officials on enforcement duty have noticed many FG staff on the road , traveling with their families and friends for non-essential reasons .

Such person ought to set an example of compliance with regulations , including the national prohibition of interstate travel imposed by Preaident Muhammadu Buhari . FG vehicles , IDs and uniforms should not be used to violate state regulations or to assume immunity from them .

The standing committee also appealed to all Kaduna state residents to cooperate with health officials whenever they are required to be tested for Covid19 , provide contacts details or to submit for isolation for treatment , if they test positive.

It is a violation of the law and infectious disease regulations for anyone to seek to evade testing or treatment, Persons who knowingly place other people in danger of infection or avoid testing and treatment are liable to prosecution for endangering public safety .

Delta state governor , Ifeanyi Okowa, today paid an unscheduled visit to the inter-state boundaries to assess the level of compliance in regards to President Buhari’s directive to restrain all inter-state movement to essential goods, services and personnel .
The Governor said this restriction is very necessary to contain the spread of corona virus , hence , all unauthorized vehicles entering the state in violation of the directive will be impounded , and their owners persecuted .
According to the governor , inert-state movement of good and services , has been restricted to agricultural products, food, medical and pharmaceutical products only.
